DIY Seed Starting Recipe (Cheap & Easy)
This is our favourite seed starting mix. Using only three ingredients - coir, compost and sand, it's cheap and easy and can be used for cuttings too.
I like to make a fresh batch at the beginning of each planting season.
We find this mix stays moist but with the added sand for drainage, doesn't rot the seeds.

We always get a glut of cherry tomatoes at the end of the season and have found the best way to preserve them is through ketchup. Being cherry tomatoes the sauce is sweeter than normal and make for the tastiest ketchup. See our recipe for making red wine at home from hand-harvested shiraz and grenache grapes. We use a wooden basket press to get the most juice out of the grapes but you can still make it without. I see it's organic but is this honey raw and unfiltered? or processed in any way with heat? How should it be stored and how long might it keep?
Thanks for your message, we haven't had a chance to harvest this young hive yet. We are just heading into our second spring so hope this is the year! It will be raw, organic & unfiltered :)
Great job.I like this press .My ,made by combination-press is plastic,wood -frame,and stainless .Today I was pressing 50 l Black Currant wine. Is to acid for me,but I'm working about dawning acid;-)

Thank you for your lovely feedback :) Yes found the press at an auction, very unusual, can't put heaps of pressure on it but it does the job. We currently pick from our neighbours vineyard who have over 8 acres of planted vines! We are planning on growing our own in the coming years
What is name of tablet?
We use Campden tablets (sodium metabisulphite) :)
