I decided I would team up with ProspectorAl (watch him on youtube!) and see if we could get on some gold. One thing led to anther and I got myself turned around and down the opposite side of the hill. Things don't always go as planned. We must learn to be adaptable to any situation. I was never "lost", but I did not know the direction of the trail from my location. Despite how it looks the terr...
Goldtherapy Season 2 - Hand Dredge Final
Просмотров 7 тыс.11 лет назад
Final Edition of the Hand Dredge aka "sucker tube" videos! I have tried many of my own homemade designs and this is my favorite by far. No adjustments other than when you first make it. It draws great and is smooth in operation. The only drawback is the foam will break down over time. No sweat you disassemble the end, cut off the old foam, set a new one in place and replace the end fitting. Bre...

Season 2 - Hand Dredge / Sucker Tube Update I made a new design of sucker tube and it seems to work as good as my first design if not better. Only time will tell. It will cost you about $20.00 in parts, barring you have all the tools and glue. Thanks for watching!

Goldtherapy Prospector - Paydirt 2

I decided to try an Ebay Paydirt sample from seller: jbiadventures It seems like a great gift for the beginner prospector or anyone who cannot get out and prospect. Also, don't expect to get rich or even break even buying dirt. If that is your objective just buy gold outright. Thanks for watching!
Goldtherapy Prospector - Paydirt 1

I decided to try some Ebay Paydirt from seller: Alaskagoldpaydirt. First time paydirt buyer so I have nothing to compare it to. It turned up a little color with some nice sized flakes. I would rate it as beginner / easy panner skill level based on size of gold. Based on this experience I may try a few other bags of paydirt. It seems like a great gift for the beginner prospector or anyone who ca...

On trip 5 I visit another Georgia creek for a short time before getting rained out. Luckily I saved some material and ran it 3 weeks later through my homemade highbanker on its maiden voyage. I highlight my design in this video as well as show some great gold for only 2 gallons of material! As always, thanks for watching! -Goldtherapy Prospector

On trip 4 I spend 2 days using the production pan. On day 3 I opt for better gold and scenery by heading to the lower end of Coker Creek for some crevice prospecting. Nothing really eventful took place so there isn't much in terms of prospecting but rather more commentary. Hope you enjoy and I'll try to show more prospecting on my upcoming videos. As always thanks for watching, Goldtherapy Pros...

    Not bad mate. Maybe put a bolt or two through the end to act as a classifier? I actually bought mine after a few failed attempts from spare parts haha but kinda glad I did as its really good imho. Uses a replaceable rubber-foam seal too which works well. Also has four easily interchangeable heads with it which is very habdy for different tasks. Standard 2.5" with bolt classifier, 1" flat for tighter spots, uhh 1" other one can't remember, and one with I think 10 or 15mm steel tube adjustable length for getting in tight deep cracks and such (dont be dirty minded :)):) or sniping type stuff. And a removable "heavys" pot on the side for catching bigger pieces. I think theres even a two way valve and fitting for that part that can turn into into like a hand dredge or water pump going straight to your sluice/highbanker or collection bucket but haven't tried it. Anyway idk thought might give you few ideas for the future? If I had seen and used my one first I probably could've bought the parts and built it myself cheaper but... its their design and they sell them so that'd be dishonest and inconsiderate at best.

    • @daveparks2676
      @daveparks2676 Год назад

      Just about any angle will work . I have had them at a pretty steep one . Think the steeper the better. I also found that the 6 " was the best . And if you have any color farther down than maybe 8 " slow the water down a tad .

    • @daveparks2676

      Also tried a vibrator 8:09 from a recliner . A little harsh . A bat powered one from one of the first white ones worked the best . Worked great ! They are just slow . so plan on some time to a 5 gal bucket . Had mine 3' long They are worth the time to make one . I just happened to see a farmer I knew and ask if I could cut one of his drain pipes in half . So mine was free. Lol used the 3 " deck screw in three places one each side to hold it on the board . Foud that was better then right in the middle. Hope all gobbledygook makes sense to everyone . Lmmo

    i tried the "gutter sluice" last year and found out that i couldnt use it for longer than a buckets worth. because the black plastic wears down and i would begin to get little black pieces of debris in my results. so i changed over to an aluminum dryer exhaust tube.

    Your pump ever get clogged up? That's the main thing that slows me down, I have it recycling into a square tub, and in the middle I have a screen where the pump is on the other side. But then material starts to jamb up on the screen, there is no easy fix.
