The demon hunters (all previously "normal elves" like Illidan was) literally consume demonic energy and feed off the demons they kill to gain power in order to fight the demons of the Legion better. It twists and warps their bodies, which is why they all have horns and spikes growing from their bodies, and their blood is glowing green like normal demon blood. Illidan has consumed so much he has permanent wings and his legs have turned into demonic hooved ones. However, the demonic Fel energy constantly whispers in their minds trying to turn them into full demons in service to the Legion. Over the years, many demon hunters have fallen to the demonic whispers and joined the Legion. So not only is their battle against the demons physical, but mental as well. And Azgoth is an Annihilan type of demon (more commonly called Pit Lords). The same kind as the more well known Mannoroth, who was the demon responsible for enslaving the orcs to the Legion by tricking them into drinking his blood (the one you saw in the Warlord's of Draenor cinematic).

I was there in Paris and we could see it all. With g2 being 3-0ed too x).

G2 were the second EU team to make it to the finals, the first was Fnatic. That said G2 was unironically a super team that were favourites for the tournament. Which is UNHEARD OF in all of LoL history. In the lead up to worlds, G2 won both of their domestic EU leagues, and they won MSI which is a half as important but still important international tournament. So if they won worlds they would have completed the golden road (winning every major tournament possible in a year). They were outrageously good. They got slapped really badly 3-0 in the final. It was brutal. EU has faded back to being significantly 3rd tier behind China and Korea ever since.

I think the only esports that could come close in terms of crowd is csgo. But for sure not opening wise

The best bit about this one is that the crowd can see it because the stage is surrounded by a glass wall that is being used to create / reflect the “holograms” whereas in the other ceremonies the “holograms” are edited in for the stream. But also everything about this was executed amazingly. The section where Ekko is teleporting around the stage and they make it look like the artist is literally teleporting is the cleverest way I’ve seen lighting used in a live performance.

European support Mikyx and reserve support Promisq, Greatest team eu has ever produced, now we probably wont see eu team in Worlds finals for a very long time, because while G2 dominate europe's league they dont really have competition so they dont perform that good at worlds.

Each team is showing their biggest season trophy. G2 won the 2 LEC (Europe) titles and MSI (Mid season Invitational), which is an international tournament similar to Worlds, that occurs between the 1st and 2nd split of all regions, and FPX won the LPL (China). MSI is the biggest trophy after Worlds and that's the trophy G2 is showing.

2019 was a pretty big year for league, worlds was massive, the opening ceremony was pretty much one a kind, Louis Vuitton collaborated with Riot to create a line of clothing exclusive for worlds (LV Also created the box the trophy was in that you saw opened up), G2 was on the Golden Road (winning everything, Spring, summer, MSI, worlds) but lost quite easily to FPX in the finals, G2 are still to this day the closest a team has gotten to golden road (JDG being 2nd, losing to T1 in Quarter finals in Worlds 2023) Also Europe won the first "Worlds" back in 2011, this was Fnatic (People like to discount Worlds Season 1 because it was mostly EU and NA teams but forget 2 APAC teams also attended)

The finals for 2019 took place in Paris, there is a video called "10 months 10 minutes" specially for this opening ceremony which Riot produced which gives a behind the scenes look at how they accomplished everything that year. Visually, the crowd can see everything. Highly recommend watching 10 months 10 minutes, it's worth the watch to see how dedicated they are for these ceremonies.

LP played a concert in that exact venue a couple of weeks ago.. I was there for that it was soo good and I was also at the worlds finals and with all the work riot put in to their opening ceremonies it was even better to see them live again.

Apparently Linkin Park made a quieter, Arcane-specific version of Heavy is the Crown that will show up in S2. That's all we know, but yeah. Linkin Park is properly a part of Arcane now, too. Hell yeah!

Shadowlands was deliberate character assassination of Sylvanas and the person responsible has since been fired for sexual harassment and abuse. To go into more detail, Shadowlands was largely written, and Sylvanas was written, by Alex Afrasiabi who was the Senior Creative Director for World of Warcraft and was later fired from Blizzard for sexual harassment and abuse, and he has been confirmed by other people on the writing staff to have hated Sylvanas as a character and wanted to ruin her. Her voice actress is also on record going basically, to paraphrase, "Idfk what's even happening with her either, but I hate it." I'd give you the views and watch time on these vids if I could handle it, but it still hurts too much. At least commenting at all should help engagement metrics. I'll try to watch all of everything else to hopefully make up for it, but yeah, this expansion just hurts way too much. ​Faker's name has become a normal part of league of legends vocabulary. If you dodge a crazy skillshot or make an insane play, it's not uncommon to hear people scream "Holy shit, I'm Faker." SKT T1 and Faker in particular are probably the pinnacle of eSports. Like if there was a dungeon of eSports that you had to climb, SKT T1 is the final floor and Faker is the final boss.

both blg and t1 have valorant teams. blg plays in the chinese league and t1 plays in apac (pacific league). t1 this year has a crazy roster if you follow competitive valorant - meteor, buzz, stax, izu, sylvan, carpe. before that they reach top 4 quite often in apac. they went to masters shanghai this year, beat gen g to qualify. but all you need to know for the league of legends team is that t1 is the greatest organization in korean esports history thanks to the league team.
