Two of my favorite places to frequent are The Portal Game Board Cafe, where you can get together with friends and family and play board games, card games, and RPG's all day, grab a Wizard Beer and a snack. The other is Point Break Arcade, which has some great old and new video arcade games to play. Both places are located in the Historic Downtown Panama City area. 30A was magical once upon a time. Just sold our house there. We have owned property there for decades, paradise lost. Look for the new 30A, head a couple hours east.

Make them flood zones. Not allowed to build or own land in a flood zone.

Homes on the beach should be on steel enforced concrete stilts 10 feet high. These should be rezoned as FLOOD ZONES. No building allowed due to frequent, deadly flooding. Common sense and safety over greed for profits.

My wife and I went to P.City for our 5th year anniversary. We had a blast. Be beach, great fresh food. Top of shopping centers. If you need to grab anything last minute for a good price there’s WAL-MART in P. City. Once the FEDS bring down interests rates leading up to the election I will snatch up a condo. Great get away, great crowd of people when I was this August 2023.

Showing Mexico beach damage and calling it Panama City is silly.

I’ve lived in the Panhandle all my life. The most scary aspect of living here is only tangentially related to weather - property insurance. It is two to four times higher than other states. My wind and homeowners is $6000 a year for a 2000 sq ft home that’s well inland.

The panhandle should be Alabama/georgia/Mississippi!! You’d think your in one of those hillbilly states lol

Panama City Beach is Hidden Gem anyone who wants to move here should move here but definitely expect very unreasonable prices or properties it is going out the roof here.

Hurricane Michael did NOT come in at panama. It came in at mexico Beach. Desimated mexico Beach. I live 60 miles north of it and it did severe damage our way too!!!!

It's not just about "greedy" out-of-town investors versus tourists. Many locals who don’t rely on tourism are tired of dealing with the issues that unchecked tourism brings! With beer prices hitting $8, it’s clear that it's not locals driving up costs, but rather the commercialization of tourism making the area unaffordable. There are dozens of miles of public beaches, and many tourists have access to private beaches, too. If they need to walk a little bit more, so what? Private property rights are fundamental to American values, and if you owned a beachfront property, I bet your perspective would shift quickly!
