the stupid thoughts and ideas that I come up with.
The PAC-12's Comeback is a Bigger Deal Than You Think
Recently, the PAC-12 has announced that they will be adding San Diego State, Colorado State, Boise State and Fresno State to join Oregon State and Washington State. Despite being smaller schools, this shift could very well change the course of many other conferences like the Mountain West, ACC, Conference USA and even the Sun Belt and alter the entire landscape of College Football as we know it.

The NCAA Has Agreed to Pay Student Athletes
Просмотров 1295 месяцев назад
For decades, college athletes have been making their universities millions of dollars, and today they will finally be paid for the services they provide. In this video, I discuss the situation with the NCAA and the Power Conferences settling a deal to pay back former players and set up a revenue-sharing system to begin paying current and future athletes.

What's The Deal With Minor League Football??
Awesome video! I do think if they ever tried to get better at football again, I believe FCS Ivy League in the playoffs would do fine
Yale was Alabama back in the day
This is a great thought exercise even if most of the suggestions sound implausible. And there’s one more thing I’d like to add. The FBS won’t accept any teams that still has a track around their field. I love Penn’s Franklin Field but, as home to the Penn Relays, nothing higher than FCS football will be played here.
If you wanna add an MLB team, I feel like the obvious pick here is Salt Lake City. They have a big sports market and culture with a history of successful established teams with the Utah Jazz and Real Salt Lake, and it just got the NHL team the Coyotes. I've often read that SLC could never get an NFL team because a large portion of the population wouldn't go to the Sunday games because of religious reasons. But i don't see that being a problem for an MLB team.
Who’s here after he retired?
It's sad. But smart of him to hang it up and stay healthy.
Me, he wasn’t that great for us anyway
Well Cornell’s Insane at lax
these are the teams that should be in the NBA Eastern North Atlanta Hawks Miami Heat Tampa Tigers Jacksonville Sharks Birmingham Rams New York Knicks Boston Celtics Buffalo Suns Albany Flags Providence Flowers Columbia Falcons Wilmington Panthers Wilmington Jets Philadelphia 76ers Pittsburgh Jayhawks Greensboro Raptors Northern Cincinnati Tigers Cleveland Orange Columbus Hawks Chicago Bulls Milwaukee Bucks St Louis Falcons Kansas City Chargers Minneapolis Birds St Paul Rams Detroit Pistons Indianapolis 49ers Des Moines Hawkeyes Toronto Raptors Montreal Buckeyes Omaha Nebraskans Ottawa Canadians Southern Birmingham Falcons Memphis Grizzlies Dallas Mavericks Fort Worth Wolves Houston Tigers San Antonio Lions Oklahoma City Predators Tulsa Bruins El Paso Cowboys Nashville Kings Jackson Chargers Little Rock Titans Amarillo Giants New Orleans Pirates Shreveport Clippers Austin Rams Western Phoenix Suns Los Angeles Clippers Las Vegas Chargers San Diego Rams San Francisco Tigers Sacramento Kings Portland Bruins Seattle Chargers Salt Lake City Bluffs Albuquerque Mexicans Denver Mustangs Vancouver Hawks Calgary Flames Tijuana Sharks Honolulu Pacificans Ciudad Juarez Mexicans
CTE is real. Dude should’ve stopped at Mullet and Coastal Carolina. It’s CJ’s team . Grayson was a rental that can’t drive.

Honestly the IVY League (Along with the SWAC) can make the FCS more Fun ,interesting and engaging.
an nba or nfl team is louisville is so unlikely but that would be the greatest thing ever🙏
I’ve felt for awhile that Montreal would be perfect for an NBA team. If they were to play in the Bell centre, they’d have the largest stadium in the NBA. Basketball is already the second biggest sport in Canada. Having Montreal as a bi-lingual market would help basketball in becoming more popular in French-speaking Quebec and Acadia.
A lot of Canadians contribute to both Detroit and Buffalo. (especially for the NFL) I grew up in Hamilton and a lot of people including myself support either the bills or sabres or both. I’ve crossed the border many times to watch live games for both sports.
The club should hire you instead of just coming out with a lame diagonal Utah.
What about the blue Sox. And the colors would be Carolina blue, black, and white
Yeah like the other comment said... He definitely has PCS symptoms he's less than year removed from that head trauma. You can tell his processing is slow...Concussion are pretty insane what they can do and are seemingly invisible. It could be as simple as he has Occipital Nerve damage and his vision translates a "Little delayed" and only time heals those things.
