Just a few tips from a 16 year old who gets level 11 on a beep test you need to make sure you time it so you arrive at the beep and not wait also don’t turn like a bus your wasting energy you should just twist your foot and use momentum to your advantage you will get to much higher stages
Thanks for the advice. I'm planning at least two more beep test vids to chart progression (amongst others). Level 7.5 is the benchmark now, next time I'll push for a higher level.
@@aboutaveragejake id plan to do a beep test once a week amongst with other varying excersises to track your progress. Good stuff man keep it up hope all goes well for you ❤️
I passed assessment in June for infantry and a few tips I can give u is don’t get to the line so early where your standing there and also u only need one foot to get to the line not your whole body over the line.
Well done on getting through the assessment centre. I'm a little rusty when it comes to beep tests, I'm still hoping that when my time comes around it'll return to the 2km run. In the mean time until it's confirmed I'll still practice both. Best of luck at phase 1 👍
@@Runner-Boy nah you don't, for some jobs you don't need to pass maths, like im going in as an armourer but that only requires a lvl 3 in maths, pretty sure infantry is the same
Hi I’m sure you already know but some of the army roles don’t require any GCSEs I had an application open not long ago and the roles I had picked didn’t need any formal qualifications
Best of luck within your application 👍. You're right there's tonnes of job roles available that require no formal qualifications. The Royal Engineers stood out for me so that's why I chose them.
@@aboutaveragejake thanks, i’m hoping to re-apply some time this year, first i’m going to do a few online courses for maths etc to help me give me a bit more of a boost into it 🤝 Hope your application is going well too!
@@aboutaveragejake thank you very much mate. I’ve looked but not to clear from what I have read. Obviously it’s a best effort. I’ll continue to give my best effort for the big day. All the best mate.
Hi, I believe the minimum level for any trade is 6.6 or there about. So yes, but there are other factors involved such as academic qualifications and how well you perform on the Barb test and TST.

Good info mate. Can you confirm what the required beep test to achieve is for infantry army reserves is?
I believe its level 8.6 but I'm not
100% sure. Your best bet is to check on the army jobs website.
