In today's episode, the ZJ drives out of the garage for the first time in months. We've still got a lot of things to finish up. But it's able to move under it's own power which is huge!

We sold our Jeep Comanche. So that means, we are finally getting started on our 5.9L Jeep ZJ build. We're throwing all of the necessary parts at it to make it an ultimate Jeep ZJ. We want to take it on some of the hardest off-road trails, while also being comfortable driving it around town. Alas, the days with the Comanche are coming to an end. While getting the last few things buttoned up on the truck to get it ready to sell, Connor makes a pretty unfortunate mistake. Social Medias: Instagram: connortrent cboffroad Facebook: cboffroad

We head north for our annual Cabin Fever trip. However, we're going to have to find a new name for the trip as we keep renting cabins for it lol. We landed in Hersey, MI to do some two-tracking, and then headed to Rocks and Valleys Off-road park. This could be the last time the Comanche sees Michigan, so we had to make it count! What Have They Gotten Us Into?! Hog Canyon W/ @MattsOffRoadRecovery & @FabRats
Просмотров 4,8 тыс.Год назад
On our trip to Sand Hollow, we told Matt and Paul that we wanted to run the infamous Hog Canyon trail. This trail is where they did one of their most famous recoveries, and where many rigs have found themselves on their roof. So, we were definitely intimidated about what we were getting ourselves into. But when you're with two off-road recovery experts, they know how to get you through the trai...

The first annual unibody ride of destruction takes place on cliffhanger trail. We live by this one rule, there are no rules. We take hard lines, drive without frames, and drink all the Mountain Dew (or Dr.Pepper) in sight.

Winter Wheeling In Michigan With My Jeep Comanche!
Hell Yeah Bro, I love my ZJ, Great Off-road Rig IMO
If you used the stock spring perches then they sit roughly 1-1.5inches taller compared to axle center then the stock Dana 30. That could be be part of the reason it sits taller then expected
Major props finding a girl who’s just excited about a ZJ as you are! Very nice build, you gained a follower👌🏼
What coil springs did you choose? I saw sky jacker what lift size?
I literally just got a 5.2 ZJ with a puck lift and that's sweet, mine was $1200 I want 3.21 axles I think
@@tycollins-cl3ir awesome man!
Looking good Connor 🔥
Thanks guys! Can't wait to add some gold accents to match those wheels.
😎
😎
Man if it was me, I would have probably just trimmed up the rear bumper and pushed the axle back more… that being said with you lowering it down some more that probably would have taken quite a bit. Looks great!
@@TxHylyner rear axle is pushed back around 3” 👍🏼
Check out IRO's springs, 5.5" ZJ springs are closer to what your probably want. The stock pitman arm would probably give you the adjustment you need for the drag-link.
First, I forgot that you were in North Carolina and I am glad that youall are good and safe. Second, Hand slap to the head for the washer debacle, You learn by doing and from others. Third, the ONLY stupid question is the unasked question. Forth, after you pulled it out it was looking REALLY good BUT there is a noise ordinance in your area......
Great job of troubleshooting Conner!!
We need another video!
Look how they massacred my boy.
There's trucks are just so Badass. I love the look of these trucks.
That's a good looking MJ.
Awesome work, I love that front bumper! I have an identical 5.9 that I just installed a Core 4x4 Long Arm kit on. Talk about brutal in the driveway with this 105* weather in Texas.
Are you going to run JK drag link? I'm at the same spot with my build. Obviously the JL drag link is too long... the JK drag link is shorter...short enough?
Subscribed I'm in the middle of a JT axle swap in my xj. DIY long arms with Clayton cross member and next venture truss and gusset kit for the front
The bumper looks sickkkkkkm👍
Not a big fan of radius arms but to each their own...
@@danhambrick6331 they will travel far further than my shocks or driveshaft will allow. Plus, they’re easy to install 👍🏼
tube bumpers rule!!!!!! looking great, makes me want a ZJ. this is how i would build one. the best thing is its all Jeep, no LS swap👍
That’s the goal! I want it to be modified but still be a piece of Jeep history. Not just a Jeep cab 👍🏼
Great to see you getting lots of the harder work done to the ZJ.
More to come!
I've been looking for a front bumper for my 5.9, and this is the only decent one I've come across 😂.
His bumpers are awesome! Check out his website: www.dtillfabworks.com
Keep it up bro love this zj episodes I have 2 of my own and there Amazing rigs . Thanks for the content
Looking forward to seeing more.
Nice looking truck. Do you recall what you paid for the 44 and 8.8?
@@benjaminreinhardt259 I think roughly $2600, it was a steal!
I love my 5.9 almost 290k and been in the family since 2000. It's a great Jeep.
Collab???
I axle swapped my ZJ in the carport, so I feel ur pain havin to move stuff to put other stuff In its place🥴😆. She's coming along tho, can't wait to see the build come together!💪✊️
That's rough, but I'm sure it was worth it!
Pretty awesome you were able to drive the Banana! Cool build, thanks for sharing!
Great to see you working on the ZJ. Must have been a TON of fun with Matt and the crew.
What frame stiffeners are you using?
@@reynaldoarmentabravo4218 they are from affordable off-road 👍🏼
Hey noticed you looking at the headlight switch as if it was not working properly fyi i have fixed a few of them if you remove the switch module and pull the rear cover off with a few screws you will see a few soldering places will be cracked touch up the soldering and you save over 200$
Have a 98 Black & Gold Jeep Grand Cherokee selling for parts. Brand new transfer case.
I just dropped my 9er off at a shop. Needs a but load of work I hate to let someone else touch it but my landlord finally had enough of me tearing it apart in the driveway
i got a white niner, LOVE IT
Sad to see the MJ go but looking forward for the ZJ build...
Same here!
Best wishes for the MJ at its new home. Great to see you back at it again Conner.
Glad to be back at it!
🎻🪕
Loved the MJ, but as a ZJ owner I'm excited to see this ZJ come to life! #ZJmafia🤠🤘
I think it’s gonna be awesome! 👍🏼
As an mj owner this saddens me.
It wasn’t an easy thing to do!
@@cb.offroad I say this yet my MJ truggy is up for sale.
@@csabin312 we all suffer from the same sickness lol
ZJ gang🤘. Interested to see what you do with the build. Liked and subd🤙
Glory to God. Thank you for Shouting out Jesus. 🙏🏼 prayers for Mom
Where did you find parts?
What did the t-case run you?
Depending on where you are you can get these kind of things made in house at auto glass shops, not like technaglass but a real custom auto glass place. Out here in north Utah we have Valley Glass, but take some pics and call around. I have the exact glass break in my old comanchee and they cut me a piece of tempered glass to match and installed it in less that two days for 200$
That broken window is a sign saying don't sell the MJ.....😁😁
I wish it were that simple 😂
Sorry to hear about the window brother. Looking forward to the ZJ build tho!
Thanks for the update Conner. I am sure you have already exhausted your contacts at work. I personally would not trust "Safelite" either. Check with some of your friends that off-road and see who they use as some of the smaller shops are REALLY good. Have you thought about just selling it the way it is with the new glass and seals?
