4 easy drum songs (or 400 if you learn these frameworks)
Thanks so much to JP Bouvet for doing this "4 Most Important Drums Grooves" video: ruclips.net/video/t2A2UDmrgsw/видео.html. It has really helped me take a head-spinning amount of drum content, and good things I could be focusing on, and boil it down to the essentials for the musical styles I like to play.

    It blows my mind how people can do even the single stroke roll so quickly. I’m a brand new drummer been playing a couple days on my dad’s kit. I know single strokes and the rebound is really important so it’s something I want to get down early and practice often. This really explains things well and the practice starts out at a slow enough speed for me. I really struggle going past 60 for rebounds and rolls. I’m going self taught/video lessons so it can be hard for me to identify little issues. Do you have a place to submit videos if we ever want someone to look at our technique real quick?

    So cool! You’re the only one who recommends teaching your non dominant hand to master the FRENCH grip! I’m with you… my right hand just goes there naturally and burns effortlessly straight up and down but the left strokes wander to hell and back… I know that if I can get those fine moves consistently with the left I will get the bounce that is so comfortable when I play with the right hand

    • @tempoleaguedrums
      @tempoleaguedrums Месяц назад

      🤣 “the left strokes wander to hell and back” killed me. Totally, so much concerted, intentional effort is needed to work that out but it’s very possible.

    Hell is the default destination for all mankind for the sins we commit. But God loved the world so much, he became flesh (man) 2000 years ago, sacrificed his life for us, dying a brutal death for us in atonement for our sins (which is justified). The wages of sins is death and Christ paid the fine by dying for us, was buried and rose alive on the third day, lived a perfect life we couldn’t and went on to heal, bless, cast out evils and today He sits next to God on His throne in Heaven. If you put your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, turn from your sins, and choose to follow Him, he will forgive you of your sins and grant you everlasting life with God in heaven when Jesus returns to judge all mankind. ❤JESUS LOVES YOU❤ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Read the Holy Bible daily, get baptized in a Christian church and join them in fellowship and uplifting as brother and sisters encourage one another.

    i'm new to drumming, it feels like i can whip the stick with my right hand like slicing a sword but can't with my left, same with angle of attack; i need to get it consistent with my right... it makes me sad but I know it's just practice, I'll just twack a pad for 15 minutes a day and come back to the drum kit... probably going to also teach myself to use the left hand on the hi-hat instead of crossing my arms so it can have more hours on it, probably good for becoming ambidextrous

    Have you considered a little lesson on Double and Triple paradiddles? Accenting the first 2 single rights and first 2 single lefts of the double and first 3 single rights and first 3 single lefts of the triple.. Yea this is no good when you're playing metal, play a solid 2 hour set of hard rock and metal and your hands are trashed, especially if your a hard hitter and playing songs that require you to really put some balls into it to drive the song. Only solution is taping up fingers or drumming gloves

    Just Liked and Subbed! What a great lesson! My weak left hand is retarted. First of all ive noticed something very interesting. So for years when i did rudiments like a parradiddle, while watching my right stick it makes a smooth white line like when you perfectly wave a fan it looks like a perfect straight line. Well no straight fan line when i look at my left stick motion. The lest stick is making little unwanted circular motions. So forever ive been trying to make it match the right stick motion which is perfectly straight. Well the other day after still not understanding why The left stick movement does not do that perfect fan motion. Heres the problem i identified when I tried to perfectly mirror my 2 hands. My godamn left thumb is straight and barely bends back while my right thumb is completely curved almost like a halfmoon in shape. So that seems to be why im having so much trouble for years getting my left to mirror my right. I am very courios to see if anyone else notices they have this issue. I would love to hear all your comments on this. Buy the way I have made a big improvement with making my left stick look lesser circular motion but its been way to much time to get it to work right, im talking 10 years. So if both of your thumbs bend back so they curve like a croissant you are a lucky drummer. Watch different drummers thumbs I think ease of stick contron has a lot to do with natural hand shape and curve thumbs that can curve backwards a bit. Like some dudes were born with better drumming bodies physiologically. Alright back to working on my retarted straight left thumb😉

    • @tempoleaguedrums
      @tempoleaguedrums 4 месяца назад

      Thanks for the like and the sub! And thanks for checking out the video. Keep at it! It’s hard to fully understand without a visual but the weak hand definitely gives everyone fits, get in solid reps and it will for sure start to feel better.

    I've gotten back into working on this again. I agree you have to work this slow with a metronome as you are doing. Another idea to keep the left hand the same is to practice both hands at the same time. Seems to "encourage" or train your left hand so that it's not as awkward.
