The Bee Gee's started singing professionally in the late 1950's. Thank you for pronouncing Maurice's name correctly. There voices are so amazing and it always blows my mind that Barry always sounds like multiple people when he sings even in live performances. Some guy in the comments of one of the reaction videos that I watched said that Barry's voice in Too Much Heaven, Barry's voice was dubbed over itself 25 times to achieve that sound. I have heard them sing with only a mic and an amp and Barry produces that sound with his voice.

Late to this, but outside of Innuendo, the post-'70s Queen output is pretty bad. There are some standout songs, but listening to a whole album without skipping anything died with Jazz.

You made a really good point. Rap can often be about "fk the gov and fk the system" when it gets political but tupac's change is original and rare in the sense that it talks about self reflection. Instead of just pointing finger its about walking the talk. Rap has ruined so many generations because too many hypocrites who never stepped foot in hardship but lie or fake about it in songs so the best way to avoid the lie is to just Rap about money and sex which is honest but doesn't resonate. It's hard to find real story in Rap with real meaning and genuine.

I love this song. Music is totally subjective, and each person can interpret it has they experience it. I first heard it it a few weeks ago, certainly when compared to Michael Jackson's other work, it falls flat, but it's a good song. I feel it and it makes me dance so the song did its job.

I think they are both the best artists in their respective genres. However in my opinion, Freddy mercury sings better by far, but I insist Michael Jackson is incredible too.

I think both are great artists and even though freddie has the greater singing voice even though i dont care about belting before and after this video i love micheal's tone, emotion and sincerity more though i think freddie is very sincere too i found many of his songs here i will checkout now.

Bee Gees fan since Massachusetts no others compare. In my opinion their 1989 “One For All” tour was the peak of their live performances. I love their early 70s stuff which never gets mentioned. “The Chance of Love” is a masterpiece.

I've got 4 brothers, and they couldn't have more different personalities and like the Gibb brothers there is always a clown in this case Mo, a timid one, that's Robin and as you say the charismatic one was undoubtably Barry! Their mother Barbara Gibb once said "I remember walking past the boy's bedroom, the twins were about 5 years old, they boys were singing in perfect harmony, I thought they had the radio on" so from that they started harmonizing at a very, very young age. Thats hard to believe isn't it that 5-year-olds could harmonize that young! One day when the brothers were walking home from the cinema, Barry said to the twins, "one day we are going to be famous, I just know it". How right he was. I grew up listening to the Bee Gees I was in my teens in the 70s and even went to the local disco dancing the night away to Night Fever!

I think a kind of magic is a great song. Thats one of the reasons I would put the album a bit higher. I also think that there are other good songs on this album. I'm a huge Queen fan but all in all I think all of their albums are a bit lacking. It' a top three band for me but none of their albums are even close to top 10 for me (except greatest hits 1-3). I think thats for me the only downside with Queen. And honestly I don't understand it. They have so many great songs. More than almost every other bands. Compared to David Bowie and the Beatles (the other of my top 3 picks) their albums are lacking. But all three have as many good songs. And I love all three.

This has been a favorite album since elementary school. I am so encouraged that younger people are discovering it in the twenties! I always found it strange that the song is about the Baltic Sea, but the title refers to the Black Sea.

The BeeGees always wrote the Melody first before writing any words. Then the harmonies.

Look at; A Day in the Life, Lady Madonna,Hello GoodBye, and I am the Walrus. Merge that with some BeGees and some Vocoder vocals and you see that this song is related to all its influences. However like Oasis it feels “stolen” without being taken at all. This is why it’s used so much in movies. It’s GREAT 70s production.
