the amp you are using has an exceptionally high input impedance, your issue is not likely to be present for the vast majority of cases
with all the $$$$ you have invested in audio/video gear plus all the knowledge you claim to have, I have to ask WHY did you purchase this receiver? Also, why did you buy a used unit from Amazon without doing your homework on the receiver? Oh that is right, you all ready knew all there is about audio/video gear yet you purchased it anyway. Your just pissed because you screwed up making the purchase without doing the research beforehand. Of course, there is usually a reason why the previous owner returned it.

Wow thank you. Can tell just by weight they don’t build them like they use to. I tried the Denon and it weighed half and at 70 it overheated and shut down. My old hdmi non arc Yamaha with 400 watts rocks.

You said apartment? How much power do you need in an apartment? I have this with polk speakers and two subs. Its plenty loud enough to get you kicked out of an apartment. Now a large home theatre room in a house that has been treated, no, of course it is underpowered. This shouldn't even be on your radar for that. If you are running seperate amps don't they make pre amps for that? This is a Best Buy product and I beleive the cheapest option in this line up. I'm very happy with mine. Its better than the denon I replaced it with. I got a demo model so I didn't pay full price either. I at least got the remote lol.

I scored this one yesterday for $650, the listing said open box motherboard only, no accessories, not only did it have overnight shipping (I paid for 2 day) but it came with ALL accessories. still has all its protective plastic on it too, I think it might be brand new and someone screwed up.
That's still alot of money for a motherboard though

I know I’m late to the party here, but thanks for this! I’d read other complaints about the pre-outs, and this is the one feature I’m looking for without breaking the bank (the 2-channel amp for music is more important to me). The new Denon X1800H has pre-outs but no trigger out. Way to cut corners there, Denon…

This motherboard does not even have Thunderbolt 4 ports and only WiFi 6E. This motherboard is only worth $499.
AMD isn't Thunderbolt 4 Certified. Plus 20Gbps isnt really a issue atm, There isnt even a Gen 5.0 drive pushing close to 20,000 MB/s yet. Its still a overpriced Board. Checklist for buying a new motherboard. Buy the Cheapest verson of the Best Chipset with 2.5GB Enternet.

Nice little review! I just picked one up. Something I'd probably recommend for us headphone listeners is not having a mint or gum in your mouth lol. Got a lot of HD mouth noises going on but otherwise a good peak at this device. Thanks!

Yamaha are overrated receivers. I bought RXV6A with 100 Watts per channel 7.2 but when I sent setup this receiver it was garbage. My older pioneer VSX 933 blow RXV6A into kingdom I don't how other vloggers are giving this receiver good ratings. I returned it immediately.
I've got the RX-V6A and I'm happy with it!🤷♂️ Just because you don't like a product doesn't make it garbage. The vloggers call it as they see it... well, as they hear it.🤷♂️ You can't expect them to set your preference as a standard for the world, for the simple reason... it isn't. 🤷♂️ They do reviews after spending quite some time with the product so they can deliver an indepth and well informed review, not in two days, like you did before returning the Receiver.🤓 The unit probably wasn't even broken in by then.🤷♂️ Thus they are well within their rights to give good reviews and ratings where it's due.🤷♂️ Onkyo is the closest I've had to Pioneer, but I shall NEVER buy an Onkyo again!!! Neither would I buy Pioneer for that matter. I respect your decision to return a product that doesn't suit you👈😀, but don't make it a collective emotion.🤓 As for 100 watts, a RUclips Channel: *Divine AV Home Theater* measured the unit to an output of 143 watts into 8ohm with two channels driven.🤷♂️🤓 But like they say, another man's 'trash' is another man's 'treasure'.🤷♂️

Did you even did your research on the V6A. Because it's a 2 channel 100 watt reciever. So the more speakers the less watts per speaker you get. The V6A is not a reciever from the aventage line like the A.A receivers are. So what you write about 100 Watts per channel is not true. It's a 2 channel amplifier with 100 Watts a channel. And the more speakers the less Watts per speaker you get.
I have yamaha rx-v6a. I power front towers polk audio signature elite es55 in bi-amp mode. To much power for my room. In stereo mode all is ok. In 5.1 mode all is ok too. No problem. You need good speakers with high effectivity if you use avr. It's not stereo amp. Preout working if you need more juice on front, so there will be more power for other speakers if whant use preout and good amp. But like you said u like listen loud very loud, speakers can be heavy too.

