Hi, I can't use the crop tool. Only the original orientation is cropped. The freecrop function or any other function is not active. Can you help me?
The X-trans1 and X-trans2 sensors are amazing. It didn’t get any better after that. I don’t think there’s any other sensor out there that gives you the same unique film-like look. This is why these older Fujifilm cameras are so popular. Prices are still going up.
2nd reply: been using this compact sharp little kit lens along with the DX55-200mm kit lens and loving BOTH of them! Saving lens money and getting GREAT quality!
I still have a d200. Actually got it pretty late around 2015 or so. It's a nice camera. It really was my best camera for a while and then I finally upgraded from my original d40 with six megapixels to a d3200 last year. A 4X increase in resolution was kind of nice. So now that's my favorite camera overall and I often put the d200's kit lens on it which is an 18 to 200 mm lens.
Love the photos. What do you think of the D90 as compared to the D200?
yes, the older camera, like D700, has better noise grain in high iso. why ?
After 5 years with cameras and pics, I never thought of this idea 💡. Time to leave the studio for a while and enjoy the outdoor 😅 You such a Brilliant 👍 thank you so much 🎉🎉🎉🎉
roses are red roses are blue the title says 2024 but then you said 2022? xD
Hello! I haven't seen anywhere if the D90 body has optical stabilization. I have seen that many lenses have VR, but the 35mm and 50mm lenses do not have VR. What do we do in shooting with these lenses, if the body does not have optical stabilization? You can't use the tripod when you're in a hurry to capture an opportune frame. Thank you in advance!
@PompiliuSimion Hi! You are right the Nikon D90 does not have in body stabilization. I myself primarily use old film lenses that don't have VR. VR is nice though its system does reduce vibration and motion when you have to use a slower shutter speed. My method is when it gets darker, I raise the ISO to a point that I would be comfortable with. I say comfortable because noise is a factor when you raise the shutter speed. The D90 goes all the way down to L1 which is equivalent to around ISO 100 but when I use the D90 I typically stay around ISO 200 for most of the time. If you want to you can use a higher ISO but test it to see how your sensor produces noise in low light situations. The less light there is though the more noise you will have when using higher ISOs. The prime lenses (35mm and 50mm ) typically don't have VR because the f/stop opens up so wide typically f/2.8 or even larger f/1.4. It just depends on the lens. Because those lenses open up so much, they let a lot of light in to burn into the sensor and produce an image which in turn produces a faster shutter speed therefor less camera shake or vibration. Even at f/4 on a lens like that is better because the light takes less time to travel down the barrel. On a good bright morning or afternoon I typically use f/7.1-f/11 on a zoom because most zooms are f/3.5-4.5 or f/4.5-5.6 and that is the sweet spot for sharpness on most zooms. On zooms f/4.0-f7.1 are my go to f-stops. I just love the depth. The rule in photography is that if you have a shutter speed that is above the largest length of your lens you are in the clear and shouldn't have a blurry image. VR just adds to that and gives you more wiggle room. I hope this info helps. Also to control your image if you aren't already shoot in M mode. Thanks for watching my video! Kris
@@Kris_World thank you very much for the detailed answer; all the best!
Thank you so much !!
@Mr09260 You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
The greatest digital camera of them all.
I love your videos, thank you for your hard work. You are inspirational to my photography learning. Please note that you can program your Nikon camera to use vintage AF lenses by following this menu = Custom Setting Menu > f Controls > f5 customize command dials > aperture setting > Aperture ring. This will allow changing aperture with the lens ring without the FF error.
@starscream25 Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words. I am really happy that I can help you in your photography journey. Wow thank you for the awesome tip! Thanks for some really helpful topics learning a lot about my d7000! My autofocus goes haywire when i use live view unfortunately, i don't know how to address it
@miles-thesleeper-monroe8466 Hi Miles! You are very welcome! Thank you for watching my video! As for your autofocus goes while in life view, the camera has a hard time focusing in general when in automatic focus mode, unfortunately. Especially when I use the AF-F mode while in live view. Mine goes crazy. The way I have addressed this is to fine tune your autofocus for your lens, first and foremost, to get the most accurate focus possible between your lens and your camera. I have a video on how to do this if you haven't already on my channel. Next when in live view make sure your camera is set to AF-S and the selection point mode. You can change these settings by holding down the front left button underneath your lens labeled AF-M and using your aperture dials and your shutter speed dials to change the settings. I also like to use the digital zoom feature on my camera to check focus. Other than that I would say try manual focusing and see if that works for you as well. I like to set the lens to manual focus and use the zoom button on the camera to check my focus while in live view. I hope this helps. Kris
@@Kris_World wow Kris that's awesome I'm glad it's not just me. I will try those tips really appreciated! I'm loving getting to know more and more about this gorgeous camera do you still have yours
@miles-thesleeper-monroe8466 The D7000 is unfortunately prone to having focusing issues. I have talked to a lot of people who have this camera, and they to have had focusing issues. Lets just say it has been a process on getting this camera to work for me the way I want it to. But I have learned a lot. But I absolutely love it! No problem at all! I hope it helps! It is an amazing camera, and yes I do still have mine. I actually use it as my primary camera. I have a D700 but the d7000 is my go to camera for most of my photography. The 16mp sensor is just awesome! If you have any questions about your camera let me know, I'll do what I can to help.
