I just bought that fabric! It feels sooo wonderful. I’m making a Blackwood cardigan, and I plan on going up two sizes so it’s a looser fit and doubling the width of the neck band so it will close/ overlap in the front.

I love it! Question: Why did you use a zigzag stitch? How or why does it help with the sewing process?

Will have to try the zigzag stitch the next time. Smart about starting at center back, good tip. A SewSteady machine table is excellent to keep fabric from dragging, but they are machine specific.

FYI a razor blade works really well. I had to make a bear suit 🙄don’t ask, and I traced around the pattern on the back (single layer just like you did) and used the razor blade like a scalpel to cut through the backing.

Really great clothes! Love them. You probably already know this, but fake fur can look different upside-down vs right-side up. The light just hits it different. Just look at it both ways and don't cut any pieces upside-down, once you pick your right-side up preference. (Same thing with velvet and/or corduroy.) Happy sewing!

So sorry i thought i was subscribed! When i read you made 4 ! Garments this week ! 😯 I was hoping you could give some tips on how you accomplished sooo much?! Whats wrong with the cord pants , they look great. The other pieces look great and stylish too. When cutting the fur just cut the knit backing. I have even stuck strips of Glad Press'n Seal on then cut down the centre of it. No mess. Hi Boo 🐶 Keeping Mummy's fabrics warm. Good dog 😀

I was about to call my dealer when I couldn't find the buttonholer! Then I remembered: I saw a video of another machine where the buttonholer was in an unusual place. I explored...and there it was with a few other things!

Hello. I loved your corduroy pants. Please wear them, just really cute and you’ll figure out a way to style them. Your bubble skirt is very cute too. Take care and yes, I had a very stressful week too in a lot of ways, medically being #1, then getting $ back from an Amazon return( had a glitch I was told by turn dept!,, only me and it was over100$) and a store return and our political decision last wk too!!!! . Hoping we all have a better coming week. My hubs has a sort of different eye procedure scheduled this coming Tuesday, Wed I’ll have two medical appts and making sure my hubs obeys his eye drs rules. It’s not cataracts but having the eye fluid replaced after having the cataract off about two yrs ago. He has permanent floaters and being how he is,,, he’ll not want to do as told! As in being very careful and not being too physical for the amt of x he’s told. So wish me luck,,,, plus hopefully We’d aft I’ll get a diagnosis on my spine after waiting for the mri report,,,,, . Another surgery to fix n replace my broken down discs or cortisone injections for a while,,, arthritis is taking over my body and nw I have scoliosis and a very curved spine! But,,, I’m sewing!!!!! Nothing too complicated but made my daughter a cute easy cape and a scarf this eve and worked on a patchwork baking dish potholder n matching potholder too. All completed. Nothing too difficult but it helps me mentally in a lot of ways. Take cure and keep sewing ,,,,,, you are so cute!!! Nancy from northern IN
