Tony Hawks american wasteland got me into GB tbh. They had newer bands cover classic punk and hardcore. I had found tsol through Alkaline trio, black flag through rise against, and suicidal tendencies through senses fail. I may not care for FOB, but I do thank them for introducing me to GB as an 11 year old. Seen Gorilla biscuits 4 times, fall out boy, zero.

Wait a minute -- Phil Hartman **was** in the Peewee's Playhouse show, I absaolutely remember. I know Hammy and the others were abandoned but Phil Hartman went from the stage show to the TV show, so I don't know why Phil said he was "abandoned" when clearly he was not. Strange.

My kids grew up watching Pee Wee's playhouse. I remember him from Cheech and Chong movies.

Well I guess my mom was right about Paul Rubens right from the start. He was a creep.

was in CHEECH & CHONG movies & the UP IN SMOKE punk band sequences..well..

I remember watching that show on acid and had to turn it off because I was laughing too hard.

That Fudge Tunnel gig was so funny, we came down (as usual) from Skem...Jailcells killed it, we were on the last bus b4 the headliners appeared :-)

JD was right about the Butthole Surfers being a mystery. Being a fan in Australia where all I had were these freaky sounding albums with no information about the band on them kept me wanting to know more about them.

I watched that show religiously from the time I was in 7th grade through my sophmore year in high school. Not long ago, I binge watched the the whole series- it was cool to see the Flea and Anthony Kaedis at different times, Debbie Harry was on another episode, you never knew who was going to knock at the door (as a character) on the Playhouse.

Great video. Unfortunately, PeeWee Reubens ended up being about as punk rock as Joe Escalante. :(

That's funny. Red Kross showed up on my radar back when they were the best band on the Hell Comes to Your House (1981) compilation album. The song was called Puss 'n' Boots.

Growing up as an angsty teen mid 90's Vancouver i can say the albums dbs - tales from the crib & gob - too late no friends kept me relatively sane. Sure miss those $5 punk gigs.

Sadly a lot of famous artists straight up steal from the lesser known.
