    I think you need to take in account the PCM solid phase because you didn't take it. You have only enter the properties without using it, within the physical model.

      Yes you can select the regions from boundary conditions then while setting animation you will see more clearly which regions you have selected that time , need to ensure that along with the wall and other regions are selected and their materials are defined as per the required

      If you know cell dimension you can calculate volume of cell. Also if you know the voltage and dischrge current you can calculate heat ge eration per unit volume and heat flux also

      By default the temp set are 300 k if you want to change room tem other than 300 k then you need to change.

    None of your simulations have actually showed contours of solidification and melting. You should be more detailed in discussing results, if we can't see solidification and melting then there is no point of PCM simulation.

    Thanks for sharing. I have some questions, 1. Why don't you use volume average for reporting the result? 2. I've followed all the steps in video, got the similar result, but as I add new plane to see in to the cross section in interior of the cell, I found that there is only heat transfer on the surface, but in the interior zone, there is no heat transfer.

      Check if you have defined solid and fluid zone. As well as check for the contact region properly selected

    Its a good video, What is the differene between meshed wall and shell conduction with or without run_out methods? How to apply these methods in fluent? How to set O_grid mesh for copper tube?

      Shell conduction can be used to model thin sheets without the need to mesh the wall thickness in a preprocessor. Check in model setup O grid can be done in icem cfd

    In a similar situation where the mesh is used, and the battery cell is also covered with fluid on the top and bottom, should I add the battery cell sidewalls as part of the Cell Wall and proceed as shown in the video? Or, should I create an additional battery body and add a solid body to the geometry, not just the fluid body?

      You need data of temp vs flow time. And for given flow time how much battery has discharge that will generate this chart.