It’s fort Bragg fight me
NFL - Toronto - San Antonio or Austin - San Diego - St. Louis NBA - Seattle - Las Vegas MLB - lots of choices...Charlotte? Nashville? Austin? NHL - Portland - Milwaukee - Quebec City - Hamilton #NeverAtlanta #NevaATL
Zero chance the mountain west takes Sac state. Incredibly tiny basketball arena for a conference that prides itself on be the best of the Mid-majors.
I'm thinking UNLV, maybe then they add Rice, Memphis, and Tulane I think Cal and Stanford's high academic standards have always been an issue in conference realignment for those programs, schools like BYU in Boise were always in conversation for the Pac 12 but shot down by Stanford and Cal, so I doubt those two programs want to join, they might eventually join in a pretty distant future, and I think with the Mountain West obviously New Mexico State and UTEP will be added, but they're going to have to backfill likely 6 members maybe even 7 if Hawaii feels like leaving for independence, Sac State or UC Davis for the California fill, Idaho and the Montana schools have been pretty competitive, I doubt any Dakota school is going to move up.
Saying sunbelt is the best g5 and that this dude was the best g5 qb for 3 years should be a federal crime lmao love your videos bro but this was a really bad take
it did not age well lol- but u can't deny he was a dawg at Coastal back when the Sun Belt was stronger than they are now.
Before Jayden Daniels last year set the record, do you know who the NCAA single season efficiency rating record holder was? You're looking at him.
UNLV will go to the Pac Air Force to the American North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Montana, Montana State, and Sacramento State go to FBS and the MWC
Lynnwood 😈 Brian- Seattle deserves their Supersonic's back most definitely back!
This pathetic "rebranding" of pac12 with primarily mountain west teams is a joke...pac12 will never be a power conference again after losing its top 4 schools (wash ore ucla and sc)...anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. They'll be competing for a Group of 5 football playoff bid every year starting in 2026....pac12 died along with Bill Walton....sad.
Is this going to be the power five conference because it’s basically a glorified mountain west conference with the addition of Oregon State and Washington state… And I’m from Utah but Utah state is not a power five school.
I don't think anyone is arguing that. It makes sense on USU's part (despite so clearly being fairly close to the bottom on desirability) now that those four schools that previously left broke the MW. Yeah, the Pac is now just a new MW, but the remaining MW was a shell. No BSU or SDSU means that competing there was a step backward. I think this is the last helicopter out of Saigon. (also from Utah, USU grad)
Bro not even TWO DAYS after dropping this video and everything’s changed. Utah State just joined the PAC and it’s looking like UNLV could follow in the near future. Y’all want another video on this topic with some more bad takes? 👀
seeing the beavers and cougars mascot being homies made me happy for some reason
If ACC gets raided I could see a northeast conference forming I would love to see a new big east conference. Syracuse, Pitt, BC, VT, Louisville from ACC. New comers WV, UConn, umass, temple, Buffalo, Toledo, Miami (OH). If Louisville goes to big 12 App state.
Go apps!!! Love the vid
#1 Just stop with the Standford and Cal stuff. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. One big problem that the uninformed seem to keep missing. Standford and Cal have signed that iron clad ACC Grant of Rights. There is no way Standford and Cal are going to pay, much less be able to pay the enormous exit fees to leave the ACC. It's called the "death penalty clause" for a reason. If schools like Florida St and Clemson can't get out, neither can Stanford or Cal. I guarantee you, Stanford and Cal took travel costs into consideration and they would not have made the move, if it wasn't going to be cost positive. #2 You lost all credibility with this one. You are absolutely insane, if you think current Big 12 and especially B1G schools, including former Pac schools would even consider dropping down to the Pac 12. Yes, I said dropping down. There no way "NO WAY" the Pac can make it lucrative enough for those schools. The Pac lost it's Autonomous 5 (power 5) status and it will be nearly impossible to get it back. The Pac 12 cannot even guarantee a media contract, much less one that will be competitive. In fact, before they collapse, the Pac 12 couldn't even secure a media rights deal that was comparable to the Big 12 and that wasn't streaming only. They are just hoping to get more dollars than the American, which doesn't seem too likely either. For anyone to leave the Big 12 or B1G now, they would have to pay enormous exit fees (not as bad as ACC schools, but yeah, big money none the less). You do understand, there is this thing called Grant of Rights? All those schools that moved to the Big 12 and B1G, just like the ones that moved to the ACC, all had to sign Grant of Rights to their respective new conferences. All those schools are locked in for multiple years now. #3 The Pac 12's next four top targets were Memphis, UTSA, Tulane, and USF. It was in fact confirmed that those schools at least had conversations with