I lean towards him being bisexual but given his traumatic nature he can't express it in any natural way you gotta realize that he meets Kaworu and assaults Asuka when he's the most desperate for affection, whether or not Shinji held any feelings for Asuka can be called into question but during my watch of NGE, to me Shinji was at rock buttom and Kaworu came in clutch, granted I'm not Kaworu's biggest fan but he gave off "I'm cool with you regardless of what" sort of vibe did he love Shinji? did he manipulate Shinji? why can't it be both? the thing about NGE ships is that none (sans Toji and Hikari) are healthy in the long run for Shinji or anyone else, not too long ago I saw a post on EVA memes (yes, I know) that detailed an issue with Kaworu; he's too enablistic (wheras Asuka is too assertive IMO and Rei and Misato are Rei and Misato) neither of which are healthy in a young teen relationship NGE is a show filled with tragic characters, many of whom would end up in prison or dead even if SEELE's plan wouldn't have come into effect, these people hurt and use each other or don't even make an attempt to understand each other (which is a major theme) Shinji, unlike his adult father who's quite influencial, is noone, he's a kid that like his father walls himself off from others, could Kaworu have helped him crawl out of his shell? there's no telling but I would say no, to me Kaworu was too content with his death that aside, since Kaworu is Adam... does that make it the ultimate daddy kink?

You know... Asuka's struggles are way too personal for me. One of my biggest crushes and eventually partner in life was a girl just like her. Shielded herself from others, was absolutely toxic, and just a small pint of affection was enough to launch her on explosive and unpredictable behavior. But then, just sometimes, vulnerability escaped through her and she let me know how much she appreciated me. I came to realise she was deeply in love with me as well only after we split apart, after high school, and that was the way she used to show it: by showing me what was going on inside her. She had a terrible family, being school mates, I had the chance of seeing them myself. Every time I think I would help Asuka and just try to show her how much I "look at her", I remember this girl and think "Oh yeah... I have tried that before." Loving her has scarred me for life.

Call me sadistic, but i like that mindrape scene. It is the most brutal dissection of a narcissist that I've ever seen anywhere else. (I had an asuka character in my life or rather unfortunately, still have. and to be specific, someone that should've been a parental figure...) I get that Asuka should be pitied, but when someone makes your life miserable just because they hate themselves...it's really hard to have empathy for them. :/

He is most likely Bi for showing some interest on Asuka and blush seeing more of her skin, I don't realy care if shinji is bi I love him and sympathize with him whether he is into both or not

It definitely scarred me when i was like 12 and gave me nightmares for a couple days but i was morbidly interested in it so that's why i kept watching and watched all the way through, then got curious at why the ending was so weird and grand and the portal was cool, the cosmic horror aspect is done WAY too good for anyone that's not an adult though. I only got through the nightmares because i reasoned that it was just a video, but not everyone comes to that conclusion right away. So it is Good and as it should be to take it down. It wasn't a restricted video anyways like it should've been.

You can't regain lost innocence after watching purposeful dark content, but the introspection it may bring can cause you to value innocence and expand your overall world views. I'm not for outright censorship, but parents knowing their kids' personal maturity and appropriately release access to deeper or darker content.

The song itself is quite chill and casual for French electronic music, but the music video alluded to puberty and the loss of innocence. The thing in the girl's shorts is based on menstruation, and the fact teenagers do wild shit is quite normal and common. The eltrich abomination at the end represents the horrors of childbirth. Sure, the video was initally deleted for ad-friendly sake, but I'm sure reuploads of it exist on this same platform; the comments section of which either discuss how Dye Fantasy traumatized them as a kid, or explain the video's message in-depth. Disturbing and nightmare-inducing music videos have existed for decades now. The one that started it all imo was Michael Jackson's Thriller(both influential due to it proving that music videos can be done as an art-form, furthermore breaking down and demolishing racial barriers at the time, and MJ becoming the so-called 'King of Pop' we know today, and it has plenty of terrifying moments, from MJ's transformation into a werecat during the 1950s setting, to MJ Zombie and the living dead terrorizing his nameless girlfriend), Canadian industrial artist Skinny Puppy garnered controversy from the PRMC by the second single from their 1989 album Rabies, titled 'Worlock' because it's music video included gory scenes(many were squick-inducing) from horror/giallo movies(resulting with the uncut 'X rated' version being aired rarely on MTV because fucking Tipper Gore, no pun intended), and so on.
