I was on the island the same time as you, it rained a lot and the flies were insane. And also crazy we had to wait another night.

Randomly stumbled upon this video whilst searching for hikes back here in New Zealand, I love the vibes! Been looking at a trip to the States later next year and have been figuring out what places to hike!

We use Mammoth Cave campground as a frequent layover camping stop on cross country drives...love it. Thanks for the video and for including the hawk!

Years ago we stopped for lunch on Wright Island, not very far from where you were at Rock Harbor, and out of no where you could literally feel the ground vibrate before we could see the moose. Great memory. Congrats to you for seeing a moose at Rock Harbor.

Thanks for the garden update! I tried a garden, once, wow, sure gave me a more appreciation for those that can do it.

My favorite way to eat kale is lightly blanched & drizzled with truffle oil. I then proceed to toss everything in a bowl to infuse the oil with oxygen. I'm kind of bougie, so I like to finish by garnishing the salad with pomegranate seeds. By this point in the process I've worked up quite an appetite, so I throw the kale into my compost recycler & drive to Arby's.

Despite the small glitch, glad this trip ended better than Scotland! I've only seen it from shore, but I bet you would enjoy Bois Blanc island in Lake Huron near Mackinaw. Sounds almost all rural and lots of hiking.

That so odd. I was thinking about asking you about the garden in the comments on your last Vlog. Felt like that was in intrusion though. Ha!

You ever try grounding yourself. Just take your shoes off and walk around outside. Do it for a week and see if you feel any better. I've been trying it and I definitely feel a difference for some reason. I know it's odd for me to mention this but just because you're sitting on the ground I thought of it. Nice video. I was there in March and would go back in a heartbeat. Mexico City is such an awesome place. If anyone reading is planning a trip, see if you can book a show at the Palacio de bellas artes. The curtain onstage is a glass mosiac commissioned by Tiffany. I love all the smiles and laughter despite the rain and delay. When I visited last year, my friends and I had the perfect camp site too. 😊 this year our north got cancelled due to dock issues (right after your trip!) so we are headed to south this weekend. Your video was fun to watch!
