I wrote this song for all the small town folks. You're the best folks!
My hometown is Harvey, North Dakota. I live in Minneapolis now and I often find myself thinking of the simple times of my youth, like everyone does when they get older. I wanted the images to stir up memories for anyone with a longing for the place they grew up in. That place could be anywhere in the world. That place will always live in your heart. I hope you have some good memories too.

I don't think I would have the same appreciation for my little hometown if I wouldn't have moved away. I guess the song is also a longing for the days of youth too. We all miss those sweet days!

@@reedfreedommusic I concur. I think moving so far away and expanding my canvas they way I did absolutely gives me an appreciation for where I came from. And, yes, those days of youth. They become sharper and more vivid as we get older!