@@Kris_World that's really kind Kris I definitely will. I think I will learn far more with this camera than I would with a modern one and achieve just as much
Hey Kris, I watched your AF fine tuning video which was great and I think I've stumbled upon an improvement. It seems to work better with AF fine tuning turned off. I shall keep experimenting
Where can I learn to use my D7000 without having to set it to auto?
@TimeInspiredClocks Hi, I have many videos on my channel for the Nikon D7000, but if there is anything specific that you would like to know, I can defiantly make it a point to help you.
Is this setting will help me to take portrait photos?
@akshaysajeev5723 Yes this will defiantly help you, because your camera will focus properly on your subject. Thank you for watching!
Get your money back.
@bngr_bngr luckily I only paid 5 bucks for it.
This is a GOAT 🐐 DX Nikon camera unmatched until the D500. Probable the best bang for buck DSLR you can buy today.
@jacquesnel8384 I totally agree with you the Nikon D300s is such a great camera even today. Thank you for watching!
Love my D50 for the autofocus motor. Great choice of lenses. I got a really old 18mm autofocus lens and it all works. Coming from an F80 everything feels familiar its so good I love it
How large are the RAW FILES
@peterdisbury Hi Peter! Thank you for watching! When I checked, depending on the photo my Raw files typically are between 16-22 mb per image. It all just depends on how much information is in the image itself. Color, Light, Contrast, White Balance, a little bet of everything. Hope this helps! Kris
Thanks mate. Yes. Balance
@tonycanniffe2360 You're welcome! Finding Balance helps everything. Thank you for watching!!!
I love the XT 1 so much I bought three of them at at low prices before they got rediscovered and the prices went out of control. I use vintage M42 Takumar lenses, Konica, and Russian lenses on them. All resulting in beautiful images that the newer lenses can not reproduce.
This update kill my D90. Not recommend.
@joaorodrigues3519 I am so sorry this happened to your camera! Nikon has very specific instructions on their website on how to do this update. I also uploaded a full tutorial on how to do a camera update with the Nikon D700. The process is the same for both cameras.
Ho ancora il 35-50 comprato in kit con Nikon F70 e posso dire che non ha una buona qualità in fatto di nitidezza
Thank you for such an informative video. This looks like a little gem of a lens and I think I’ll start looking for one! Much appreciate your continuing efforts to help photographers enjoy their craft and often present us with some surprises gear wise. Excellent photos by the way! Cheers.
@tonygarret7214 You're very welcome Tony! Thank you for the kind words and support! It defiantly surprised me when I picked this lens and used it. I love sharing anything I can to help others, hopefully this video does. I hope all is well my friend! I am happy you liked the photos. Take care! Kris
The comparison is a little off, as the subject has moved due to the wind. The conditions are not absolutely identical.

Can you upload a Video recorded with d 7000 as a video review test since everyone says that it doesn't focus well
@Color.rapids Hi, Yes I will defiantly make it a point to make a video of that. Thank you for watching!
I am Beginner plz suggest me which have purchase Second hand Camera D 7000 or D 90 plz suggest
@swapniltinkhede Hi Swapnil! The Nikon D90 is an excellent camera and produces some really amazing images, but if you want a camera that has more functionality then go for a D7000. It has a 16mp sensor and video functionality. If you want to, check out my other videos that I have posted on my channel. I have one about the Nikon D90 and some about the Nikon D7000. Thanks for watching! Kris
hello Kris i have been wondering whether i should get the nikon D5600 or the D7000 which one is a better option?
@avyrye8353 Hi avy rye, sorry this late. I would say that both cameras are fantastic. There are a few differences however between both cameras. The D7000 has a 16mp sensor and the D5600 has a 24mp sensor. If you want more functionality I believe the D7000 will be your better option because then you can use a bunch of lenses, even ones that do not have a built in motor for focusing. However the D5600 would probably be better for video. The Nikon D7000 also takes 2 SD cards the D5600 only uses 1. The D7000 just has a little bit more. The Nikon D7000 can have a focusing problem but it can be adjusted using the fine tune autofocus tool in the camera menu. If you have any other questions please let me know. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching! I do have some videos that talk about the Nikon D7000 on my channel if you are interested. I hope all is well! Kris
I just got gifted one of these that was my grandfathers then my dads and is now mine! Maybe I missed it in the video but how do you record video on the d200? Is it possible?
