    The Harley riders aren’t jealous, trust me. I’ve ridden them all (tourers) and can tell you they are all great bikes. The reason the argument can be made amongst them, is each does it differently. It simply comes down to personal preference. For me the 24 Glides are emotional, visceral, and uniquely beautiful. The wing is absurdly competent, no doubt, but it’s a Honda in every way, good and a little bit of yawn. 🥱 The K bike is Teutonic to the nines. IYKYK. Can Am Spyder, amazing machine, but again, depends on your preference and riding needs. It’s not an interstate mile muncher like the cycles are. Yeah, I left out the Indian on purpose, forgettable in this field. The rest don’t even matter in the market.

    Most don't realize how comfy some Adventure Bikes are. That's a pretty good runner up to the GoldWing. Nice Ride & Vlog. Is your BMW M100R about the same as Suzuki's Katana?

    For me the Gold Wing’s legendary long distance ethos is it’s smoothness & peace of mind reliability. On newest generation DCT equipped, it’s so nice in stop and go and just all around use. A seamless mindless gear selection that is quick and easy. A very slick feature. The GSA is appealing to me for it’s utility aesthetics. It’s a good looking bike. But it doesn’t need so much attention to keeping it look so good with careful care of wiping it down at every fuel stop or morning pre-departure at the hotel like a Gold Wing. Gold Wings look best looking clean & dressed tight. The GSA is just in it’s natural element getting dirty. However once home, the detailing team gets after it. 😂

    That's a very good question, I got rid of my cbr600f sport f4i about 6 months ago. And i regret selling it every day since. The worst part about it is I'll never get another one for the same money I paid for the one I had. I still have two adventure bikes. One is an Aprilia Caponord Rally Raid and the other is a Cagiva Elefant E750LE. I am very attached to these two bikes. I am also after a Cagiva Elefant 650 Lucky Explorer. And I know I'll get attached to every bike I have. I also want to have someone build me a featherweight road legal sports bike with a Ducati 750 belt driven air/oil cooled L twin engine in it. It's going to be the lightest and fastest Ducati on the road. Well maybe not the fastest but faster than most other newer sports bikes. By the way I am from the UK. Stay safe and keep on riding bud 🙂👍.

  • @BootsandJeansRiders
    @BootsandJeansRiders 6 дней назад

    The best touring bike is the one you are most comfortable riding, even if it's a sports bike. Of course on long bikecations, reliability is a BIG factor, when it comes to peace of mind. I saw that wine glass video. I get horrible mpg because I pull a big trailer.

    • @roadglide

    I am so interested in a GoldWing but just can’t grasp the idea of an “automatic” motorcycle. I realize that it’s also available without DCT but would love your perspective on the DCT…do you truly like it?

    • @craighanesworth262
      @craighanesworth262 12 дней назад

      The DCT is phenomenal. I think most people who have never ridden one believe that it works like a scooter. It doesn't. It shifts between the 7 gears the same you would if you were doing it yourself. It upshifts when you would and downshifts the same way. Also, it does have paddle shifters so you can shift yourself if you like. The biggest pros for me is that it the shifting is much smoother than what you can accomplish on your own. Also, in stop and go traffic it is fantastic. No cramps in your hand from working the clutch non-stop. The major con is in slow speed maneuvers. Nothing is better than being able to feather the clutch when you are doing slow speed turns. The DCT is so popular that I predict that Honda will discontinue the manual transmission Goldwing in the future and only have DCT as an option. Ride safe

    • @tctc2470
      @tctc2470 12 дней назад

      Wow! That sounds great. The slow speed stuff concerns me a little but I assume that you can still leverage the rear brake to help make a slow turn? I currently ride a Road King (which I love) bought seem to think that a Goldwing would be a great complement.

    Still have an issue with the headlight. It's not that baaaad per se but companies like Benelli can put on a premium LED headlight and still sell bikes for 5k, so comparatively it looks a bit cheap. They should have stuck with the previous headlight because it's basically become a trade mark, a bit like a bmw car grill is.
