Conquering Steel Bender: Surviving Another Extreme Off-Road Trail in Moab, Utah
Shane, Darcie, and their group of off-road friends had been eagerly anticipating their trip to Moab, Utah to tackle the infamous Steel Bender trail. The group was well-prepared, with two Jeeps equipped with heavy-duty modifications, including on TJ with metal cloak armor and 37 and another TJ buggy with 42-inch tires, as well as a Ford Ranger Buggy on 42s, and a couple more rubicon’s on 35s. However, as it turned out, the trail was relatively easy, with only one section proving to be a challenge: the notorious Waterfall.

We took the rock crawlers to Carnage Canyon off road trail in Buena Vista, Colorado. We had tow Jeep Wrangler TJs, a Jeep CJ and a Jeep YJ tear up the waterfall and V Notch. We all made it through the trail mechanically but two Jeeps, the TJ and YJ, both ran into electrical issues on the worst part of the trail, the famous V Notch. We got a new GenRight built 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ “Mayhem” with their buggy build on 40 inch tires to play with our 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ Rubicon “Da RubicoRn” with a full Metalcloak build. We took the TJs to rock crawl out in Buena Vista at Chinaman Gulch trail and had a blast! The TJ buggy conquers the hardest line on the “Whales Tail” obstacle no problem!

What kind of fender flayers are they? Are they from bushwacker? And all I can see is they only fit up 2016. But I don't understand why they wouldn't fit a 2017. Darcie is funny! I just went to Moab for the first time and did Fins & Things and Hell's Revenge with a guide (2 of us Moab newbies on the trip). I hate heights so the start of Hell's was a biggie for me. Our guide took us on Baby Lion's Back as some training for how it feels. He was awesome. I'm glad I did it and now looking at other Badge of Honor trails. I have a 2015 JKU Sport with just a rear locker on 35's. This year I got MeatlCloak rock sliders and the undercloak skids. Great video!

My warranty from jeep actually covered it all! I also have insurance that will cover Andy thing aftermarket that gets messed up too!
