The Aranara quest is so good it's a shame so many people say it's bad because it's too long and not voiced instead of giving it a fair try because the story is so good I got so attached to them

People who hate aranara quest probably the same person who demanding skip button. aranara quest is so well writen, aranara itself is important for sumeru world building it feels lifely and not empty<3

Since you met the strongest being in the entirety of Teyvat, Arabalika, did you know that around the time the game came out a Concept map of all the nations came out and even though right now in game it doesn't look anything like it did in the concept there was still planned to be an area in the south-east corner called "Arabalika's fight club" so this little dude has been planned even before the game came out.

If I remember correctly, this was the event where a Fatui NPC (mirror maiden???) recognises us from a certain memo that has been circulated among the Fatui, describing Traveler & Paimon as threats, advising soldiers to steer clear of us

Fun Fact#96 : Did you know, Navia's gun and Chevreuse's musket have realistic sound effects with distance? In co-op, you hear a clear gun shot sound effect if your friend fires either of those weapons near you. But if you listen to the shot from far away, the shot is muffled and echoed realistically.

If you not aware gebshin summer event 2.7 is a whole new patch, So the event is break patch before jump into next stage patch 3. It's worth 2 month of content, and time gated for 3 or 4 weeks.

With regards to the length: event quests are deliberately staggered/timegated by Hoyoverse with 2-day intervals in between quest portions, specifically so they don't feel as overwhelming and people don't burn themselves out as easily. Summer events are particularly long because they span the entire patch and are usually the only major content of note within the patch - there's a temporary explorable area, a main quest line that's released over a week or two, usually around 4 minigames, and a small handful of reasonably sized sidequests. When you stitch the full main story together it's 4 hours, but people had the entire 6 week patch to do it, so it wasn't as overwhelming as it seems from your end right now! All that being said I'm so happy you watched this one. It's my personal favorite of the summer events so far, and is tied with "Parade of Providence" (a Sumeru event) for my favorite story event. I really love that it acted as a mini story quest of sorts for digging into characters' psyches and really wouldn't mind if Hoyo dreamed up some pretext for doing this with more characters on a rotating basis.

I've gotta say genshin events developer's are over qualified they do THIISSSS much work for a limited time event that goes away quickly

Kazuha has more character story here than in his story quest

Caught up at last! (Well, with the exception of the summer event, which went up while I was watching this, but close enough to count, I think!) Apologies for the essay. It's mostly advice on the most important stuff to do before Fontaine (since there is a LOT of content in Sumeru), and I've done my best to keep things vague and non-spoilery, only mentioning a general reason it might be advisable to do something, or what character it introduces (since you've mentioned you dislike meeting characters in the 'wrong' place/order compared to how they were initially introduced). And of course this is just advice, all decisions are 100% yours! This was such a delight to watch through, Sumeru and Fontaine have the most peak archon quests in the game and I really love how Sumeru's story portrayed individual pre-existing relationships becoming a cohesive network of characters that know each other. By the end of it almost all the characters have had some sort of arc, even NPCs like Rahman and Setaria and Dunyarzad, and it was supremely satisfying. And Scaramouche, my darling traumatized puppet, human in more ways that he lets himself believe. Then all the juicy lore drops on top of that, with the Descenders and Irminsul! Truly the Archon quest that keeps on giving. I'm glad you're picking up on so much of it, it's an absolute joy to watch you uncover this world and its lore. The amount of times you say 'but what about [x]?' right before it's mentioned is hilarious, but I'm so glad the game is giving you answers lmao. Although we're now getting to the point where some of the things you wonder about are things that still haven't been answered, even after Natlan. Truly a sign that you're catching up! It's always fun watching someone play Kaveh's introduction scene, he is truly the character of all time. And ah, Alhaitham and Kaveh...I love them so. Kaveh is truly the enrichment in Alhaitham's scholarly enclosure. I highly encourage you to do a deep dive into their story profiles and any story content that features them someday, even if you need a wiki visit for Alhaitham's profile - Kaveh has surprising depth for a 4*, and his story and Alhaitham's are woven together beautifully, though you only ever get the full backstory in their profiles. You have a LOT of world quest content you can do before Fontaine if you want, and they're all fantastic. At an absolute minimum I would recommend doing the "Khvarena of Good and Evil" world quest in the very northern part of the Sumeru desert (even more north than the giant sandstorm!) before moving onto Fontaine. It will give you some useful context for Fontaine. The other world quests are all very much worth your time at some point, but doing them later wouldn't feel as much like they're 'out of order' in regards to the main plot. The Aranara questline is absolutely worth finishing if you haven't yet (I'm not caught up on the VOD channel so maybe you have?) The extremely long "Golden Slumber" questline and its follow-ups (some of which are a little obscure to find and/or are time-gated by a real-life day) are phenomenal and will give you more lore on the desert and its inhabitants, and I think you'd really love some of the gameplay aspects, but much like the Aranara quest, it requires some pacing to get through. It was released over multiple patches, so it's definitely not meant to be done as a sprint, and some of the major quests in the chain will assume there's been a time gap since the last one as if you were playing through them as they released (months apart). If/when you play this one, don't be afraid to ask comments for guidance on how to continue if you get lost. As far as events...there are two I'd say are best seen before Fontaine: "Duel! The Summoner's Summit!" (introduces your first Fontaine character) and "Secret Summer Paradise" (the summer event). I'd watch these two *just* before Fontaine, if you plan to watch other events as well! "Graven Innocence" (takes place around the start of the Sumeru archon quest) and "Windblume's Breath" round out a beloved Sumeran character's arc (but I would recommend finding versions with 'mute Tighnari' to watch if you can, as those events used his old voice actor, who many fans wish to avoid due to his behavior). "Parade of Providence" develops some less frequently seen Sumeru characters as well as featuring some faves. I'd recommend watching it after watching "Fabulous Fungus Frenzy" (if you plan to watch it), after doing Layla's hangout (if you're doing it), after doing Faruzan's hangout (if you're doing it), but _before_ doing Kaveh's hangout (if you're doing it), to keep things in chronological order. It's one of my favorite events in the history of the game! I'd just love to see you react to any flagship event though! There are a few not mentioned above like "Fabulous Fungus Frenzy" (introduces Layla) and The Exquisite Night Chimes" (3.4 Lantern Rite w/ Liyue lore) that I really loved. "Of Ballads and Brews" would get you some more time with the Mondstadt cast (introduces Mika, gives a small but very intriguing crumb or two of lore about a character you'll meet later), and "Akitsu Kimodameshi" is a nice and fairly short story if you'd like to go back and see your Inazuman friends again (but doesn't contain a ton of wider world-applicable lore). But truly, it's a pleasure to watch you discover the world of Teyvat and its delightful inhabitants, and I will enjoy watching you play it as long as you're enjoying playing, so make whatever choices you think will make you happiest!