Yamaha surround receivers never seem to have the power or warm sound of a Denon, Marantz, or Onkyo. But they are usually more reliable The company struggled in the 1970s to get the "100 watt per channel" rating that consumers wanted to hear. One trick they used was rating wattage at 6 ohms instead of the nominal 8 ohms, so that the wattage output seemed higher. However, Yamaha receivers always have a lot of functionality and many dsp modes, while Denon and especially Marantz seem to care more about good sound.

Your doing so many bad things, remove immediatly all that extension crap in pc. It will, i say again it will burst in flames, yes now it looks fine, other people who had same as you also had working fine untill house burned. Do not do any extension or add cable mods etc. Wire you see provided is correct one in msi to withstand fast spikes and more than full load. They look different cause they are different inside and must be protected different and must be way thicker inside. What you miss was one more 600w cable thats same you look at first look closer. That one was for amd video card the xtx which is also can draw 600w moded easy and reach perf similar to 4090. Xtx should had 600w conector also so now it should use this msi wire. Now do not bend those 600w wires much, it must not bend hard like 8 pins could, if you bend you stress copper inside, msi already made first bend dont do evwn more. Wires should have come in circle way as roll

There is no special power cable for an amd video card vs an nvidia video card is just one of your babbling things you mention. And my head hurt trying to read what you wrote.

The more unnecessaries they cram into an AVR chassis the more the sound quality is likely to diminish. Rather features, channels and functionalities if one is looking for a quality sound, one would be wise to choose an AVR for its components. Otherwise when the movie sound Dynamics change one might find themselves reaching for the remote control yet again. Entertaining video and BTW Love your cable management
My marantz 8015 receiver has been a great performer. Rather on the expensive side but worth every penny.
Gotta be some of the worst cable management I have ever seen. How this hasnt caught fire is beyond me. Rather than moan about this unit... buy some damn cable ties
@nickthegeek900 why would he waste time doing cable management when I wasn't even sure if I was keeping the receiver. I ended up going with a marqntz 8015 and it's all nice and neat which you will see when I do a review of a UST projector and 120" alr screen I'm setting up.
That's why they've got "Direct/Pure Audio/Pure Direct" etc. So you can bypass all those modes and listen to pure music.🤷♂️

Now it cost here 1899 €. Still not change it. Old on is Odyssey 49". Issue is horizontal lower resolution than 49". Prefer pay over 2000 € for Odyssey 49.
why is that so expensive compare to a regulat motherboard
Has alot of features I'll probably never use but they are there just in case. GODLIKE boards have always been expensive. I'm actually in the process of returning the board as it is loaded with issues. Mainly the raid controller keeps dying. I'll be doing a follow up video of all the issues.

@smackm5724 just don't do buy it. The amd raid never works right. I went ahead and set all drives to achi mode and installed windows and it worked fine with no corruption but still have intermittent blue-screen and when gaming the games just randomly close. I went back to my old 10900k rig and moved my 4090 back to it. I got an rma to return the board and sent it back along with the cpu. Last time I ever buy anything MSI. At the moment I don't have the time to do an in depth follow up until at least another month with the project I'm working on.

Hey man! Just watched the Yamaha A2A video. Great video. I was looking at that beast only because it has front channel pre outs. Did they ever issue a bug fix for the low level/gain output on those pre outs?
They did not and they never had a fix for the hdmi bug. I got rid of it and got a marantz 8015.

For me no. If you don't already have a nice monitor then 1600 is better then 3500. They have already lowered the price everywhere to 2k.

Neo g9 is 2 2.5k monitor in a single factor . So 240 hz is ok . This monitor is 4k 165hz . So for your use u shld buy neog9 2023. 2 4k 240 .
