Which version of Halo CE is he running? The OG Gearbox Version does not run this smoothly

Pretty sure I'd blown myself up multiple times to chain reactions earlier in the stream doing that, so I was overly cautious.

Because that was on CE Anniversary which has ~5 minutes of anniversary graphics specific timesave.

doing out of bounds tricks without the help of anniversary is a power move
such a credit to how amazing this game is… just watching someone cutting all corners and speeding through the game is still fun decades later. Props Cambid !!

Much easier than the other video I was trying to follow. Getting the teleport was giving me a headache but this method is easier, not to mention a bit faster.

Ow wow, after seeing runners doing the "banshee noclip" exploit on two betrothals, it's crazy to see doing the "shooting your way through the level" strategy is coming back once again for a new halo evolved combat world record
Note that this is the "classic" category that inhibits the use of new graphics for the banshee out of bounds glitch. I don't think we'll ever see the regular two betrayals route on the main halo ce category again.
@@Jullan-M but this is the first halo, of course it's the classic :p but i've seen people switch their "graphics" somehow sometimes to look at stuff (it's a mod that's apparently allowed, but i don't like it, it's not what the devs and marty o' donald intended), but apparantly it wasn't even needed to go faster if this is the world rekkie of the world eh :D
@@PhluppeHimself I think you might have missed what Julian-M wanted to explain: The switch between graphics is not a mod, it's the anniversary version of the game. It's a remastered but official version of the game and anniversary/classic are two different speedrun categories as well. So if you see someone do the banshee out of level trick on "Two Betrayals" it is the anniversary version, which has the feature to switch graphics/textures. :) sometimes also noted as MCC version (Master Chief Collection)
@@ThePeterPan17 oh i see. I thought "anniversary" meant that when you shoot a grunty, their heads pops a bunch of confetti and says 'yaaaay'. I saw some people doing that on a website that hosts streams for games. But your explanation helped me understand, thanks! So this classic runs does less 'out of the map' tricks because the original graphics are too well made and it's just impossible to fly the banshee on that level then. Makes cents now :D i feel like a doofus. But I like that action packed shooting more tbh, really shows the speedrunner's skill. It always felt a bit cheap when people avoid combat scenarios by walking through walls on "deathless" challenges, at least they get called out for by people calling them a goat or lama or whatever sometimes.
@@PhluppeHimself Not a mod, the Master Chief Collection has anniversary edition graphics. It allows you to switch between legacy and anniversary edition graphics with the press of a button. It's baked in, which is why it's allowed.
Sub 11 classic TB in fullgame has got to be one of the biggest flexes in the history of CE speed running

Having a breakout IL WR race between Cambid and sloth on a Sunday is a great kickoff to the week.
