Hello I'm just tuned 40. I would like to join army. It is possible for me to pass the assessment and training？ I run 40～50km every week. But no other muscle training session.
Hi, unfortunately 40 is too old for the regular army, the upper age limit for application is 35 years 9 months (last time I checked). That being said, you could probably apply to join the reserves as I believe the upper age limit is slightly higher, although you'll need to research that to be certain. I think the other services like the Navy and RAF recruit older personnel too, so that might be worth looking into. Best of luck.
How long does it take to start the basic training after passing the assessment?
It all really depends on your chosen cap badge and trade. The recruiters will try and tempt you to change your desired trade to allow an earlier start date to get numbers up, but hold firm and accept the date that will allow you to go straight into phase 2 after basic training. They may promise that you can re-trade after phase 1, but make sure you're making the decisions and that you're 100% happy before agreeing to anything.

They are great space savers and easy to use. Because of the nature of the design they can feel overly bulky at lower weight, but after a while you'll get used to it. The fact they can adjust from 2.5kg to 32.5kg and all stops in between makes them a great option for any home gym setup. If you think you'll get good use out of them, then I recommend buying a pair.

Practice is key. Make sure you're prepared beforehand and you'll be fine. The TST is also multiple choice. Corbett Maths or BBC Bitesize are great resources for revision.

Sorry for the late reply. It's great to hear that the videos are helping you out. I've not done any new ones for a while but that is due to change soon. what's the cognitive test max score ?
I'm not sure what the absolute max score would be. Unfortunately, that information wasn't disclosed to me at selection. That being said, there isn't a single trade that requires 100% scores. Plus, for the technical trades, you'll need to complete the TST as well as the cognitive test. I did a video on that separately and it can be found on the channel.

24 degree's and they canceled the fitness xD that's not hot at all xD. I'm British just have been living in South Africa for the last 5 years and I am thinking of signing up to the army, I just find it funny because I have done a lot of army like boot camps in like 28-35 degrees xD and they don't care about how hot it is when you are exercising xD.
The assessment event is a lot different to the real thing. In basic training, the rules are different. Remember, the aim is to train soldiers not to injure them or worse during training.

I've just come across your channel today and I haven't seen all your videos. Have you enlisted in the end? Regarding GCSEs, did you consider attending any more subjects in case you didn't hit the grade you needed? How did you go about that? My path doesn't seem so different from yours though I haven't yet applied as I'm a foreign national and not a British citizen for a further 18 months. I'm 33 now, I'm sitting my GCSEs as a private candidate in May/June 2024 (I need 5 in total, but I'm taking 4 on top of functional skills in Maths and English that I'm already doing as part of my current job role training) Thank you for making these videos, I'm absorbing every bit of the process and how to prepare for it 👍🏻👍🏻
Best of luck in your exams. I only needed 3 GCSE's for my desired trade so I only studied Maths and English as I already had one in another subject. Maths and English are the important ones, so long as you've got them in the bag you should be fine although it wouldn't hurt to have other qualifications too. I didn't join up in the end due to another opportunity that presented itself. No regrets... Well maybe a little...😀 I hope it works out for you.

Started playing this yesterday in performance mode. Personally I think it feels amazing. It's a shame I have to disable raytracing but it still looks gorgeous. If you aren't too picky and gameplay is the most important aspect of a game just as long as it doesn't look total trash then I see no reason not to play it. The combat is AMAZING. I'm not admiring how pretty the background is while dismembering storm troopers. And when you look at the sheer scale of the game I can kind of forgive it for not performing it's best. I'm on series x however. If I had a high end PC I would definitely not be able to defend it as much. There is no reason for it to underperform on the most powerful platform.
I find the crashing that's still occurring over five months later quite frustrating. I'd be enjoying it a hell of a lot more if the backtracking wasn't causing the whole game to literally shit itself

can you take this test when you're already in the army? the staff told me to not do it when I went to ac because I "wouldn't need it" but I think I might want to retrade
Do it at the AC! They'll offer you the chance to do it. Even if you score low it will still open up a decent selection of job roles. If you're thinking of retrading, then it's best to request to do so as early as possible. Once you're in, then it becomes harder.

Would you say it is worth playing on PC now? Am I able to get 60fps minimum now?
Idk maybe im lucky. With a RTX2080ti, Intel i-9 9900k and 32 GB of DDR4 memory im getting a solid 60fps on 4k highest settings except raytracing
Patch 7 just dropped a couple of days ago which improves performance even further, so hopefully the game is in a good state now for everyone.
Seeing all the reddit posts I assumed this game was ACTUALLY unplayable. But this footage really shows that I might be ok with where it's currently at. After the bummer that was Starfield and it's constant Crashes this game may be my savior Will buy and update how it does on my rig
Such a good game, but Koboh open world is a complete nightmare. Can’t get a refund at that point. This game isn’t even THAT BIG, I cant understand what happened here.

