Another common problem is the secondary air injection system going bad and throwing check engine light among other lights. 2k to fix “properly” or $400 for a bypass kit from Hewitt design

I just want to add, the diff locking can be finicky. If it doesn’t lock immediately that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t. Mine usually locks/light stops flashing after moving forward a couple feet Edit: and service that differential it’s probably never been done!

Those timing belt stickers can be purchased online.. Don't get fooled.. Seller should have a receipt from a repair shop.. If not run away..

My 2007 GX 470 is green and I think the bronze rims would look very good on it.

What happened is that you wound up with black wheels, which look good on your silver Lexus, but which is a look that is so common that it is boring. The look of the bronze wheels made your Lexus stand out as innovative and very unique. Please yourself, not your friends. It is your vehicle, not theirs. And you liked the bronze. In any event, you have a great looking rig, which still stands out as being different and looks marvelous compared to any other Lexus I have ever seen. Thank you for the video.

Hey, how are you. I’m looking at a 2007 gx470 with 240k miles in good shape no rust the guy wants 8,500 he won’t go lower but he said he does not know when the timing belt or water pump were done last should I pass on it ?

I stay away from cars or trucks with water pump and timing belt changes every certain mileage.

Great info on diff, I just recently purchased mine from a family member and it was woman owned, I don’t think the diff was ever locked before.

Good tip but this doesn’t work for all cars. I even have a ‘22 IS which does show all my service history, when I tried to add my ‘08 GX it pulled up nothing. I even called Lexus Corporate, they couldn’t help me.

So should I not be concerned that before it hit 150,000 miles it already needed a new transmission and a new catalytic converter?

I paid today $12,600 for my jeep tj 2006 rubicon. With 170,000 miles on it Has a bit of rust on the frame, It runs, no leaks, ac is good, I do want a hardtop, so I'm going to be in $15k once I get the hard top.