the Pac 12 and that the Pac 12 wanted them. Unfortunately for the Pac 12, it was just confirmed today, that those schools have effectively rejected the Pac 12 as they have collectively and jointly issued a statement, recommitting to the AAC, sighting that the Pac 12 cannot guarantee more money and they would have to pay exit fees in the neighborhood of $25 million each. You, that thing called Grant of Rights, which locks schools into a conference until the media rights contracts are back up for negotiation. #4 On top of all the above, the MWC has promised all it's remaining members more money and an extra revenue bonus for UNLV and Air Force. As of today, at least one school (Air Force) has publicly committed to the MWC. Again, you guessed it, due to the Pac 12 not being able to promise more revenue. In fact Navigate has come and said that the Pac 12 cannot even be properly valued without know how many members it will have, who the members will be, or if they will even have enough members to remain an FBS conference in football. #5 With all the latest news, the Pac 12 needs to be concerned about how they are going to keep SDSU, Fresno St, Boise St, and Colorado St committed to joining the conference in 2026. None of those schools have signed their Grant of Rights over to the Pac 12 yet. They can simply change their minds or maybe even look toward the AAC. In fact, the ACC is currently the best media rights deal out of the current G5/6 conferences. The Pac 12 now need to be careful that it's potential new members don't go knocking on that door and that the ACC doesn't try to work something out with ESPN to get a little more money to snipe those schools.
Calm down son it’s just a silly little video
Not one iota of truth here. Money talks. Period.
Pac 2 should take UTEP...cougar beaver love mIners....
The pac 12 era is dead. It will take about a generation or two before the pac conference will be relevant again. Sad but true.
Stanford & California won't join the new PAC. The ACC looks like it is stabilizing a little based on recent reports. So everything looks safe for them. I agree that UConn should join the ACC but I also think the Big 12 would be a great fit as well. Personally, I think MW grabs New Mexico St & UTEP from CUSA, and then grabs the Montana schools. As for the PAC I think they should look at Rice, Memphis, & Tulane from the American (brings them to 9) and then decide whether they want to grab Texas State (from Sun Belt) or keep moving east and grab South Florida or Alabama Birmingham. This would bring them to 10 and make them the top Group6 conference. Finally, the Big 12 and ACC should make the Backyard Brawl (Pitt / West Virginia) a yearly rivalry game every year... honestly one of my favorite football rivalries in college sports (Red River is my favorite). They could do the same with Cincinnati and Louisville too.
Hawaii might join the pac 12 in a couple of years
They will go independent and try to get a late season game or two at home against P4 teams like decades ago
San Jose State & Hawaii both should & ought to be in the Pac 12.
Uhm...NO 😅
Bro really looks like his profile pic lmfao
good insights loved the ideas my man
The Pac 12 will be the new AAC. This was the best possible outcome (short of a Big 12 invite) for Washington St and Oregon St. For the past couple of decades, there has usually been a G5 conference that is head and shoulders above the rest. One that (at least in good years) would try to claim it was as good or better than the weakest Power/BCS conference. In the 2000's it was the MWC headlined by TCU, BYU , and Utah. Once those 3 left the conference and the Big East was dissolved, The AAC was formed, gathering in the remains of the Big East and the best G5 teams east of the Rocky Mountains. With the AAC losing 4 of its best programs to the recent P4 expansion, there was no longer a G5 conference able to pick up that mantle. Enter the new PAC 12. Lets be honest. The Pac 12 is never going to become a power conference. You are not getting P4 teams to leave their conferences to go to your G5 conference. And to be honest, that is OK. In my opinion, the purpose for the PAC 12 (from the standpoint of the teams, not the conference) is to be a stepping stool to get into a better conference. Look at the conferences the newest P4 schools were pulled from. 2024: SMU from the AAC 2023: Cincinnati, Houston, UCF from the AAC. BYU from independent, after leaving the MWC. 2014: Louisville and Rutgers from the AAC 2012: TCU from the MWC. 2011: Utah from the MWC. In the past 14 years, 9 schools have moved up from G5 to P4. 8 of them came from the premier G5 conference at the time. BYU was the only exception, but they played 7 P5 opponents in their last year as an Independent. "To be the best, you have to beat the best" All 6 of the teams in the Pac 12 want to be in a Power Conference. Their best chance is to be at the top of best G5 conference, beat a couple of P4 teams each year, and then get picked up in the next round of expansion. The Pac 12 will be these team's best vehicle for achieving this. While I would like for the West coast to have its own power conference, without the West Coast's biggest programs, that is not going to happen. Forming a new Pac 12 and making it the new pinnacle G5 conference best option for these teams, especially Oregon St and Washington St.
