This channel answers the question you never thought needed answering. It also scratches an itch. And it concerns the best TV show in town: the Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2003, the Latvian Song Contest introduced something new to the famous scoring sequence that takes up (usually) the last third of the Eurovision Song Contest: a reactive scoreboard.
What follows on this channel is an edit of each contest since 1980 with a new scoreboard, that’s reactive: The reorder board. Whilst shedding new light on the tight (and not so tight) races for the prize, I’ll be trying to keep the essence of each evening. I may be using newer technology but the design will try to be sympathetic to the design of the time - the video descriptions will explain more.
This goes to everyone waiting for the contest to return. 2020 is another page in our history, and afterall, What’s Another Year?

This is a presentation of all the points and rankings from the 2024 Eurovision Grand Final from Malmö.
Thank you again to Danielle Kelly for her code in R which did an efficient pull of all the data from the eurovision.tv website.
The backing music is lifted from the actual broadcasts, via @KubasEurovision - the music was composed by Eirik Røland, Johan Nilsson, SVT, EBU (all rights to them). I also used the 2022 Turin voting music: All rights belong to: Maurizio Filardo, Rai, EBU.
EBU Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl may well have been relieved that HMS Eurovision was docking into his native Sweden (Österdahl was Executive Producer for 2013 and 2016) after the tumult of the shared pro...
