Thank you for the update. I've updated my BCC6kFF and I would like to use the Cloud Live Sync for the proxies, but I can't find in the settings where I have to set my Blackmagic Cluod account information. Anyone knows how to do it and how to connect the Camera to the internet for the live update to occur? Thanks

If you use BMPCC4K and shoot 16:9 don´t instal 8.6 or 8.7 Beta. Ther´s a bug and they told me at BM to instal back 8.5.1. Problem is : If you shoot DCI 17:9 everyithing is fine but when you crop to UHD 16:9 it crops only right side of the sensor while left side stays in DCI 17:9 mode. While on display and HDMI monitor everyting looks normal, when you see the recording, it shoots to the left ( monitored image/frame doesn´t match with recorded image ).

All these 'new' features are from the 8.6 update; 8.7 only adds Blackmagic Cloud Live Sync for proxy files. Maybe take the time to read the update info next time

Isnt the image stabilization just turning on lens stabilization? I've had that feature on mine for a bit but it is greyed out if the lens doesn't have image stabilization.

I also got my bmpcc4k for the same reasons. I wasn’t into specs like frame size. I have zero knowledge about color-science or image quality but I just simply liked this camera’s footages the most compared to other cameras that are even more expensive. And I really like the way you only add v mount bettery to make simple. Thank you for sharing this information. By the way, your smartphone footage seems also super great enough for vlogging.

Personally I use the Smallrig wooden side handle because it also holds a T5 SSD. I personally don’t use a top handle, but I do have one. I have a bunch of different lenses, but I mainly use the LUMIX 12-35 f2.8 which is stabilized, or I use the sigma 18-35 f1.8 with a Metabones Speedbooster. But those are not cheap options, but I already had them from when I had a Panasonic GH4. I bought my Pocket 4K a long time ago the day they came out. I got super lucky and walked into my local camera store when they were unloading the truck. They let me buy one, even though they had a long waiting list, but I had cash in hand. I didn’t even know how to use it because there were no RUclips videos on it yet. It took me a while to figure out how to color grade it. Since then, they have had a bunch of firmware updates, and now they are a lot easier to color grade. For batteries, I mainly just carry a few Canon batteries in my pocket, but I’m not a pro, just an amateur. I do have a V mount battery that I can throw on there if I need it. One thing about V mount batteries, if you ever get an external monitor, don’t try to power the camera and the monitor with the same battery at the same time, a lot of people have burned up the HDMI port on the camera by doing that. It doesn’t happen to every camera, but it has happened to a bunch of people. They might have fixed that problem by now, so do some research.

Thank you. So I’m shooting on the t7 and I’m shooting on all the same settings you are. I’ve updated my firmware on the camera but I’m still having it shut down later in the shooting sessions. Is it possible that the camera is getting too hot and it’s running slower?

Hey man it is some way to controle complete the blackmagic pocket true the computer using the usb cable? , for example to turn on the Bluetooth connection of the Camara … the thing I have one pocket 6K with the común problem of touch screen broken and almost all the settings only can be changed true there , do you have any solution.?

please dont take this as an insult, but instead as constructive criticism. repeatedly saying you do not know what the world is/how to pronounce it/etc within the first 2 minutes of your video does not build trust with your audience. it makes you sound like you dont know what you're talking about. most people dont want information from someone who doesn't sound like they know what they are talking about. before you sit down to make the video, look up the words. find clips of someone else saying them. fully understand how to say the word and what it means before sitting down to record yourself talking about this thing, because otherwise you will look severely underprepared in a a medium (YoutTube videos) where you have all the editing time in the world to make sure what you're saying is correct.

I've owned two similar models (35ml). The shutters in these things are absolute trash. I got a few rolls through mine (which was just overhauled) before it died on me. It's a shame, because the lens is one of my all time favs, but the shutters, (I have both citizen and Seiko built ones) are just extremely unreliable and very difficult to fix. This model may have a copal shutter in it, but clearly your luck isn't any better than mine. Hope you can get yours fixed. Mine are just paper weights

I just did the same thing yesterday, bought it pristine for next to nothing with 'shutter issues'. Thought it may just need a shutter clean but pretty soon realised it was beyond a simple shutter clean. Seemingly the whole camera needs dismantling which is really beyond my skills. It was the same with this camera, nothing happening in auto but in manual the shutter would fire at the same timing regardless of aperture setting and clearly no light was entering the camera. I might look at seeing if I can open the lens from the front just to satisfy my curiosity as I've pretty much settled on selling this for parts as I've seen another in good condition and working at a good price and what I've seen as not as good as this one I can then replace with parts from the first camera. Have you checked the 35 M and ML? Visually closer in looking to the X100v, if you're enjoying the mechanics of this type of camera check out the Ricoh Super Shot family.

Great video and production, I just don’t see how this is the 1961 X100V. No light meter readout, fixed lens, awkward control layout (compared to other film cameras, don’t know about the X100V), etc. I think there are better options, albeit for slightly higher prices, but still much, much less than the X100 cameras. But don’t stop the videos, they look good.
