Not sure which spot you mean. Theres fish everywhere, just depends on the tide, time of day etc. All spots produce.

Even big fish will rarely peel 150 meters of braid. Unless its a big king you are usually pretty good if you take your time.

@@GoldenHourFishing I just picked up a vanquish shallow for my bream set up. Contemplating getting a shallow spool for my flathead gear but worried a bycatch will spool me 😂

I prefer them. No need for backing. 150 yards of 0.6 and you are good to go. No fuss.

@@GoldenHourFishing Don't pay too much attention to the Dr. He's a Daiwa fanboy always trashing Shimano. I have 7 Vanquish's in the 19' and 23' versions and they're all smooth as silk.

Yeah the fanboyism is a bit weird. I favour Shimano but I own a Daiwa medium light setup and a Penn reel with a daiwa rod. The real winners are people that order all brands, because they get to experience all models and decide for themselves.

@@GoldenHourFishing I'm mostly a Shimano guy too but I also own quite a few Daiwa reels also. With rods however, I own several different brands.

I just meant that I have more water to work when the tide is at its highest. On the low tide the water is all the way back near the drop off, at the time of filming it was only a couple of hours after the low tide I believe.

Yes your chances of being snagged are hugely reduced. A lot of U.S bass anglers favour the rig for throwing into cover.

Yeah its cheaper than buying OEM, ill have to report back about the build quality in a year or so, if its still quiet and smooth then its worth the 20 bucks.
