I feel what a lot of people miss during these watches was that Marty’s trip to the past was completely accidental. He never intended to travel through time. He was just attempting to escape the terrorists. His main goal was to get back home. And to save Doc in the process.

if people would look at the world through his eyes and see no black or white , rich or poor , smart or unintelligent we might actually advance as a species .until then we get to live in this cesspool of greed , narcissism , corruption and hate. the downfall of our time is rapidly approaching , we are on the downhill side of the mountain . if you read your history it has happened before .all the great civilizations came to an end. Why?. see the 4 reasons listed above but for us now add in nuclear weapons , biological weapons. social media will be our downfall. everybody thinking they are special or deserve special attention , inventing alternative facts like more than 2 sexes , men can put on a dress and make-up and be called a woman (b.s. your just a dude in a dress in need of mental help) . people are too afraid these days to call a spade a spade. being called out on social media by the 1% ers and thats all they are 1 percent of the population wanting to be seen as special by normalizing abnormal activity. we as 99% should be yelling even louder and together that we wont put up with it. you may jump to the conclusion that the first part of my post is in direct conflict with the second part. but in truth the first part is based on facts the second part is negating scientific facts for peoples opinions. we are heading the way of the roman empire with a lot of similarities.

Omaha beach was the worst of the three Normandy beaches. Utah American was somewhat unopposed until they got inland. Tne British beaches were more lightly defended but the germans had huge amounts of tanks in their sector and the British fought hard for every yard after they got off the beaches. Omaha or "bloody Omaha" went on like the beginning for almost 10 hours before they got offf the beach.

War hits men with emotional cruelty in a manner which can cause them to freeze. This DI is helping them learn to function even when they want to run away or stand in fear. The chanting when they run forces the trainees to breathe properly.

Idk if it has been mentioned but Desmond Doss was also known as Ghost by the Japanese. On several pccassions snipers would attsmpt to shoot him but thsir guns jammed each time. They would shoot at another and it would work just fine. They would then shoot at Desmomd again only for it to keep jamming. They would take the guns apart to check them but nothing would be wrong. Eventually the snipers assumed he was being spared by the Gods and stopped ahooting at him That is a blessing from God if there ever was one

I so highly commend you for researching and showing Robert Shaw's entire speech on the USS INDIANAPOLIS. It honors those men lost and the suffering of the survivors. Thank you for that. And just like Capt. Ahab in Moby Dick, that story was the driving force behind Quint's obsession with the shark. Thank you for the great reaction.

I still find it hilarious everyone comments on "the knot" what people don't realize is Desmond actually tied the full knot it's full bowline I use it every day the half knot is the most common but less strong and stable for lowering objects like a tree branch which I use it for or a human the full knot distributes the load over 2 binds (2 loops) instead of 1 for the half knot.

Territoriality-belief that a rogue shark stakes claim at a certain body of water and stays there was a theory that was later disproven. I don't know whether it has been disproven before/during or after Jaws was released. When there is a kill or dead prey is found, scientists have found that the largest shark(s) feed first.

Once in Vietnam, the Hue fighting was part of the Tet Offensive. A major Viet Cong offensive, that while it broke the Viet Cong's fighting ability, it caused sympathy against the war back in the US to reach a breaking point. Joker saying he wanted to be the first kid on his block to get a confirmed kill was pure sarcasm at the time.

R Lee was told by the director to take some time and write down his best lines from his career as a DI. He did so, and they had him perform the entire suite of hits. The best of them were used in this movie. I was Army. When our bus entered Ft. Benning and we approached the company area after midnight, it stopped. The door opened. A handful of smokey bears boarded the bus and spaced themselves along the aisle from back to front. Silence. Silence. The bus slowly rolled to our new "home" and all hell broke loose. It brings a tear to my eye.
