    I’ve got an 08 650 H1 TRV, started seeing a little milky oil last month 🤦‍♂️ still has 100 psi compression so I’m thinking a water pump seal has failed. Anywho great video 👊🏻

    Nice workshop, nice job. I wonder how many miles off road those knobblies actually ran and was it worth it. Just bought a 1 year old 23 Grom. Lot of fun for a downsizing old man. There seems to be a lot of road vibration at the front of the bike. It's so new I suspect tyres. Lots of ppl talk about Michelins, have you got any thoughts on that.

    Hey, i have 2011 700, just wondering how bad is some play in the crank. I just picked up parts for top end, but not sure if its worth going all the way. Crank assembly is expensive.

    Where is the mark on the crankshaft? I looked in the timing window but there are no marks

    • @WallyLogue
      @WallyLogue Месяц назад

      You can’t see it from the window you gotta pull the top off of the motor. It’s on the camshaft itself just like in this video.

    this is a wicked video mate, couldn't really find much else about them, apparently it's really common for them to gunk up due to neglect (cheap bikes). ive currently got an '06 carby 250 gtr and it's struggling to start in the morning. starter and relay are good. would a full carby tear down and clean be the best place to start or should I replace the vacuum fuel pumps?

    I guess what I wanted to say is name brand scooters initial costs is hard for parents to swallow and they hate to spend that much money if their son or daughter are going to lose interest rather quickly. Since you are unable to sit on and look at the scooter in person that is something else that goes against purchase, because like I said they want you to sign on the line before they will order one for you. They say if they order one and you do not buy, they will be stuck with it. And there are cases of dealers having a three or four year old scooter that never got sold. Where I live you must be 16 have a car license and your scooter must be registered and be insured and pass an annual safety inspection which gets a sticker on the left front fork. Anything larger than a 50cc requires a motorcycle endorsement. Yes I understand exactly what you are saying but I think the thinking is I will go with a cheap scooter for their first one, and if they continue to show interest then I will buy him or her a better quality scooter. You just cannot find used name brand scooters everywhere unless they are popular in the first place. In areas of the US that does not require registration of a 50cc maybe you can. Laws vary state to state in the US. 50cc scooters are known as drunk cycles in states that do not require registration or insurance. If you get a DUI and lose your license, then you get a 50ccscooter to get to the bar or to work.

    Unless you live in an area where scooters are somewhat popular, you will not find used ones for sale. Where I live in the northeast of the US, you will for the most part be in Harley land. Seems you rarely see anything else on the roads around here. Name brand bike shops survive on ATV, side by side, and dirtbike sales and repair to survive. Yes, you occasionally see a dualsport on the road but that is it. Most major brand bike dealers do not stock scooters and will not order one unless you commit to purchase. So, if you do see a scooter on the road, you can almost bet a paycheck it will be Chinese.

    Awesome you did this. Fyi you can pull entire engine and transaxle as an assembly. Country cat has the service manuals for free on line. Page 30 is where it starts. You were not far off for winging it so be proud of that. These engines are very strong and easy to 350hp. This engine 2020 and later are all turbo ready. The sidewinder turbo sled uses the same exact engine. Pre 2020 the internals and head parts are different. Not sure why AC doesnt offer the turbo from the factory. They really messed up trying to mess over speed on some measly commisions. Imagine if AC still had speed involved and they didnt stop production during covid. That is a ceo that should never again be a ceo of any company.

      @cycleclinic 8 месяцев назад

      The issue I was having was the axles would not release and I figured they had to come apart anyway to swap the engine so without my crane setup I was limited. thanks for letting me know about the updated manual the one I got from AC was brutally vague and didn't have any real help inside, He has had good use of the unit since and I suspect we won't see any other engine issues for him.

    You crazy fuck lol you pull the entire rear cradle man the entire rear including engine and all pops right out, best built UTV available today. Textron needs to FIRE their city boys who were placed in charge at Arctic Cat, get some real life long riders with decades of experience, their machines would then get back ontop. Sad to see the beat maker go from the top to a joke

    I have a 2020 XX with this engine. I now have over 7,000mile but it is important to check oil always and change it around 600-700 miles because it will start consuming it when it gets dirty.

    • @cycleclinic
      @cycleclinic 11 месяцев назад

      Always check oil levels. This one was likely ready to go when this customer bought it as it only ran for about 9kms when it blew up after he got it
