Hi, I'm Reed Freedom. I love classic and outlaw country. Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, you know, the good stuff! I've also just started writing and producing original music.

I wrote this song for all the small town folks. You're the best folks!
My hometown is Harvey, North Dakota. I live in Minneapolis now and I often find myself thinking of the simple times of my youth, like everyone does when they get older. I wanted the images to stir up memories for anyone with a longing for the place they grew up in. That place could be anywhere in the world. That place will always live in your heart. I hope you have some good memories too.

I don't think I would have the same appreciation for my little hometown if I wouldn't have moved away. I guess the song is also a longing for the days of youth too. We all miss those sweet days!
@@reedfreedommusic I concur. I think moving so far away and expanding my canvas they way I did absolutely gives me an appreciation for where I came from. And, yes, those days of youth. They become sharper and more vivid as we get older!

The straight life aint beautiful. It just IS. Not good or bsd, i dont think its positive to lie to yourself just so u can pretend u r happy. Nature/god intended us to enjoy substsnces. That is why they were created, they allow for introspection. They were put here by god to expand our consciousness and mske us stronger. The issue is these tools are abused snd not respected. An addict life is hell truet me i know but the dtraight life isnt all thst much better. You beed a balance. Livin sn hinest life should include utilizing these tools a fee times a year.
