I agree with everything you're saying about SpaceX's advancements. I would, however, caution the idea of laying them all at the feet of Elon Musk.

Ian is right. Tax payers are almost solely paying for Mars. SpaceX is the largest recipient of tax dollars.

  • @ktwalri

You are forgetting the advances being made in portable nuclear power plants driven by the Mars project. I’ve seen the tremendous advances being made in both fusion and fission technologies small enough to fit in a rocket. This could be very beneficial to people on earth as we try to wean ourselves off hydrocarbons. Think of all the scientific breakthroughs necessary to have a self sustaining city of 1M inhabitants on Mars. I heard the same negative talk in the sixties regarding the unthinkable task of actually landing a human on Mars and returning them safely back to earth.

I'm late to this talk but leaving this comment for Daniel at around 21:47 In VS code, there's an extension called Multiple cursor case preserve. Simple but really useful. Also I can't believe Aaron hasn't used Emmet. I've become so dependent on it when writing html or vanilla css.

I’d follow the TailwindUI model. Charge one time fee for $299. I’m a new Tighten client doing my first Laravel site. I bought TailwindUI for $299 without giving it another thought just because it was one time fee forever. BTW, I preordered Flux for $99 even though I probably wouldn’t renew the subscription after a year. I’d be okay with paying $299 for lifetime now even though I probably won’t be using it for another year.
