Crater of the Moon: Moon Landscape on Earth: Uniquely Alien: Idaho
Thanks to the USA National Parks Service this most alien of landscapes, reminiscent of the surface of the Moon, is accessible to mere mortals!
This unique geological wonder covers a surface area of 618 square miles and is located in the State of Idaho.
The formation of this alien landscape began around 15,000 years ago, when molten magma under great pressure burst through, creating fissures along the 62 mile long Snake Plain Great Rift.
Imagine curtains of molten lave under pressure being forced through fissures, high into the sky, falling and solidifying,
creating multiple lava flows and other types of volcanic features.
As the pressure in the magma dropped the eruptions ceased.

I have serious reservations about the age of the Petrified Forest. The entire region is misdated by a factor of 100.

The head is much too narrow and the body too slim to be a rattlesnake. My guess would be a gopher snake.
Disgusting video. Elephant bodies are only designed to carry their own weight - not the weight of tourists. Elephants at riding camps, who are forced to carry tourists around day in and day out, very often suffer from permanent spinal damage and agonizing injuries to their backs, legs and feet.
