Hi. Question. By my area I checked the geonet hex and it shows at occupied but wingbit it’s available on their website. So if I get the dual miner will I get max on both or just wingbit?

I have two macarons and I've had trouble with both. On my 2012 Volkswagen Passat it just one update and connect to my app. Support say that its an unresolved issue. On my 2018 Honda Odyssey it does now work however as regularly as I think it should. I suspect that I'm just not in Helium network area when it chooses to connect. So... I'm wondering if I should just give up or double down and get a Helium miner? and if I do whether it should be an indoor or outdoor?

Great video Justin. You should borrow a Kia EV9 and take a road trip with your family & kids; the experience will be night and day. Regardless it seems like ford did good with the Lightning truck bc all I've ever seen is happy happy Lightning EV customers.

The Tesla app will only tell the ones you can use. It takes out the ones that don’t work with your truck.

As a lightning owner you can only use version 3 Tesla superchargers. For etiquette you always go as far to the right on a supercharger. If you can get the one on the end you won’t take up 2 spots.

I've been with helium since 2021. All i see is scamming and sh$tty updates to make you loose money and push away you ROI . I remember my first bobcat300 used to make me 3000$ amonth in june 2021 but not anymore. So, in 2023 i learned a way of spoofing and here we go . Since then i have 4k+ of hnt tokens out of 80 hotspots. Scammers should be scammed

A lot of the issues encountered were user error. Between going to V2 chargers that you couldn't use, arriving at high SOC and routing, time was definitely wasted.

The first is a V2 Supercharger. You can tell it is a V2 (as opposed to a V3) by the silver ring on the bottom of the charging connector. These units are capable of 150kW charging, but only if you aren’t sharing with another stall. Every two V2 Supercharger pedestals can do 150kW, which can either all go to one car or be split between two cars. If you are sharing with another car, then the max speed you get will be determined by how much the first car is pulling. The second charger you showed (smaller) is an Urban Supercharger that can offer 72kW of charging power. These units do not power share, but 72kW is all you will get. I'm not sure if non Teslas can use them! For most Teslas, these pedestals can power the full 250kW your car can handle and don’t power share, so they are the best units to use compared to the Urban and V2 chargers. Remember, non Teslas cannot use V2 chargers.😊

90 mph, you will really cut into the battery range. Tesla owners are aware of the network being opened up to non Tesla vehicles, and all will work out. Everyone needs to play nice.

I think you were in Green River Utah not Colorado. I think your stop in beaver is incorrectly labeled as well. I think the beaver stop is in Utah as well. I recently went to Salt Lake City in my tesla and i was pretty surprised going from denver to slc on only 2 charges parachute co and green river utah. It was only 3 charges on the way back. Round trip i spent less than 100 dollars.

You can OVERRIDE the standard 80% charge limit by charging it to a one-time 100% charge on your vehicle screen.

Hi, Welcome to the EV movement. I can tell you're a newbie, but we all can learn together. Non Teslas can only use the V=version 3, 3+ and V4 chargers. You will find the Tesla network is much more reliable, and your Ford F-150 Lighting maximum charge rate is only 150 to 170 kws. Charging at a hotel is great when you can get one, when you have a large 141 kwh battery pack. 😊. Get a Tesla to J1772 adapter for Tesla level 2 chargers at a lot of hotels. It gets easier as you learn the networks. High speeds cut range as you found out.

Just started watching. Google say’s this is a 11 hours 2 minute trip. I would consider this a good road tripper if the lightning can do it in 14 hours. It takes me 13 hours in my Ford Explorer with 2 meal stops and 4 rest stops. Let’s see

The Ford nav software is old and outdated, and it doesn’t show the Tesla chargers. CarPlay and Android Auto can populate a route with chargers. It should ask you if you want to turn that on, but you can find it by sitting in the Lightning with the truck turned on. Start CarPlay. Then, on your phone, enable adding chargers through Apple Maps. CarPlay and Android Auto will only show Tesla chargers that will work with the adapter.

I ordered some bees in March last year. They keep moving the delivery dates; now it's Q1 2025 from Q3 2024. It feels so frustrating, but I'll give them the benefit of my doubts for now.

If you are going to DC fast charge don’t use the blue oval network. Get the tesla membership and the EA one. Also remember you are driving a brick and wind resistance over 65mp jumps up as it is exponentially more. Plug your nacs adapter into the truck first then the tesla cable. When removing push the button in the truck to stop charging then remove the Tesla cable from the nacs adapter then remove the adapter from the truck.

Couple notes- Definitely get a Tesla or EA membership and use the apps instead of plug & charge as it can save you a decent amount. Also as you found out, the Tesla Superchargers with the silver collars on the handle are the old 150kW V2 stations and not compatible. You can also use PlugShare to check locations and verify if anyone has charged recently. For destination chargers, you'll need a nacs-j1772 adapter which is different than the nacs-ccs adapter used for Superchargers. Note some may still be set to Tesla Only so ymmv. Regarding the 350kW EA stations, your truck will still benefit as those are 500 amps v 350 amps on the EA 150's. You should see 170-190kW (depending on SOC and outside/battery temp) during the initial boost period when using EA 350's or Tesla Superchargers (250kW). The dual on-board charger only impacts level 2 charging where the newer models are limited to 48 amp v 80 for the older extended ranges.

Not sure if you know that Lectron and A2Z are the only adapters that we know will meet th UL specs for j3400. Anything else besides the original Tesla adapter maybe dangerous. I have done some road trip from SLC to LA in both a Ioniq 5 and Sierra EV. Painless and easy. Everyone complains it takes too long but to be honest I was way less fatigued after the drive. Also the cost is about the same as ICE on a road trip but I figure the little bit of time it takes aI make it all up in $$$$ by charging at home at $0.05 kw. So many people disregard the savings. Yes, it can be more challanging today but as more DCFC go in it will become easier. Also in the winter it does use a bit more energy. But very doable. I like your video, and you made some great points on charging a bit more. As you get used to driving it you will be more confortable drive to a lower SOC, just concerned for you about the adapter as it did not look like the A2Z, Lectron or Tesla Adapter. (NOTE: You can get a Tesla to J1772 for L2 charging, if you didn't get one with the truck, was that Beaver UT?) I had a F-150 ecoboost and I would at best get 18mpg, not 20mpg. Unfortunately the F-150 Lightning is not a great road tripper but is do able.

I place the rovr on the front of my dashboard and it's working great ,try that first probably you won't need to place it on the outside.

Anyone buying ANYTHING coming from Helium Deploy or any "HELIUM" company don't do it. The projects they support are all scams , just move on, buy Bitcoin or just regular stocks and sit on them for 5 years .

It’s hilarious how this is sadly the story every time. Almost ordered some back in the summer that had a long delivery date and glad I didn’t. It’s the same gimmick. They purposely have large deliver windows to prevent charge backs and also not overload the system too fast