I don't know if anyone caught this, but when they were in the tavern, Venti intentionally drugged Kazuha. Because of his sensitivity to the wind, he would have been able to listen in on the conversation about Alice.

Man, I remember how much fun I had playing this event, just like you I keep trying to analyze how the story will be related to the next region we'll be going through, and you would not believe how shocked I get when I rewatch these after completing the newer Archon Quests, with all the details that are revealed in mind... Some fun facts from this event that I think you would enjoy: 1:25:12 Here you can see the Electro Seelie that starts guiding us, if you pay close attention you'll realize it symbolizes Kazuha's dead friend (in case you forgot: he was the owner of the Electro Vision he had in the main story). You'll notice that Electro Seelies tend to infuse Electro to the characters when you get close enough (like at 1:25:26); if you were using Kazuha, like in this case, you could swirl Electro without applying it with another character beforehand during the fights. It always fascinated me how Genshin managed to add such a special detail of Kazuha's friend helping him, while he was escaping and when going against Raiden, integrated in this event's gameplay. 10/10 mechanic imo. As well as being another case of a Seelie representing a dead character in the game... 1:50:34 I'm not sure if you were aware of this, but in the first Golden Apple Event in 1.6, the musical series of islands actually were a hidden puzzle. So this was a really fun way of incorporating a previous mechanic in the map into the main story of this event. Honestly, the way they repurposed the whole map of the Golden Apple Archipelago and made it its own thing without losing its magic is what made this event event better. Props to the game devs! 2:40:58 you don't see it much in the video, but Fischl's island had A LOT of puzzles with the raven statues involved. Most of them involved them acting a scene and we had to pay attention to the plot intently to guess the prompt by the end. A lot of them also acted like certain NPCs in Mondstadt too. There was a whole quest where we helped make an entire play with the ravens. It was incredible! and funny lol 3:01:14 Here in this combat bit, we were given the trial characters, but Fischl didn't have Oz as her Elemental Skill (you could only use her normal and charged attacks)! Another small yet incredible detail to take into account. At the end of the quest, Venti was actually on the Archipelago as an NPC until you teleported to another location. You couldn't interact with him or anything, but he turned to look at you when you passed by. Sounds kinda creepy as I'm writing it, but I'm still trying to figure out why he was there... During this whole event you could talk to him at the roof of the Cat's Tail, but not in the Archipelago. Makes me wonder if it was some sort of mirage, considering the plot. He never fails to troll us huh As an aside comment, I was looking for the pictures I took of mirage-Venti (as I like to call him) and remembered this event was the first time I saw a double rainbow in Genshin! Good times, good times... (sorry for the long comment oop- it kind of happened organically because of the length of the video, i guess hehe)

3:01:16 Interesting Fact about this set of Trial characters: The trial Fischl was unable to use her skill or burst as they both used Oz. She could still apply Electro via aimed shots. To my recollection, this is the only standard character trial which took away abilities from a character.

This event burned out a lot of people at the time, it was in a shorter patch after the forever Ayaka banner, which is a pity since it's such an amazing everything.

i did the same just to get danjin copies and ended up getting the 5 star in the process lol. I stopped at S5 though, cause she will likely pop up again off banner anyway.

2:14:43 - Yeah, it was easy to fall off from the top of the islands right into cut scenes. You can see characters falling in the distance in other people's play-trough's. 😂

If it was me, I'd always play along with Fischl. ❤
