I am so sad right now.... i really loved the first one the second one was okayish. But the last one was so dissapointing. What happend to all the cool characters.... 😢😢😢

Thank you, this was very helpful! I feel like the beginning of this book was very confusing and watching this halfway through really helped me understand the plot.

I am currently plodding through the 3rd book of 3BP. Loved the netflix show and thought I'd give the books a try, I haven't noticed much mistreatment of female characters yet, but I still have about 500p to read so who knows. It's quite sciencey so it's taking me a while to get through but I find the overall story to be really interesting!

Ivanhoe is probably the best classic I've read, I also have the once and future king by T.H White on my TBR for classics. To Kill a Mockingbird, is one of the easier classics I've read and it was worth the read although it had it's ups and downs. From what I've hears the book The Three-Body problem is much better than the tv show, so it'll be interesting to hear what you think of it.

I'm amazed you haven't read To Kill A Mockingbird. I assumed you would have read it in school. 😆 It was one of my Year 10 English texts but I'd already read it for fun when I was in Year 8. It's a modern classic so the language is easier than the older works you probably associate classics with, and it's still topical and relevant to society today, so you might enjoy it and you might find it easier in audio format (I find most classics are easier to consume as audios). I'm on the fence for you though. I read 'A Marvellous Light' about 2 years ago. I liked it and gave it 3 stars but I wasn't interested in continuing the series. I remember thinking the magic system was good, and if you do like it, the third book recently came out so you won't even have to wait for the rest of the series to be released! I added The Three-Body Problem to my audiobook list several months ago because I heard so many good things about it. I still haven't gotten around to it and I might just end up watching the show instead. 😆

I still need to read all of my 23 physical books I won since last year on Goodreads Giveaways!! I've only read two of them. But I also have 4 bookshelves full of new books I haven't read either! I like audio books, too.

I genuinely love the face you make in your thumbnails for disappointed book reviews, but those Brandon Sanderson ones made me sad for you because I knew you'd had such high hopes.

Weirdly, I think this is the first time I've ever heard someone describe what The Will of the Many is actually about. So that's good to know. 😆 The realest thing in this video is saying you're planning to clean, and then coming back a week later and being like, 'Yeah... that didn't happen.'

I had to get this on audiobook and force myself to listen to it in the car. I could not get through it! Im pretty sure I only have a vague idea of what happened bc of how little this book kept my attention. I was hoping to come here and find another awesome summary video, but alas, you suffered juat as much as i did!

I agree sanderson's quality has greatly been diminished as of late. He is focusing on quantity over quality. I thought yumi was horrible. I'm in no rush to read sunlit man.

I dnfed Black Sun like 20% in. The Atlas Complex was such a hot mess, one of my worst read of the year. The second one was my favorite though. I have special edition of the trilogy and don"t know what to do about it since I loved the first 2. I recently unhauled the first two books of the Malazan serie and it was so freeing ! The insistence of the fans saying you have to push through even if you didn't like the first one is so uuuuuggh. No thanks. I hated the way it was written (with characters just reacting to stuffs and never settling in their heads) and the super vague magic system. It took me 3 years to do so.

Those De Castell books are so pretty. It's a shame they're not good. 😆

'Fantasy and trauma' just sounds like another description for real life 😂 When you said updates at the start and end of every week, I thought you meant separate videos and I was like, 'That's ambitious'. But this makes a lot more sense! I'm very proud of you for reading more non-fiction this year. I know you've always said you don't like non-fiction, but I've always felt that there's a non-fiction subject out there for everyone and it's just a matter of finding what works for you. So I'm glad to see you branching out.

I can't dnf. It's so difficult for me as it's like another open task. Regarding the tbr shelf: Some books have sat on there for a good few years and when I've gotten around to read them, they turned out to be some of my favourites of ALL time. I've been like this since I was a girl/teen. My physical tbr is currently at 9 books. Which doesn't seem like a lot compared to a book tuber but for me, it's too much. Too many open tabs. 😂

The Malazan Book of the Fallen is a great series, a couple of the books in it are probably some of the best books I've ever read, in terms of quality of writing, and world building

I think mirrored heavens has already come out in some locations, but I'm hearing no one talk about it, even in anticipated release videos so I don't think you're missing much by unhauling those!

'If I Never Met You' is great. I'm sorry, but it is. 😂 If you haven't gotten rid of these yet, I'll happily take it off your hands and will deffo pay for postage. I'm lowkey proud of you for DNFing the Black Sun series. I didn't even finish Fevered Star. I'll never get over how the Atlas series went downhill. It started so strong. Book 2 wasn't the best but it was still decent. And then book 3 happened. There's no excuse for that dumpster fire; it didn't need to be that way.

I had a few disappointing reads lately. Promise of Blood, Leviathan Wakes, and Ancillary Justice. The Greatcoats series is my favorite series of all time and I don’t want to read any of his other works because I’ve heard they don’t compare at all. Books I loved recently: The Black Coast, Theft of Swords, and Red Sister. They’re all the first books in completed trilogies. 💕

I’m about halfway through Ship of Magic, my first book in the Realm of the Elderlings universe and I AM HOOKED. I’ll finish the Liveship Traders then start from the beginning.

I also hate the use of 'male/female' instead of 'man/woman'. It always sticks out so much. It's just so unnatural and weird. I will say, I was impressed by the level of the worldbuilding and setting in 'When the Moon Hatched' - you don't often see that. But the character work left a lot to be designed, so I'm glad I quit it.

If you want more books, if you haven't read them already check out the Malazan book of the fallen series from Steven Erikson and Ian C. Esslemont. That will fill your TBR for a long time

I just finished the book a couple hours ago! Two moments I would add are when, after Sadeas' betrayal, Adolin chooses not to blame but to support his father as well as Kaladin running of the end of the bridge, filled with Stormlight, and jumping the chasm to help Dalinar.

That Brothersong-The Pairing double whammy is gonna hurt. I'm sure you'll like it though.
