Some of the boundary conditions applied in this video, let me know if want some specific boundary conditions apart from video
Can you explain why we are defining both the liquid and the solid material for the PCM?
If only one phase is defined, the simulation may: Fail to converge due to undefined properties in the missing phase. Produce physically incorrect results, as the solver lacks the required data for the other phase. Defining both phases ensures the solver can handle these complexities and deliver accurate results.
@@FrontiersInCFD thank you for responding , one last thing I didn't get is why u set the PCM as liquid in the cell zone conditions when it's supposed to be solid at first?
I tried to do the same steps as you, I got unrealistic results. The liquid fraction wasn't increasing instead it varied with time . any idea what I did wrong?

I don't think this is the case, The continuity residuals was more than one for some reason and reached even higher numbers
Last thing I tried now is to turn off the gravity, and all of a sudden the Continue and the XYZ momentum aren't being solved and showin 0 residuals. But the contours are showing the right behavior also the Liquid fraction is increasing steadily like the video.

Suppose we don't have an inlet and outlet flow, what should be the changes made and where? And also given that we have a heat transfer coefficient what should we do?
In mesh no need to specify inlet and outlet and for heat transfer specify name selection as convection where it is required then in setup apply the convective heat transfer coefficient under that name
@FrontiersInCFD and how should I input the Heat Generation Rate? Given that I have a 1.5C discharge. I actually wanted to see the battery itself slowly gain temperature from ambient to like 338K or so!

In windows search box enter workbench.. if it is still not there it might not have been installled. Check windows is updated and then try installing again if above doesnt work
Excuse me,when I replicated your case, the liquid fraction rapidly increased from 0.05 to 1 at 70 seconds of calculation, which is why. However, the phase-change material temperature is much higher than 304K.Why?
Check with mesh size make it finer
@@FrontiersInCFD Excuse me,the improved mesh mass is 0.89, but similar problems still appear. When the calculation reaches 45s, the temperature of the phase change material rapidly rises to 1400K, and the liquid fraction rapidly rises from 0.005 to 1.0. I am very confused, why does the battery temperature of 304K cause the temperature of the phase change material to reach 1400K.
