Except, the oil caps wouldn't fit on the valve covers, so I had to use a hot glue gun to keep them in place

I'm doing a model similar to it. These things are a challenge, but I got through building Richard Petty's Dodge. But the 1980 car is fun, I just got a little bit better with building a model car.

Maybe I missed it, but did you paint the body or leave it as is OOB?

Great work. Looks fantastic! Question... I'm guessing that you had to mask off and actually paint it white and yellow and that the yellow on top isn't a full decal. Did you paint it full white first and then mask it and then apply the yellow??

The interiors of these stock cars were either the body color or white. There was no a/c in those cars. Black tends to get hotter which increases the inside temp. I like your roll cage. I keep the left over plastic from the parts trees and make my roll cages out of them when I can. I'll have to look into buying the round plastic tubes you showed in this video. I've watched your other videos on this car and it looks great.

Your work is excellent. I know that this is an old video and I'm late to the game so to speak. The body seams running down the driver and passenger sides also need to be filled in. They did not exist on the real race cars.

So much easier than paint right? Years ago when I heard about this years ago, some recommended using a Sharpie "Industrial" versus their regular marker because there is a purplish tint to the ink in the regular markers, whereas the Industrial is a true black. They can be found at office and art supply stores. The car looks great and congrats on hitting 1,000 subscribers.🎉
