We are going back to tradition, mass will be said like this
Amen
I’m a Protestant who’s looked into Catholicism but I’m not entirely convinced yet. That said I pray the rosary often unlike many other Protestants. I also deeply love my Catholic brothers and sisters. Christ is King
Keep digging and praying! Remain open and God will guide you through Our Lady
Amen! The Rosary is a powerful prayer for all Christians. Filled with scripture & miracles all centered on Jesus Christ

Just as Vatican II intended.
I’m a Protestant, who went to a Novus ordo service and nearly didn’t go back to a Catholic Church. Things happened along the way and I ended up going to Latin Mass at this Church. I felt like I was looking into Heaven. I felt what we Protestants like to say the Holy Spirit, but I felt the Holy Spirit in my heart and all around me. It felt ancient, it felt sacred. I felt at peace and I felt like I was at Home. I am now in the process of trying to Join the Catholic Church and God willing making this the parish I will belong to.
That's amazing! Thank you for your testimony. The traditional Mass is reviving the Church!
AMAZING WORK! thank you so much brother - let's continue to foster tradition and UNITY in the Church, always and only to lead us to Christ more fully in faith, hope, and love!
Amen

Heralds of The Gospel are a great group!
@@Altare_Dei I'm part of this group here in Brazil! The liturgy is very traditional!
When I first posted this video, I had a somewhat naive view of liturgy. Many of your comments have helped me see things from a more mature perspective. Thanks, and sorry if some of my replies were dismissive, uncharitable, mental gymnastics, or gaslighting. I was a Loftonite scared of criticizing the Novus Ordo because I thought it'd make me a radtrad, which is obviously not true. I recognize now that the TLM is an objectively better and more authentic liturgy. Nevertheless, the Novus Ordo is valid, Vatican II is valid, and Francis is Pope. Anyone denying these truths is excommunicated and will still be deleted.
Thank you for posting, I always have to educate people at my parish when they couldn't tell the difference between the Latin Mass. Right now, it's just the normal today's mass, but most of the mass parts that are chanted are in Latin. Still working on getting some of the prayers on the priest's part to be in Latin and partially in English. Purpose is so people don't forget that Latin was the language of the Catholic Church.
Awesome! God bless you
Thanks !
The fact that the NO can be celebrated in ways other than this, and that this is a rare exception, is why even this video screams “there’s a problem with the NO.”
I agree
Thank you!
This is what Pope Saint Paul VI wanted from the Novus Ordo. Pope Saint John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI worked together to bring this publicly. I wish that this was what it was from the start. I attend the Divine Liturgy of Pope Saint Gregory the Great, also known as the Traditional Latin Mass, or Tridentine Mass according to the 1962 Missal...and I was also a Novus Ordo alter server when I was younger. Make this version of the Novus Ordo more popular and stop the persecution of the Traditional Latin Liturgy. This will make the Church exponentially expand as it is with the youth going to the Traditional Liturgies.
Agreed!
Amen.
Btw the priest in this video is French from the ICKSP so that's why his Latin sounds a little funky 😂
@@Altare_Dei Ya but as a person who has an ICKSP place 40 min away I do not mind. Their mass is so beautiful and the Latin is solid. Plus they are a growing order and we have hand missals so we all can manage. Give me a TLM with a non English speaking then a slap happy, priest who makes the NO mass about him and his personally any day.
Good morning! Pleasure, Hail Mary Puríssima. I'm a Brazilian boy and I was delighted when you @Altare_Dei compared the Latin/Gregorian Mass, of the apostles, which was celebrated during the decades of the Rite of Semper of the 1962 Missal, to the Paul VI Novus Ordo Mass. If I'm going to be a priest, I'll only go if I'm going to celebrate the Novus Ordo Mass the way you posted here. I would sincerely like to talk to you about respecting the current crisis in the Church. (Note: I don't know how to read and converse in English, lol. But everything was translated even in the comments lol.)

Hi! I'm glad you liked my videos. The Church is certainly dealing with a crisis. Which aspect do you want to discuss? I'm happy to converse, although the language barrier may complicate things slightly.
@@Altare_Dei I would like to know that I should continue and deal with the crisis within the Church today, go to Paul VI's Mass knowing that it doesn't celebrate in the way I saw it here. But I try to find a mass that is well celebrated and respectful. I feel the call to religious life and priesthood. And I'm trying to enter into a spiritual direction with the priest in my city, he's conservative from what I see and hear. Sometimes I'm afraid of participating in today's mass, and people will discredit the validity of the priests...
@@ericllesjohn There's nothing wrong with attending the Novus Ordo, especially if that's your only option. As long as you're at a Catholic church with Catholic priests, it's valid. I'm so happy that you are accepting your vocation! I will pray for you
You can see there's a big difference between the new mass and traditional Mass

@@adalieze technically yes, but one is following the Missal of 1962 and the other is the Missal of 2002.
Hey, brother what are the types of catholicism? I'm looking into catholicism and i heard there are sspx, sedevacantists, eastern, and i wanted to know all.
Glad to hear you're looking into Catholicism! There are different rites and traditions within the Church. The main one is the Roman rite, aka the Latin rite. They are the main rite for the Western world like Western Europe and America. The Eastern rites are similar to the Orthodox but they're in full communion with Rome and the Pope, and they follow the traditions of whichever place they developed (Eastern Europe, Russia, Middle East, etc.). There's a lot of Eastern rites and I couldn't name them all but most of them follow a Byzantine tradition. The SSPX is a group that's not in communion with Rome, they're separated and they operate outside of the Pope's authority. They hold some dangerous views which are not Church teaching, like telling people that the Novus Ordo Mass is "evil", and if there's no Latin Mass in their area, to not go to Mass at all (a mortal sin). I would stay away from them. Sedevacantists are schismatics who believe that the office of the Pope is vacant, and that there is no Pope. They deny that Francis is the Pope, meaning they are all excommunicated. This usually comes with even more problematic beliefs but it depends on the person. Definitely stay away from them. Hope this helps
Also there was/is a WHOLE lot of local rites before the council of Trent. The reason I said was/is is because the old rites were distinguished and removed from use, but some rites are still used very occasionally
@@himlogicc True, Trent standardized the Roman rite as the main liturgical use
This not how the NO look like at the start - I was there - this made up !
This is what it looks like at St John Cantius Catholic Church, which was the point.
Several Byzantine priests I have spoken to have encouraged me to check out a Traditional Latin Mass and see the similarities, even though they are very different. Before the liturgy starts usually the church and the people are censed, I think that parallels the Asperges pretty well.
@@jasmineandrose123 good point
Rest assured things will return back to tradition. It will take time and the church at large will need to shrink more before any more changes would occur. My guess is we are going to see a Vatican 3 in our lifetime which will include sweeping liturgical changes.
My thoughts exactly. And we should distinguish between "shrinking" and "dying". The Church is already shrinking, but definitely not dying. If anything, she's getting stronger imo
This makes my point that people are CLUELESS about the fact that the Latin Mass WITHOUT THE TRUE CATHOLIC FAITH saves no-one! They are both offensive to God! I suppose a Methodist Church could put on a Latin “show” and you people would go regardless of what the Methodist church believes! Herein is the problem!
what
Both of these are really great. Notice how much more the NO involves the future of the church rather than the adults taking over everything.
what do you mean?