@booterscooch5105 Congratulations on the awesome gift! You have been given a CCD sensor camera that is defiantly a fun camera to use. Unfortunately the Nikon D200 does not have a video function, nor does the Nikon D80 which is its predecessor. You would have to purchase a Nikon D90 or D300s to have video, but the video function on those cameras is only rated at 720p. Hope this helps. Kris
All lenses will look poor at f22 it’s diffraction
Avec mon Nikon D7000 ,je n'arrive pas afficher la qualité de la mise au point sur mon écran secondaire ( le petit ) AF- S ou autre , malgré que j'appuie le petit bouton à gauche de mon boîtier ,aidez moi svp
Hey Kris, thanks so much for your efforts, as a Nikon owner (Z9-D780-ZF) and shooting with Nikon DSLRs over 15 years (D90 was my first love) like your contents and wish your channel grow up over 100K in the shorttest time. Keep creating man !
@taregsami Hey Tarik! Thank you so much for the encouragement and kind words it truly means a lot to me. This is one of the nicest comments I have ever gotten being a RUclips creator. Thank you for watching my video it is very much appreciated. I really hope my channel can grow that much in a short time, but I do it to help others and it teaches me as well, things I may not know. If you have any suggestions or ideas for a video let me know. I'd love to give it a go. I hope all is well! Kris
Me gusta mucho tu canal. Saludos desde Queretaro, Mexico.
@fernieto84 Hi Fernando, I love your comment about this lens. I defiantly agree, now that I have had this lens for a bit now, I have come to realize that you are right, the imperfections defiantly give the photographs produced with this lens character. You are not the only one who was eager to get this lens after watching my video. I had a wedding photographer who was using the newer version of this lens and did not like the quality that is was producing and wanted to buy the older version because of its unique characteristics. He then told me that the images that he had gotten were exactly what he was looking for. And said sometimes lenses can be too sharp and the glass in this particular lens is just perfect especially since it was created during the early film days. I am so grateful my review has helped you as well in making a decision in buying this lens. Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it! I am really happy you like my channel. If you have any ideas for a video or would like help learning more about your camera or gear, just let me know I will do my best to help you. I am always happy to hear new ideas and suggestions. Hi ! When I’m in live view mode, the exposition doesn’t change ! Can you help me please ? Thanks a lot !
@loic16 Sorry this is late, but what mode do you have it in? Make sure your D7000 is either in M mode or A mode. You won't be able to change your exposure if you are in Auto Mode. I hope this helps. Let me know what the outcome is. Kris
@@Kris_World no prob ! Yes I put him in M mode and I try every each other, but still the same mistake…
Hi Brother, thanks for the settings. Could you please suggest me the best battery model & SD Card model with good buffer as you said in the video. Thanks from India 🙏😊.
I owned a Nikon D80 in 2009. It was considered awesome at the time... high resolution with 10.2 megapixels. I was happy and proud to own a Nikon. How time flies... today I only shoot with Fuji. X100V, X-E3, X-T1, X-T3, these are my cameras.
Agreed. My D700 is at nearly 300,000, and still going strong.
@clarehennessey3653 That's awesome!! Nikon really out did themselves with this camera. Thanks for watching! Kris
It was a very beautiful phenomenon

I choose my Nikon D7100 over my Fullframe Sony A7II
@SpotOnFyn Outstanding! In my opinion, since Nikon has such a large assortment of lenses that can be used it makes it the more economical option and the possibilities are endless.
Almost every lens I have needs some af fine tuning. Even when it does not I store the valua "0" for the lens. This fine tune feature is often over looked by many people or they do not know how to use it.
@user-qe7gw4yv7y This is so true! It is a very overlooked menu feature and yet so powerful. It can make your lenses work on a whole new level. Thank you for watching! Kris
I see there wrong light for take this picture - nathing wrong doing lens. Camera is not able do this dynamic range. That all.
@richardpetrovic8941 I agree with you the light was too harsh when I took some of these photos and the camera didn't know how to use the optics properly because of it being a crop sensor. Later that year I got a full frame camera and tested this lens and had much better results. So after playing around with it I have come to the conclusion that the lens doesn't work as well as it could with crop sensor cameras. Thank you for watching! Kris
@@Kris_World Crop senzor or full frame have nathing with improving quality if you using the same objective - only angle of view is different. Do not exists perfect objectiv, and for art picture is this no perfect +, if you know how to use it.
Is there a way to do this test without a tripod?
@taylorritchie6313 Hi Taylor. Yes there most defiantly is. You can do this hand-held just make sure you focus on the same focus line every time. Your results may not be as accurate as it would be when you use a tripod but it should work to an extent. You will just have to make sure that you have a very fast shutter speed when correcting your lens. The tripod is just there so the camera can stay stable on your point of focus. You can use a book or a cereal box to check your focus as your focus line. Now you can also prop it on some books and tilt it at an angle as well towards your focus line just make sure every time you take a photo its same spot on the same part of the line. You just have to make sure that you have your subject (focus line) at an angle from your camera so you can see if its calibrated. I hope this helps. Kris
Thank you Kris, your videos have been great help to me
