Winter ride to Tarbet on the Bobber
Another blue sky winter day so what better to do...Short run up the West side of Loch Lomond to Tarbet for a hot chocolate and a look at the scenery.
This gave me the opportunity to test out my Ghost XL helmet camera and the Insta 360 camera. Two very different cameras with different quality of footage.

Time for some changes to the T100

I told myself I would leave this bike as it is, and for the most part I will....BUT I want to replace the mirrors for a more stock look, I want to try a PUIG windscreen, and I want a luggage system that works with both the T100 and my Bobber SO... I have decided to keep the Hepco & Becker bags and fit them to the T100. #bobber #bonneville #motorbike #triumph #t100 #hepcoandbecker #bikeluggage #...
Is motorbike season really over? Is your bike winterised?

Is biking season really over? This is a term I have heard more and more and winter has fallen, but what is biking season exactly. This is my take on it. I don't do biking season, I plan to ride all year round, but I do put my bikes into a sort of short term storage condition each time I go back to sea. I describe my concerns when leaving my bikes for months at a time, and my method for storage....

    Hey bro I was going todo this on the weekend and I was wondering if you need to tighten to spec or was everything hand tightened

    • @The_Scottish_Biker
      @The_Scottish_Biker 2 месяца назад

      I tightened everything to spec. Sorry I cant remember what the torque values are off the top of my head. I couldn’t find any definitive values from Triumph so I used generic torque values for the size of the bolt. A quick google search will give you a chart with values for different sizes. It is always tempting to go that little extra and over torque but you run the risk of ocer stretching the bolt, weakening it, and possible snapping it. Good luck with the new bars.

    I suspect this might be the issue with my 09 Bonnie. It gets really hot here(40+C) and when I read the OBD freeze data it shut off completely at super high temps and wouldn't start until it got much cooler. Now that it's cooler I can get it to start sometimes and when I'm riding hard it runs but when I'm in neutral or at a stop it wants to die unless I give it a bit of throttle. Might also need a TB sync. Your channel has been a wealth of information. TY sir.

    • @The_Scottish_Biker
      @The_Scottish_Biker 6 месяцев назад

      Do you get any fault codes when reading with the OBD? If its temp related it could well be the ignition position sensor, or the coil. Best thing would be to check if it is still sparking when you are getting a no start situation. Thanks for the positive feedback on the channel. More to come soon. Good luck with the fix.

    Nice video. I put an x-pipe onto my 2021 Speedmaster along with hitchcox short drag pipes. It was brutal, in fact too brutal so I spent the next hour refitting the cat. I love the look of the drag pipes but I think some baffles are needed to stop the engine sounding like a machine gun with the cat removed. The popping and bangining on over-run was stupid too but with the cat back in situ it's now acceptable (to me). Two things to mention, there are a couple of inserts (may be called exhaust gaskets on Triumph Parts Diagrams #16) on the cat to look out for, I managed to crush one so had to buy a replacement which slowed the refitment up a bit. Second point: it's a much much easier job with a bike lift....🙂 I'm still toying with the idea of a DNK tune (ive swapped a few emails with Daniela at DNK Tuneworks) but haven't dived in yet as I'm also considering tinkering with the maps myself through TuneECU. Pleased to see I'm not the only one who paired an x-pipe with short drag pipes and regretted it....!

    • @The_Scottish_Biker
      @The_Scottish_Biker 7 месяцев назад

      I go up and down with it. Its a love hate relationship. I know the exhaust gaskets you mean. I reused the originals but they are a right pain to get on and clamp properly. Have a look at my other videos, there is one there about the DNK map. I agree with the idea of baffles. I am actually thinking to refit the original cans with the X pipe to see how that sounds. A lot of things would be easier with a bike lift… but where is the fun in that 😂
