Not to be a negative Nancy. I don’t think it’s possible to do 13k miles in 3 months with a $50k gross. That’s $3.85 per mile, which no broker is paying. He also claims he bounces back and still averages that rate. Why would a broker pay that when they can find someone to do the load for half the price and make more profit? They’d be stupid and would likely get fired. The shipper would also have to be ignorant to not know market rates and overpay to move their freight. Shippers have hundreds of brokers and carriers contacting them daily with rates. Your story doesn’t add up. I don't want to see folks get mislead. Its very challenging currently to start a new authority and find insurance that's fair and also find work. A lot of brokers require 6 months of active authority to book loads. If you do become a Independent Operator you should expect those challenges and you will need to bust your butt just to make 6k+ a week. The DAT spot for van freight is currently 2.17 a mile. Take that times 3000 miles and you get $6510. The market will get little better when we hit spring/summer.

i started with them about 2 months ago and i guess they did see your video and they definitely improved been here for 2 months and im happy to be honest i only got refused by one broker i forgot who it was maybe emerge if i remeber correctly but other than this its been good i make money noone bothers me when i need them they help me and when i get detention or layover tonu i get the full amount they dont deduct anything from it so they definitely have changed only thing i would say is that they dont have fuel cards and if anything happenes to you they wont give you an advance thats the only complain i have

When y’all find out how cloud trucks raping you undercover you will run You can never talk to anyone and they will duplicate your expenses and tolls if you run any with the tag , they will duplicate charges from the beginning to take your escrow in the end so watch the amount that you paid because they will label it differently in the end but leave the amount the same that is how I caught them, SAVAGE, Run so many more issues, guaranteed revenue program that drivers never see, if you ask someone to stop a 15 dollar deduction for 3 weeks and escrow deduction so you can catch your footing and they say NO and then they tell you I will give you guaranteed money if you run miles and you don’t make it, red flag Black CEO no black office people from what I have seen, I worked almost everyday and the fees allowed me to pay for fuel to pick up the next load because different people were duplicating fees, I have screenshots of wrong doing with these people who tried to take my escrow and I worked hard to make sure everything was paid till the end and still have records it was and they are still trying to take my money

Just happen to me, wasted a whole day. Brooker just needed CT insurance information, book a good paying load. This load would of got me home in time spent Thanksgiving with my family. They put the Brooker on hold so long he hung up, gave me another chance to get what he needed. They failed I lost the load. Now I'm looking at other truck companies. I'm in a business of time and time is money.

I was there at the Jax terminal location over 10 unbelievably uneventfully sad years before last years departure. I blame myself for hanging in there so long. Everything went to pot there besides the horrible freight recession. The new company who came in to maintain trailers was the final nail in the coffin for me though I was already on the way out. If I had to do it again I would get my act together and go full owner op but never in this freight situation going on til present.

One more thing jb hunt will screw you if it says 0 deadhead miles it's wrong they hide that double check everything on jb hunt loads sometimes they drop the trailer for 3days leave you hanging..ch Robinson pays ok I don't do landstar Amazon takes forever to get in..pays the same...not sure it's worth it they push and load to the top careful you'll flip over. Tql paperwork and load is smooth as ice never a bad time ...but pays a little light ..it works though when things are smooth ..problem. is can only book one load a day so you need a different broker and watch out they don't collide..cargill loads beef prices been light lately all reefer loads require a lumper don't do reefers not worth it. Fuel is why .there's alot of brokers if you use a dispatch service you'll regret it.. book your own ..steelhead is my factoring they list what brokers are bad.. hay sucks.but it's money.some places won't load you after you haul hay get 2 long air hoses that reach inside to the front of trailer and blow that hay and the smell out so your not rejected coke and Pepsi don't like hay. Use straps not load bars get a trailer you can use straps. .just grab one you'll get another someplace I think I got about 80 by now ..theres more but if I gave all my secrets I'd be here 20years gotta go peace ✌️