“Have you heard of the tragedy of Respawn entertainment? It’s not a tale EA would tell…” It was such a tragic shame when this game came out. I absolutely adore Fallen Order and have played through it multiple times so I was incredibly excited for the sequel. Gameplay and narratively it improved on its predecessor in sati ways with a great story. If they’d just spent another 6-12 months developing it I feel it could’ve been an almost perfect Star Wars game. My system runs on an i7 9700K and an RTX2080 so my VRAM is limiting with how absurdly unoptimised the texture VRAM usage is. If I turn off RT and keep settings to a mix of high and medium, and only *just* manage to hit a consistent 60FPS in busy areas. Stutter as you say is still an issue, despite running the game off an M.2 drive and I have 32Gb system memory too. I love the game, but gosh I wish it was a smoother ride.

It depends on the game to be honest. Usually most games run high 60's to low 70's. The cpu tends to run hot though mid 70's to low 80's gotta love Ryzen. Don't need the radiator on during winter.
On my pc it is still crashing as frequent as in the beginning, everything is up to date. My system has a game rock 4090 and a 13900K CPU

Where can I find what points I need to score on the test for the different job roles
There is a web site called boot camp and military fitness that has a list of scores published, however I'm not sure how up to date it is.

I dont like how the rewards are all cosmetic stuff that you will never use once you have items you like.
Fallen Order was and still is unplayable for me on PC. Traversal stutters every 30 seconds....But On PS5 though, it runs like a dream.
bought jedi fallen order on pc its expensive. Kind if regret buying i did finish the game. When it works its fun but theres bugs , random crash , freeze . Like its horrible. Yeah this game cost too much. Even kingdom hearts 3 runs better than this and re4 remake. So i didnt buy this game cause its an unfinish game same like the last of us part 1 pc. What a big disappointment. They launch expect customer to pay high price for it just to get these type of unplayble games. Which is ridculous.

@@EternalBeatbox the requirement for optimised AAA game rn is crazy. Either go full potato with non 8 gigs desktop gpu, or get them high end gpus to met the reccomended specs :(

So I’m running a Ryzen 5 3600 processor and a 5600XT graphics card and it looks terrible. Is my hardware just not strong enough?
I'd say it's more than capable of running the game but you'll need to tweak the settings to find the sweet spot. You will struggle to play the game on 100% ultra settings. Start on medium and work from there. You may find one or two settings are OK on ultra/high and others work better on low/medium. It's trial and error. I'd also use AMD software to optimise performance and quality.

You might struggle to be honest. I think the game would run, but you would have to run it on low settings at 1080p. Even then you might struggle to hit 60fps. If you get a steam key then you can always request a refund if you can't get it running. You might want to look at upgrading your 1650ti.

I'm using a 3080ti with a 5950x ryzen cpu. I capped the frame rate at 60 for the purpose of the video. Your laptop should be fine. You might need to play around with the graphics settings to find what works best.

I really wanna get this game but like im also so hesitant because I want to enjoy the game at high fps and dont like stuttering. I dont care for ray tracing. Im not sure how the game is doing right now but what is your recommendation ? should I wait or buy it rn because its going for 41 dollars from an online website.
I limited the fps to 60 for the video as I believe that is the minimum benchmark a modern game should achieve. When I removed the fps cap using Nvidia control panel the fps easily climbed above 100, the stuttering issue still persists however. In all honesty, the stuttering may never completely be patched out however your hardware will run the game with little issues.

I also think for the time being this is as good as it gets which is disappointing because I was hoping this game would be more optimized but I love star wars and Jedi fallen order so I know I will buy the game eventually. I just hope the game runs to my satisfaction. Shame they did great job on the game itself but they skipped optimization
My game keeps crashing and freezing on the same cutscene (the first one where Cal is being escorted to the senator). I just bought the game on PC and I can't play.
The game still has issues. Hopefully the next patch isn't to far away.

@@EternalBeatbox its doing fucking incredible actually i got to the second planet and the hiccups have been very very small. i dopnt even have entirely advanced hardware i have one of the older rtx boards along with some mid-end hardware im nothyperfixated on making my computer as optomized as possible and its WORKING! im loving it
@@Nibiru_-_Gen_Z_Warlock thats great to hear, i have older hardware myself, i7-10750H rtx 2070, i haven't bought it yet so we'll see, i've noticed players with lower end hardware are having better experiences than the 30 and 40 series players, kinda interesting...

Played it on 3080, 5700x and 32 GB 3600 ram and luckily I had no drops during boss fights and so on. But in the wild the FPS were terrible. It was indeed playable but not pleasant.
Def isn't fixed. I'm on a strix 3080, 5950x cpu and 64gb ram and This game has crazy lag spikes, Stutters and frame drops repeatedly.
Got this a month back on pc and was getting 20 fps on max settings 2600x1600 on a 3070ti . Unsure if I should buy it on my ps5 instead
I'd say wait for further patches unless you can get a refund for your PC copy. Did you have ray tracing on? Performance really fails hard with rtx on. With it off you should be able to get at least 60fps most of the time.
@@aboutaveragejake yeah I refunded after 5 mins. I had to go so low settings wise I might as well play on console if it’s more stable. I’ll give it a few more patches
I’ve got a 3070, ryzen 7 7700x, 32gb ddr5 ram... there’s definitely some insane fps drop issues still, mainly on koboh and the place you fight rayvis
Yeah the performance on certain areas around Koboh is just awful
