    Hi, I love this video and it helped me do my set successful for the first time. I did have a problem with my thumb. All of my dual forms are too small and I tired to bend it but it didn't work. Any suggestions? Can you also do a video on what to do if you forgot to smooth out the underside? I forgot on two nails and I filed them down but I just want to make sure that was ok and I did it the right way. Thanks

    Personally don't recomend this had perfectly healthy nails and tried this it has taken over a month for my nails to recover they got so dry even after using oil on them they pealed off everyone of them the chemicals are terrible. Not saying brand but its been shown all over add a dot and press form on it's not that easy. Chemicals are not listed on product that I believe comes from China promoted as natural and removable in 5min.

    At the 7:09 mark, you say, "This is what the nail should look like after it has been cured. As you can see, the sidewalls are clean, and the cuticle area is neat." Except in that shot, you can very clearly see the polygel has cured (very cleanly, but it's still there) onto the cuticle. And then in the next shot at 7:12, you show how it should look after filing, shaping, and applying top coat. I so wish you had shown how you cleaned this up as perfectly as you did, because that is where I am currently struggling. I have an e-file gettng delivered today that I think should help, but for the sake of learning, can you share how you so *perfectly* cleaned up the cured spillage? It really is lovely; you've done an amazing job.

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial 22 дня назад

      Thank you for watching! The shot at 7:12 shows the polygel fresh off the dual form, without any filing or shaping yet. • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial Месяц назад

      It depends. If you are purchasing from the UK, the kit includes the slip solution. If you are outside the UK, you need to buy the non-UK set, which does not contain the slip solution. However, you can use alternatives like 70% isopropyl alcohol. glowtips.co.uk/products/glowtips-poly-nail-gel-extension-starter-kit-without-slip-solution

    Thank you for this very informative video!! When you mean cure it for both sides, do you mean flipping the nail so the under part gets cured for 60 sec too?!

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial Месяц назад

      Yes, you can cure both sides by flipping the nail. We usually recommend this to beginners, as they might apply too much product and may not be sure how to check if it's fully cured. If you're just starting your polygel journey, curing both sides ensures thorough curing. Once you gain some experience and know how much polygel to apply to each nail and the appropriate curing time, you can cure just the front side since you'll have a better sense of the correct product amount. Hope this clarifies your question :)

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial Месяц назад

      Do you mean wiping the tacky layer of the polygel? You can also use the slip solution included in the kit, a nail cleanser containing alcohol, or 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not use acetone. Gently wiping the nails is sufficient to remove the tacky layer. Hope this helps :)

    So glad i found this. What I had been doing wrong was not waiting for the slip solution to evaporate before placing the gel/nail mold on my actual nail (every attempy the gel just peeled right off my nail bed). The other thing i didnt realize was placeing the nail 3/4 on and THEN sliding it up to the cuticle 😅 i keep being left with extra exceess pushed out the sides lol. And last very helpful tip ill be using is making the sides thin and ghe middle thicker. Thanks for doing this video for us

    What kind of alcohol do I need to wipe off the sticky layer from the polygel? I bought some polygel myself and it has a tacky surface even after I cured it 3 times, I also use rubbing alcohol instead of slip solution as I do not have any, what should I use to wipe off the tacky layer? 🤗

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial Месяц назад

      Hi, you could use your slip solution to wipe it off too. Slip solution has alcohol content in it, so after you cure your polygel then dap your slip solution with a lint free cotton to gently wipe off the tacky layer. Hope this helps :)

    One thing I would like to know is: once the polygel solution is used, should it be thrown away or can it be reused ?

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial 2 месяца назад

      Great question! Once the polygel solution is used on the gel, it should evaporate by air. If you have any leftover solution that’s clean and free from debris, you can pour it back into the slip solution bottle and reuse it. Just ensure your brush is clean before and after use. If there's polygel stuck to your brush, dip it in the solution and use a paper towel or lint-free wipe to remove the leftover gel. I hope I answered your question :)

    I just did a set for the first time yesterday and I applied it as thin as she did and all my tips starting snapping off the next day how do you avoid this without making the nail too thick ?

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial 2 месяца назад

      Hi, we're here to help. Could you let us know if you are using dual forms to create the extensions? If they snap off, it might be due to using too little product. Are you making your nails longer than shown in the video? Longer nails require more product to hold the extension properly. As this is your first time, it's normal for it not to be perfect. Don't worry! Keep practicing until you find the right amount of product for your desired length. We've created another video for beginners that might be helpful: ruclips.net/video/sKoO5gRhtQU/видео.html

    • @Truckerbabe89
      @Truckerbabe89 2 месяца назад

      @@glowtipsofficial yes dual forms , and no actually a little shorter than this , I can't seem to get the amount right on the apex in one application I'm having to go back and add extra to the nail after the form comes offb

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial Месяц назад

      @@Truckerbabe89 Don't be discouraged! It's perfectly fine to go back and add a little more product to your nail. Nail technicians do this all the time, so don't worry if you need to revisit your nail to add more product. Keep trying and add a little more gel each time on the dual form until you find the sweet spot of product used. The goal is to get enough product on your nail to ensure it lasts for 2-3 weeks. Getting the perfect amount of polygel the first time isn't the priority right now; with more practice, you'll get there eventually. Keep trying! 💪

    Hi the base coat i use doesn't keep the nails for too long can you add nail glue

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial 2 месяца назад

      Hi, it's not recommended to use nail glue instead of a base coat before applying polygel. Nail glue is designed for adhering nail tips and isn't formulated to bond with polygel effectively. A proper base coat ensures better adhesion, prevents lifting, and protects your natural nails. Using the correct base coat will give you the best results and longevity for your polygel nails. If your current base coat is not good enough, try the same brand polygel base coat. This is because products from the same brand are formulated to work well together. Hope this helps

    Very helpful video. When I put mine nail in the heating lamp it was a burning felling is that normal. .

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial 2 месяца назад

      Thank you, I am glad that you find this video helpful. The burning sensation you feel when curing polygel under a nail lamp is likely due to the rapid polymerization process. When the UV or LED light hits the polygel, it triggers a chemical reaction that generates heat, known as an exothermic reaction. If you use our brand polygel and our nail lamp, you won't experience this burning sensation because we thoroughly tested our products together before production. If you are using a different brand, try using the low-power mode on your nail lamp. It will take longer to dry, but at least for the first 30 seconds cure until the polygel it's cured, then switch to the normal mode to continue curing. This process is called gradual curing. I hope this answers your question :)

    • @glowtipsofficial
      @glowtipsofficial 2 месяца назад

      I forgot to answer your question. Yes, it's normal for this to happen with gel products, including builder gel. It depends on the ingredients used by the manufacturer. The heat spike you feel is according to that.
