      Thanks for your feedback! Sometimes certain emotions are difficult for us to feel and experience as there might be beliefs or conditioning preventing us to feel them. If possible you could explore this further with a therapist in individual sessions to explore the disgust and what’s possibly underneath it!

    Hi Melani, A doubt.. these exercises.. helps my nervous system to expand and hold more rite ?? somatic therapy kinda does that right.. when we feel the feeling and allow the feeling and slowly create cappacitity to hold.. it is the nervous system that gradually expands is it ?

      Dear Anushka, yes somatic exercises help you to expand the capacity holding emotions better, therefore not feeling as overwhelmed by them and being able to release them again! Thereby we help the nervous system to regulate itself better again and not being stuck in a fight/ flight or freeze state! As well as training the body to feel positive emotions better, creating more space to hold it for longer. So it's rather expanding the capacity within the body whilst the nervous system is the part regulating these states and emotions. Hope that makes sense! 🌻😇

      @nwadynasty0 There might be different reasons for that...however I think you would benefit doing this or similar exercises more regularly as sometimes we need to retrain the body feeling positive, loving emotions again as we are so used to being in a negative, deflated energy...

      Thats interesting. You should definitely explore that more! I also suggest that working with a somatic therapist, aka a regulated nervous system, might help to get more to the bottom of things!

Somatic Therapist.. taking a break to save some money cause constantly spending on therapy didnt make me feel safe.. so for a while taking a break and mean while getting the help i need from your exercises.     Melani... As a single girl living alone and having no one around to have my back.. off lately i have been having this sense of unsafety around men.. specially men who are security guards and those level of men.. whom i have to deal with every day... it makes me feel like i wanna hide and be in a tent... dont feel like holding myself confident.. and i dont know where its coming from.. last six months have been a struggle to handle this and ive been doing most of your exercise for FEAR,,, stil.. im unable to brush it off...im also attracting a lot of situations thats confirming that fear.. is there any exercise thats specific for this type of fear ?? its making me gain weight and unable to loose weight

There you could explore where this fear might be coming from and working through the different layers of feelings you are experiencing when in these situations!       Hi Anushka! A somatic exercise marathon is always a good idea! 😉😉 Just use your discernment how many exercises feel good for you! And give enough time after to let everything integrate and be kind and mindful to yourself! Also it makes sense to work on specific themes more intensely so if certain exercises feel very good and transformative for you, you can redo them to train the body memory on those specific themes! 😇 Enjoy!!

    Hello mam... Thank you so much for this video.. Just before seeing this i was so much heavy on my heart...but now I feel much lighter... Thanks...Mam.. Actually my mother is going through schizophrenia and she has some trust issues so she can't be left alone or with someone else so for her i had to leave my job... But it's really hard time..to handle her and me both..my childhood had been quite traumatic so even in normal situation if something upsets me I am unable to control my anger... And now I am in such a situation that my mom is effort less to come out of her situation and I am stuck without job and totally helpless... And these situation really irritates, frustrates me that my anger is going to next level...I am unable to get out of my home without my mother and she doesn't want to step out of home... And my anger and frustration have now converted into rage.. I feel so bad I don't have words to describe my emotions... Please mam can you help in this... I am 24x7 in this situation and my physical and mental health is also suffering.... Can u help me and Guide me how to handle this and also how to calm my rage down in that particular moment... Please mam Help🙏

      Hi mehta, ive been listening to Melanis videos... try the ones for IRITATION and also try her exercise on from OVERWHELMING FEELING to EASE. this will really help you change your situation.. trust me.. keep doing it.. everytime you keep exercises for being in ease.. you will start experiencing that in your life.... Im from srilanka.. you can reply to me here. Alsooo why not you find a job where you can work from home and collect some money... and get a lady to look after you mom atelast for a few hours in a day. So you will get some break. Or try to do some work handcraft .. cooking osmething to earn a little money so you can support your self and also get someone to look after your mom atleast for a few hours or for a day.and keep doing atlest one exercise of melanis... that will help your childhood trauma tooo.. hope this helps... I dont know its correct for me to do this but i thouhgt i will share some thoughts... Please dont loose hope and please put your self first.. and see if you can meet a friend.. ask a friend ot come home to talk.. try something fun... create a nice environment at home and create a nice space for you at home so you wont feel stressed

Actually I had tried appointing a care taker for my mother but she has trust issues and due to that she gets more frequent episodes.. And yes I have applied for work from home too but not yet got job..hoping to get one... Let's see... And regarding friend.. Every one is busy in their life and whenever I meet them or talk to them I really feel left out and way more back in my life... So I avoid them.. because after that my emotions really overwhelm me...       @nmehta3344 Hello dear, I can sense you feeling helpless and overwhelmed by your situation, and the first thing I want you to remember is that there is hope, that you can change things & the way you feel and transform your circumstances, even if it might not seem like that at the moment. My aim when creating these videos was to provide a free resource when you are feeling overwhelmed with your emotions and feelings. And as Anushka wrote, doing these exercises regularly, at least 2 times a day, will help you to balance your feelings of rage & anger and regulate your nervous system. Do some research online what options there could be! Also finding some support groups with people who deal with the same issues within the family! It is vital for you to reach out to family and friends to get them involved and distribute some of the responsibility you are currently carrying! And creating some time and space for yourself: doing something you love, doing exercise or art, having a walk in nature, consciously making the effort to make time for yourself and your wellbeing! Also what has Anushka has replied is very good advice! I hope that will help you as a first step!

    Wow! I saw pictures coming up from a childhood trauma after doing hatha yoga today & was practicing being present with it how I learned it from you. That helped but only got me so far. Then I remembered this video & did it! Your guidance helped me dive even deeper & let go even more. When we were to feel the opposite of the trauma I saw a goddess, aphrodite, I felt beauty, ease, relaxed, savety, love & respected. I was able to enjoy slowness. Wow that was beautiful! Thank you! ❤❤❤

    Wow this was fantastic. Thank you! Just what I needed. Subscribed! I will go through your channel for more of your videos. One part (in addition to the psoas area) where I always feel unsafe is my neck and jaw. Because of chronic stress and burnout they are always in a fight/flight mode. Can I do this same exercise with those parts of my body, holding them and reassuring that I’m safe and at home?

Regarding the jaw and neck pain: I think it would be a great idea to assure these body parts with ‚You are safe‘ or even something like ‚I see you/ I care for you and you are safe‘ and observing how it feels! Another possibility could be to expand the feeling from a body part that easily feels safe and then directing it into the jaw and neck area.. Let me know how it goes! 😊

    Thankyouu melani for some of us who have experienced anxiety trauma and tightness .... holding happiness is a challenge and as much as we heal trauma we also should do somatic work to hold positive emotions and happiness and joy and light feeling .... which is a challenge

      Yes it is a challenge and it does take some time and practice to stay with positive emotions for longer... As we have been conditioned through our experiences and expectations that it is so much more familiar and in a way more comfortable to stay with tightness, tension, negative sensations and emotions and its almost too much staying with joy and happiness... You chose to be on this journey of healing! You should be proud!