I believe the Pac6 will be the foundation of the western division of a new “national” conference. A successful competitor to the Big10 and SEC needs to have teams spread across the country enabling their tv partner(s) to have programming across all time zones while still maintaining regionality for the economic operation of the other sports. My only question is whether the Big12 or ACC will figure this out first.
First of all for all intensive purposes, the Big 12 is already a National conference. They now spread nearly coast to coast. There are not any combination of schools left for the Pac 12 to even get back on par with the Big 12 or ACC as of right now. When the ACC eventually implodes, then yeah, the Pac 12 and ACC might be competing to build the top G5/G6 conference, since their top brands will go to the SEC and B1G, with there second tier brands likely going to the Big 12. Secondly, becoming a National conference was exactly what was in the Pac 12's game plan. To do that, their next targets needed to be the top four brands in the AAC. That is in fact what they were doing. It was confirmed that conversations had been had and that the Pac 12's next four targets for expansion were Memphis, UTSA, Tulane, and USF. Unfortunately for the Pac 12, those four schools effectively rejected the Pac 12 today, for collectively/jointly recommitting to the AAC publicly, sighting multiple reasons, most notably the $25 million exit fees they each would have to pay and more importantly the fact that the Pac 12 cannot guarantee they would receive more revenue than they currently receive in the AAC.
They need to get 2 more schools to stay a conference!
Hopefully they get Oregon and USC or UCLA back
@@rileyholden-zc9ip They're not getting those teams... lol. Start looking at teams in the American Conference to join the new PAC. Teams like Tulane, Rice, & Memphis. Those three have a better chance at join the PAC than Oregon, USC or UCLA.
@@Chronic_Gainz Breaking news today was that Memphis, UTSA, Tulane, and USF have collectively rejected the Pac 12. Their statement included sighting the $25 million in exit fees they would each have to pay the AAC to leave and that the Pac 12 could not guarantee a revenue increase for joining the conference.
@@rileyholden-zc9ip That's delusional thinking. Never going to happen, not even in fantasy land.
@@clintlewis1715 yeah I just saw that myself. I have no clue who the PAC targets now. lol
Cal and Stanford signed GOR and Stanford has money to burn. Cal is well funded and receives calimony from UCLA. UCLA is more on a lifeboat than Cal. Besides all that Cal and Stanford are soooo snobby, egocentric and stuck up they would never play or in the same conference as Fresno State nor be seen as a peer institute as Boise State. Trust when I say this… they rather fold up their sports then rejoin with the likes of Pac12.
Kennesaw State is already in the CUSA…
You said "Utah" but you are showing clips of "Utah St."
Surprised no mention of the Montana schoola
UMass is joining the MAC :|
You think Stanford cares about a $10m-$15m football media deal when they have a $250 million research endowment? No do they not. Stanford left the PAC because they wanted to be in another conference that cares about academics, because thats what the majority of their money is actually in. Cal is in a similar position, except a lot lower monetary value. Its bit more complicated but with UCLA going to the B10 they severed the UC endowment program, but Cal now owns the majority of this which is worth about $140 million in research endowment. So in other words you could give them SEC media deal and would it worth less than what they currently make if choose academics over sports. They aint leaving. Also its been a week already that the ACC, Clemson and FSU are already back to negotiating returning to the conference. Theres a possibility a split may occur but it looks like the earliest this will take place is 2030. Therefore its unlikely to see either A. teams leaving the ACC prior to 2030, and B. teams joining the ACC before then as this would dillute the revenue distribution and cause issue with Clemson and FSU. Furthermore there really arent any other remaining programs that could afford to pay their way into the ACC like SMU did and other programs dont have the endowments to take a pay cut.
@@MattBuild4 exactly. People are just using this narrative without any knowledge. I don’t blame them for their ignorance as they’re not up to date with schools they don’t follow, however, the strong opinions about why they would hypothetically want to come back being so wrong are getting out of hand
Interesting.
