Back in the day, maybe 2009(?) I had a mix cd going in my car with a bunch of Clash songs on it. London Calling was playing and then it went to Know Your Right, then into Hitsville UK. A kid I was friends with and was just getting into punk asked who it was and I told him The Clash and he was like no way this is The Clash. He was blown away because everything he ever knew about them was the purely punk sounding stuff by them and hadn't really dipped into their discography, which has a very diverse sound. I wouldn't say I love all their albums, but their so many hidden gems throughout their discography that I absolutely adore that I think well, if they didn't release Sandinista I wouldn't have ever heard Ivan Meets GI Joe and Lose This Skin, which is one of my favorite songs.
