Still waiting for more zombie support, I think Zombie master and world needs a remake to actually make them a threat, they also need some GY targets that have decent effects when summoned from grave, right now it's only Crow Tengu and Omnikaru :(

I won't laugh at you BUT I must strongly disagree with you. Zombie World is a good check for the meta right now and I is a necessary evil if you ever hope to keep pace with the current metagame. You have to slow the tempo down to YOUR pace and ZW helps you accomplish that. Balerdroch DOES NOT need ZW to use any of its effects. ANY field spell will do. Your own hand traps and zombie effects will trigger Balerdroch. You don't have to run ZW in zombies if you don't want to. Whatever floats your boat or helps you sleep at night buddy.... I am a long time connoisseur of zombie cards in this game. Been playing it since Zombie Madness came out and it has always been the deck I was best suited for using. I love how it is not an "auto-pilot" style deck but rather quite technical and methodical while appearing simple and aggressive. Zombie Horde helped it evolve into a midrange style deck that if given the chance can combo off while maintaining tempo control to suit your needs. Combos are short and simple so you can do multiple in one turn depending on the contents of your hand and how your opponent wants to interact with you. Doomkaiser Dragon is my favorite card and I love the nature of its abilities. Yes, Zombie World does bring out the full power of my favorite card but since most of the mainstream ghost girl handtraps are zombies, it is almost always live when I do go into it in the later game should my opponent prove worthy of having something nice to yank out of their GY. I also love Red-Eyes Zombie Necro Dragon for it's similar effect while also being able to be a big beatstick too. Again, ZW also brings out REZND's full powers too. I have tuned my zombie deck for "necromancy" style play because it is what I most enjoy doing. Making friends out of enemies LOL. True zombie players need something to help level the playing field against the upper echelon of decks and Zombie World is it for the time being. It is the cold truth my guy however like I previously stated in the beginning, I will not laugh at you because entitled to your own opinion you are and it is a free planet. Enjoy your day my guy!

New zombie field spell just dropped, curious what you think of it

I gotta disgree just on the grounds that the zombie cards simply...suck. And Konami doesn't seem to want otherwise, not because Zombie World has ruined card design. Sure Mezuki was so good it was banned at a time but aside from that they've never been good or played too well together. The archetypes, Mayakashi, Shiranui, Vampire, all terrible but the Zombie Horde structure changed that, it was the most interesting thing to do with zombies at the time. Eldlich was definitely an interesting change of pace but it still could play Zombie World IF you want, which is cool imo. However, this was Konami's only attempt at a zombie archetype in like 7 years. Everything else has been random, debatable one-ofs for the zombie pile, they're not even trying. If we got something that was on the same level or better than what the Doomking/Zombie World combo could bring, I'm sure decks would be less reliant on it. I'd say random zombie locks on cards like bulb, mad mauler, etc., and making zombies so normal summon reliant has hindered the archetype more than anything Zombie world itself could do TLDR: If Konami prints an archetype better than DoomKing/Zombie World combo, ppl would look to that instead of ZW or at least be less reliant on it but Konami has no interest in ZOmbies good

I saw this when this came out, and yeah still true. Zombies feel so limited by zombie world the actual archetypes themselves kinda suck.

This vid is literally just a yap fest. L take my boy 😂 My counter is that zombies along with every other types/archetypes need MORE support and variety rather than mindlessly banning cards from the overpowered meta. Make them all "overpowered" and give players the variety of OPTIONS to express themselves and still be competitive and unique instead of having all the top players running the same decks In the famous words of syndrome. "when everyone's super no one will be."

Funny enough, the spell discard is actually meant to replace Armored XYZ. An alternative way to change/power up your monster that was somehow WORSE than Rank-Up Magics.

I was introduced to yugioh with Shiranui Zombie World. I still love the deck and I will continue to wish for more support for zombies in the upcoming future

I just want to say great video, and also put my 2 cents in(more of a vent now i've written it). My name is Rose and I'm a 19y/o trans girl. This excact behaviour from the community, the ways I've been treated by other players made me quit my locals earlier this year, in a format where I know I could've put up results on a national level! This sort of behaviour is even worse in the paper play community, at YCS Sydney this year I was called a slur in 3 of my rounds, a problem I didn't have last year (I bubbled both lol). It's dissapointing to see this hate everywhere in this space, and I hope that cures itself soon <3

However, that doesn't mean that I have had negative experiences from people are genuinely full of hate and malice towards strangers that literally have nothing to do with them and are harassed for simply existing. Utopia Ray Lancer is great for Sharks. You can use it to discard the Ice Barrier trap card, then use Ice Barrier to search Abyss Shark.
