I think hourglass actually should keep its spot. Yeah they can deactivate their item to counter it, but either way it forces them to either use it or lose it, and that’s also ignoring that a lot of items don’t really have use being activated in some situations, which is when you want to use it, like items that affect dice. I think B tier was fair.

I feel like guppy should have an item that levels up depending on how many items with the guppy tag you have

Super late to this one, but on the notion of character rankings, I think Baba is should rated alongside Eden in a special "variable" tier. Their strength depends on the characters the others at the table are playing, and whats currently in their hands. While you do functionally always have the best eternal item at the table at the start of your turn, it completely depends on the rest of the players to have usable abilities and such. tl;dr: Baba, while still being a bit less variable then Eden, I would argue makes the most sense to be rated alongside them in a special variable tier.

13:31 ok i just gotta say, i think ur wrong here. when you (normally) match 4 yellow tiles, you spend 1 move to gain 1 move. basically a net neutral (except for the fact that you got rid of 4 tiles on the board) since the needle uses 4 yellow mana, that normally useless mana becomes a free attack! and the fact that it increases in damage as you use it can be pretty clutch too. i once had a 6 damage needle lol

first time i player four souls i got eden and got missing no as my item. Turns out i just played a worse version of tainted eden

As someone who has the original Kickstarter Gold edition and the first expansion, what else do I need to order? Also, I really, really hope there is an update pack for all of the updated rules text on fhe cards.. I've been a fan of Edmund's since Newgrounds, and I love the game. We are getting ready to teach my oldest kid tonight for the New Year!

Here's my ranking for each new character since Summer of Isaac: Stacy - A; Really good when she pops off and fairly consistent otherwise, but the risk of losing all your counters from bad luck or other players' dice manipulation culls her from S Tier. Clubby - A; Great Control Character with his innate butter bean and cycling monsters. Gish - S; Still broken even after the errata since he can copy so many things, and his entire hand is a pile of soul hearts that he can play for free, AND he can dig through the monster deck easily if he gets a surplus of loot cards. Level One Isaac - B; Basically Eden with an Eternal Breakfast and a loot head start, not too shabby but kinda boring. Florian - A; He can get a lot of health with Game Squid, at the cost of risky attacks and/or having to give that health to other players as well. Kinda a somewhat more consistent version of Boyfriend. Bumbo the Stout - D; He's not entirely worthless, I won the first ever game I played as him even (though mostly from a pile of good dice manipulation items). He can pop off if you get a lot of loot from sources other than the start of turn loot... but unless you save some loot plays, you're going to be very often tossing away a hand of great loot cards, and it's rough. At the very least, no one else can use them unless they have a way to dig very deep into the loot discard, but it still sucks to basically be forced to Void your hand every turn and not even get a full hand back. Not to mention, you can't even use (most) of your starting hand! If he didn't have the extra loot play from his Eternal he would, in fact, be the worst character, and its his only saving grace. Having rapid hand cycling like he gets is at least better than a few other characters from Requiem and beforehand.

15:19 I'm a Bum-bo the Stout fan! Loot 2 at the start of the turn, and synergizes with loot, treasure, or monster cards that gives you extra loot. With the added benifit of being able to play up to 3 loot cards until your next turn. This character reduces the headache of debating whether or not to wait to use certain good loot cards, but instead encourages aggressive play of them. I see this character that forces me to play in a unique way that other players may not be prepared for.

hey im a lil late to the party so imma just say that the lil gish card just states that the next round the item wouldnt recharge. that means its not permanent

Blue Baby still might be one of the worse characters in the game. Sure there are a fair share of characters that are worse off, but Blue Baby just can't effect the playing field in any meaningful way whatsoever. Taking one 1 cent from another player is barely a threat or advantage. Looking at the top card of any deck is fine but most of that info won't matter by next turn, you aren't even able to change where it goes inside the deck after that. You just get one card worth of info that everyone will probably know by your next turn at the latest Discarding a lot card to gain another loot card is also just as underwhelming. Especially since there are other characters who are given a choice between cards there are two other characters' starting items that allow you you to loot in exchange for discarding, but Guppy and Lilith get to loot first, allowing them to build their hand more effectively then just hoping for a good card. And being able to recharge an eternal item upon taking damage is cool in concept, but in most cases, this will only be used once on your turn. Given a lot of monsters deal more than one damage and health up items are hard to come by.

I think there is a monster that gains HP depending on how many loot cards you have - that monster technically can survive 9 damage if you have enough loot cards

I think you should put Stacy in S tier, from my experience she’s been overpowered, haven’t lost a single game with her
