A new season with new goals. Grid of about 30 Hyosungs.
Qualified 2nd, with Ben Cook 1st (-0.2) who had a little unintentional tow help from me.

New pb of 1:21.8 as well (without tow)
Absolutely amazing start to the season but definitely feel like there is more time out on track. Current Lap Record - 1:21.2 (Jesse Stroud).

Round 2 of the championship got off to a great start. I went out for qualifying, found some clear air and set a time of 1:24.3, good enough for pole again. Pretty stoked and a nice confidence boost. Good question. Pretty much all you can go for nowadays is chinese fairings from alibaba or aliexpress. In most cases they're actually not bad, but finding a supplier that does the exact some design as factory is probably tricky. Cheers.

I just stumbled across this video, and wow, it brought back so many great memories! I used to have a 1990 Kawasaki ZXR 250 just like this one. Such a classic bike with that unmistakable sound and style. Riding it was always a thrill-thanks for the nostalgia trip!

While I would die for this little ZXR250R, my baby and one of my most lusted after "little liters" is the MC22 CBR250RR, with a bunch of Tyga goodies(rearsets, exhaust, protection ECT), AS Uotani Full Power ignition, FCR Flatsides, and potentially either a full set of Saitaniya 600rr Carbon or Carbon/Kevlar (probably Kevlar if leaving "unpainted") complete conversion fairings and rear cowl (cyclops version), or their "original" looking full Carbon or Carbon/Kevlar fairings 😅

They're great bikes aren't they! I sold it about 3 years ago when I posted the video for about $9,000 NZD ($5,250 USD) located in Auckland New Zealand. That was a really good price, at a time where people were going crazy for collectible bikes... The market has softened a bit, maybe $4,500 USD??

@SpringForestDeli I'm not sure if they were available NZ new but I could be wrong. This one, much like yours was imported from Japan early on in its life I believe.
I got 205 out of my ZXR250 91, 74kgs, I got 180 with a pillion.. no speed record for getting there, but it got there,, the 19,000rpms was the ticket,,, real pocket rockets.

Hey mate, yeah it worked well for my first bike. Technically something newer would probably be better/more reliable, but if you find a good one I'd go for it 🙂
