I've had mine 2 years after the first two months of absolute sham of the company I was going to give up on it..the two so called technical dept do not exist..they are a company that sells Belief Heaters..they DO NOT produce their own heaters and have no technical skills what's so ever..it's a scam company in many ways...they have very little customer support and if you have issues good luck with them..I wouldn't buy another one if you paid me.. Wait until you have issues with the fans. 😢 I fitted mine under the bench seat under their say so ..bad news!! 😒 And so many complaints for being so loud at night on camping sites it's unbelievable. Wish I'd bought an lpg truma instead.

This is an excellent set up. 1 Question, what would it take to take the battery out of say an old nissan leaf and us that as a habitation battery? Because if you had a motorhome garage area you could put it in that?

Why compress the battery if you then proceed to connect them with flexible leads instead of rigid bars?

It is a great test. However, when you tested the serial connection, you should've shaded another panel too, because it matters which panel is connected to the battery.

Never store fully charged or fully discharged cells for several months without use. This causes offgassing inside and increases internal pressure, which leads to swelling. Always store cells charged between 40% and 70% and check the voltage every 3 months. Slightly compress them and cycle them by charging and discharging them several times, this will reduce the swelling. If you want really to know if cells are degraded or damaged, test internal resistance instead of measuring gap between stacked cells. In most cases if cell degraded to the point it is useless it develops internal current leak which discharges cell while it is stored.

Did you get 1% increments? My sender looks very similar but that was only 245mm and I get about 9% increments. 9%-18%-27%-36% etc

These lifepo4 cells shouldn’t be charged to 100% or drained to 0% either. Not if you want them to last more than a year! They should only be charged to 80% and discharged to 20%.
