at pro level i get your points but in ranked there are much more filthy characters full of tricks every average player just uses EVO just to shit on dragunov even with the changes you mentioned they would still complain at least he has a purpose to be oppressive i am very surprised not to hear complaints about fucking alisa or victor who dont even play tekken and the reason? these characters at pro level are very rare because pros dont get caught by their cheap tricks but for the average player they are braindead

Ive played Tekken since T5(T8 being the first one where i actually started playing online) and I've never understood Frame Data. That's why when T7 didn't have frame data upon release i was one of the few people who wasnt really upset about it. And when they did released it, didn't really use it. I also never use and follow flow charts for my characters. I go to practice mode, and see which move i can use and see which of them i can chain together by trial and error

Having a full time job (8 to 12 hour days) and only being able to play a couple hours on the weekends doesn't help either 😭

im stuck in purple ranks for a while and i def use cheese and basically rely on my opp to not know my character. you saying being more patient, stop jabbing into flow charts really makes me want ro take that and get better. i main yoshimitsu so this was really helpful.i never play casuals so what you said about playing casuals to learn how to study your opponent sounds like something ill do for a bit. great vid my dude

I just got into red ranks and ive had tekken for about 8 days or so. Omg .im not new to fighting games so im claiming fast and im actually advanced in a few others . I tried this game cuz its popular but idk if ive been enjoying this game or not. Ive trying to prove to myself that maybe tekken 8 is good cuz the last 6 tekken i thought was so mashy and cheap. Idk tekken 8 still has too high of a reward system and i think mashing gets u kinda far in 8. That being said literally as soon as i left warrior the other day ,people start playing right. Cuz at 1st i was really hating tekken 8 actually. Now im starting to see why people like it but i still have alot to say about how far mashers get in this game .

My goal was to reach Tekken god, but then I quickly realized how difficult that is going to be for me with my limited time to play and learn. So, I made a smaller goal, which was to reach red ranks with the GOAT, Lidia. I made it. I’m happy. This is my first time ever playing competitive tekken and playing tekken online. I took a lot of knowledge from past games and shot up to red ranks quicker than most. I probably won’t reach purple ranks or above, but I’m happy. If I reach purple one day, hell yeah. If not, oh well.

NGL I tried to keep an open mind and watched the video in it's entirety, however I believe that the main reason why your climb has gone as smooth as it has, it's because you cherry pick opponents. I'm not saying that the other tips can't be useful but nothing will impact your rank even remotely as 1 and done strats. Talking strictly from my personal experience I climbed to tekken king while rematching everyone that doesn't lag or has shit fps. Atm I deranked as low as kishin however I'm confident that if I were to play vs you in more than 1 game I'd at least hold my own and I think I'm being modest. I am not hating, If you are solely focused on ranking up, then objectively your strats are probably the way to go about it. If you however just play to improve and disregard the rank png then I think that overall you'll become the strongest player version you can be and eventually the rank will follow either way.

One does not simply speedrun Tekken ranks to top 5% just because you have good knowledge of the core fundamentals

I'm desperate here, so i have to crutch on a broken character, just the truth. some people are able to completely wallop me even still, there are pro level players of almost every character. its not great for his image that a bunch of drags were in top 8, but i dont think hes really dominating the meta. i dont even really encounter him a lot, on line or in person, so i think where he is at is good and shouldnt change. but they will nerf him. they will nerf him every patch. and eventually ill have to drop him. dragunov is like a chain of darkness around my heart, and one day i will be delivered by the light. but till that day... im mashing wr 2
