Do you know if you can get the door handle plastic cover/shield thing new ?
I could find one.
God bless you! Made this easier on me. Finding these part numbers was a pain in the a$$, Thank you.
Thankyou very much for sharing this Angel...its been informative and helpful....could you please please do the rear glass for the fastback Barracuda at some stage...its on my to do list..Cheers mate
Well, now I know why I accidentally broke my glass.
Ancient wisdom. Subscribed!
Awesome video!!! It helped me a lot!
high quality rebuild video with part numbers.
thanks nice video i have a 71 swinger i have vent seals that came with the car i see i will plan to do do a door restoration. i need to do a rear window regulator aso it goes down crooked
That's a beauty. Wished I could get my 1990 phymouth horizon to look a third as good as her. It's been a 8 yr. Nightmare and still got a looog way to go. Tks for video
Not using the column because the plastic pins are broken is wrong. They were installed to help with assembly and prevent vibration. The column can't extend when it's installed. It's perfectly fine to use
My understanding is the plastic pins were made to break away with a head-on collision. There was a Mopar repair kit back in the day to fix the broken pins, but that was discontinued. Let's say you tried to replace the pins with a DIY pin and you were in a head-on collision, what if the pins didn't break and the shaft didn't collapse. The steering column shaft becomes a spear and you would be impaled. So, yeah you can use it, but do you want to take a chance with your life? Not me.
Very nice dude. Popps is happy and proud.
Superior video! The attention to detail will allow me to work on my out steering column. SUBSCRIBED!
Nice job. I appreciate your through attention to detail. 😎
do you know how to remove the top of the shift knob??? I wanted to get a custom one for my 74 dodge b200 van
Don't know, sorry.
Great video! Is there a similar one for a floor shift assembly?
No, sorry.
i am a mopar collector in pittsburgh, pa and have 7 68-69 Barracudas. i work on these cars myself and know first-hand how difficult it is to "remove" and then "replace" the window lift mechanism in these cars. you CANNOT do this job quickly nor can you do it without cutting up your hands. i'm sure this video was very helpful to a lot of barracuda owners.
Thanks Jim for your kind words.
I'm doing this very thing but my glass tilt where glass touches the root rail rubber is over 1" sticking out and there is not adjustment i can find to adjust tilt this way and your video doesn't address tilt that way
Not sure what and why glass is off by 1".
That's a beautiful '69 really love the blue interior.
Thanks for these vids. It's hard to find tips on these old Dodges. Where did you get the full kit from? The vent trim we received was not even close to the profile we needed. Thanks.
Thank you so much for posting this video! It helped me greatly! As much as I love the original service manual, it’s Mmmmm more of a visual guy. I’d be in trouble had you not posted this video Again thank you so very much
Angel were are you at on the web after BOG went defunct! Gerald!
Was hoping to see some attention to the pinion/yoke seal. My '68 Satellite started to leak in the garage. Evidently the 7.25 rear end utilizes that "collapsible spacer". Oh well, at least i know what cover gasket i need. Your differential turned out great btw!👍
Is that a factory wheel or custom? Never seen a rallye wheel in blue
Factory.
I think your coupler shoes are on backwards. The rounder sides go away from the shaft.
FANTASIC videos!
Ground strap for gas tank in order for the gauge to work. Best video I've seen and helpful
Very informative, thank you for making this video.
Why didn't you mention anything about the spider gears
The spider gear set is the part that allows one wheel to spin faster than the other. But repairing it is beyond my knowledge.
I am looking for part for 1969 dodge dart at 8:40 in your video items E and D but only need the piece on D that holds the slide still have slide any iteas of where to find them?
Thank You!
Excellent video!!
I am finishing the complete rebuild on an all original, numbers matching, 1969, 383 fastback barracuda. All the mechanical rebuild was no problem. But the doors and windows were difficult as they had been removed prior to me buying the car and I never saw how they were assembled. Your video saved me. Can't thank you enough. l would have messed up so many parts without this info. And I have to be careful with this one. There were only 377 barracudas made in 1969 with the 383 engine. Again, thanks so much. Great video.
Hello Angel, thank you for the video that will help me a lot and also thank you for your Webside . I have a question I tried to be come a member of your group but the web page nofound ?? I bought a fastback formula S 67 in spare part 10 years ago and now I started to restore It, maybe you can help me for details I'm living in Switzerland and it's not easy to find parts. Thank you Angel
I love Switzerland. I have been to Zurich many times and Geneva once. The Barracuda Owners Group is on Facebook. There are several groups, but I like ours best. The people on the site can help you quite a bit. I knew nothing about our cars in the beginning. Also, you will be able to get some parts if you post on the page what you need. Good luck!
This is soooooo helpful
Awesome videos sir. I have a 67 I am restoring for my dad the parts and names are sometimes hard to find. Your videos are a life saver! Thanks!!!
Quick question: what paint did you use for the column?
PPG B7 Dark Blue with no clear.
Though I have a 1966 Plymouth B-Body with no power steering and a 4 speed, this video helped me quite a bit since there isn't much support in the steering column world for 1966 models. There are some common items and those made a big difference. Thanks for the tips.
Yeah, you're not doing yourself any favors spending lots and lots of time, effort, and random products trying to clean out a 50-year-old plus rusty tank that's going to eventually clog your lines/carb. Just get a decent replacement and call it a day.
Angel, the 3M weatherstrip and gasket adhesive did not work for me to glue the chrome portion of the vent wing with the vent wing assembly. Tried twice. Now I just have a mess of black adhesive which I now need to remove. Any suggestions on making this work?
Did you try bending back the studs on the chrome A pillar piece to the vent window triangular part. (That is one each of the 3 sets of round studs)?
@@angelgarrido9609 I did give them a few shots with a hammer and chisel, but was tentative about how it would turn out. Ended up using JB weld, and that seems to be holding the two parts together well
Thank you for making this. When I got my 69 Charger it was just a bare metal shell with boxes and boxes of parts. This helps so much and I’m planning to attempt the doors tomorrow now that I have seen this.
Part two is also very detailed and presented. I have learned alot from your instruction. Very valuable!!
I have this rear end in my 56 Ford F100 and I would like to have posi-traction. Can you tell me if it is possible to convert the existing rear to posi and what is involved in doing so? Thanks!
Sorry, i have no idea.
This was a very informative and detailed video. I have a 66 Dodge Coronet. It help me out tremendously. I also have the service manual, but it does skip some things.
Excellent music! Would dish soap work as a lubricant?
These are great videos! I'm really glad I found them! The clown that put the glass and mechanical door assembly in my car did a lousy job. It's so tight I can hardly roll the window up or down.
Great video, really good info with no BS. I'm looking forward to doing my 69 Charger but for now I needed to replace the steering wheel. The music is also really good, very classy! I really don't like that hip hop rap junk many videos have.
Fantastic video. Question: is the shift knob removable from the arm? I tried unscrewing on my B Body and it doesn’t budge.
Don't know, but i assume it is,
Do you have more !
Door Window Pt. 1&2, Gas Tank, Steering Column, 7.25 Differential. Next is Dashboard.
Wow great INFO. Do you have more!
