This was my first turn and the first turn in the combat because I rolled stupid high on my initiative and then I roll a crit on a fourth level inflict wounds. I felt so cool. I have a dnd character I've been wanting to play as for SO LONG, Its a small tiefling boy who is the son of two very famous adventurers, his mother being a tiefling sorcerer, and his father being a paladin. They were very rich and cared for him having raised him in a manor, while they are away on adventures (Which is ofton) He would be raised by a Dragonborn maid and a kobold butler he treats both with imense respect (maybe even more than his parents) both parents having been trying to lean him towards a strong class like fighter or sorcerer, but he has loved plants and animals since he was young, so one day when his parents are on an adventure, he celebrates his birthday with the servents which he has grown so very fond of and as a gift both the Kobold butler and the dragonborn maid pooled their funds to get him teachings on how to be a druid and enough supplies to be an adventurer which he wanted to be for a long time to help people. I have wanted to play this for so long, because i also want to roleplay his reaction to if anything ever happened to eithier the Butler or the maid, or possibly both...I want this wholesome child to experience intense anger and hatred towards something

Also you cant counterspell a ward as the spell is already cast, and since no one is actively casting the spell there is no trigger for counter spell.
