@@roberthart897 the gnats are most likely from the soil. There are lots of videos on how to treat them on RUclips. The best way is to get rid of the soil which is where they lay their eggs. I have had some luck with using a product called mosquito bites. I will say I have found it nearly impossible to get rid of them all because even when I purchase a new plant or a new bag of soil they seem to be there when I buy them which starts your process of getting rid of them all over again. It has to be the most frustrating thing about keeping plants indoors. But I’m addicted to them so I just deal with it and try to keep the bugs at a minimum. Good luck 👍

So beautiful! You have an amazing green thumb and eye for beauty. I’m too afraid to bring moss in. I don’t like bugs especially the prolific bugs of SWFlorida so I only have 1 or 2 mini plants inside. All plants do well outside here anyway. Stay warm!

I always like to know the prices it helps you learn when you see a good deal. As I said in the video I loved Amanda’s booth even before I knew about her channel on RUclips. I don’t live close to the mall but I do drive by it a least 4 times a year so I always go check it out. My next trip will be in the warmer months and I hope to make another video then. I’m sorry to hear you had a set back. Glad things are looking up. I’m excited you found some new channels for inspiration. I’m away with my family this week and I’m struggling to find time to make content for next week’s video but I’m hoping to pull it together. Editing takes a lot of time but I really enjoy the creative storytelling side of it. I struggle the most with wanting to make something creative and something informative. I also would welcome a video regarding usage of different art mediums and pros/cons/preferences. Happy New Year!

@@JanElizabethLakey I paint in acrylics 99.5% of the time. I own oils, but have only done 1 or 2 small paintings, due to some time restraints, there is no time to just "play" and learn oils. Maybe in the new year, that should be one of my goals, to practice in oil and learn technique. I have a little set of tube gouache but don't really use it! I also try watercolors but not lately. I tried painting Plein Air with acrylics but they just dry too quickly both on the palette and on the canvas/panel, and painting outside has a whole other level of complications I don't necessary need to add to my plate. My surfaces are either canvas, hardboard or wood, each has it's advantages. I like the smoothness of hardboard and wood but sometimes the varnish pools oddly, so I've learned to use only spray varnish on wood/hardboard. I like canvas for size and it looks nice in a floating frame. If I am traveling, I'll just do some journalling with gouache or watercolors, haven't done that much yet though. I'm curious what types of paints you gravitate towards and the pros and cons of each,

@@suzanlanz6560 I was so proud of myself I didn’t buy anything! It wasn’t easy to do but I talked myself out of buying anything. I was trying to be good. I will have to go back in the spring time and do another walk around it is just amazing to be there with all the new plants and blooms when outside is still in winter mode. My niece lives in west Palm Beach Florida. I visited her last year to photograph her and her husband before their wedding earlier this year which was on Amelia Island. Florida has amazing plants everywhere. The heat and humidity is a lot! Here in Maryland is insane but Florida is next level but the difference is you guys get nice breezes and tropical storms which makes it more pleasant. Merry Christmas to you. Thanks for your feedback on the dark wax. I used acrylic to paint it. Just the crafty kind you find at Michaels. Your collection of wood figurines sounds like my cup of tea. I have a few animal ones I have found at thrift stores which is starting to become a collection. Smile. Like I need another collection. What do you do with your cigar boxes? oh I use cigar boxes for art supplies (inks, small oil tubes) and to hold my greeting cards (a true cube box) for art shows/sales. I always think I’ll paint something on them but I never do. My Christmas decorations are up! Things are calming down. May you have a blessed holiday season.

I thought about you when I was making this video. I was wondering how you and your family were doing. I will ask the angels to surround you with loving healing light and to fill your heart with hope. I wish you get a Christmas miracle. Sometimes decorating can be enjoyable and other times it can just add stress to our busy lives so i hope which ever is true for you this year you will embrace that time of decorating or just let it go and know all that really matters is being with the ones you love this time of year. @ it might be worth it if you can create references art. Do they let you do it for a month and cancel? I pay for the adobe suite but haven’t reached my limit yet. I haven’t tried mid journey but I saw another painter that was using images from MJ and they were beautiful. He asked MJ to create it in a certain painter style which I tried in adobe and couldn’t get the same results. If you have a question maybe I could answer it in an up coming video.
