What in the world is a hybrid electric motor doing on a pure race car ? Are they racing economy cars ? And a fuel limitation ? On a Formula 1 car ? (Who thought up all these Rube Goldberg regulations ? A group of environmentalist-freaks ?) Formula 1 racing engines are NOT designed to comply with certain ludicrous E.P.A. mileage requirements ! They are built for pure speed,...nothing else !

My god these things sound great. It's just a shame the FIA cut their balls off and effectively capped them at 600HP or so by putting in that asinine 100l max fuel load. Fuck off Bernie. Let the teams burn an entire oil tanker's worth of gas in one race if they want. We want to see some real power.

This new season is going to be boring.... The cars sound awful and they are slower >:(
1. The cars are slower in corners but much faster on the straights => more 'real' overtakes 2. ERS works automatically => less 'press-to-overtake' 3. Red Bull is having a terrible time with testing 4. Kimi & Fernando are driving for Ferrari ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- => Likely one of the best seasons of the last few decades.

The sound of ear splitting V8 has been replaced with this?
Its not the change in the number of cylinders that causes the lower pitched noise, its the noticeable drop in RPM,still at 15,000 it should still produce sort of a higher pitch, im not sure but maybe the drivers arent opening up all the way. Either way i hate this new "Green" F1 racing...fken hippies ruin everything
Whatever it is its a joke and I dont think F1 will recover from this. Engines will get smaller and quieter. Might as well just watch Formula E.

I want to hear the engine more than just a high-pitched noise(regardless if it is a V12, V10 or V8)!:P Also, there were turbos in F1 already, did everybody hate on it that much too? Oh wait, the internet didn't exist back then!xD I think the ones ruining it is the FIA(I wonder which people come up with such retarded ideas like the double points for the last race) and Bernie "Arrest him already" Ecclestone. Also, if it takes much longer to get anywhere, Jean Todt should be axed too, been quite useless so far. They should have voted for Ari Vatanen back then:( The indeciciveness about things(budget cap, will you finally come 2015?) and bad rules(double points, 5s penalties, why didn't they predict car noses beforehand when they lowered the max height) is what is really bugging me right now. There are bigger issues than the engine sound. For example, it seems ike the FIA was much too excited about annoucing personal numbers for the drivers. As if there weren't any more important things to decide!
Senad Galijasevic Formula E can be very exciting I guess ... I like it anyway because of the technical challenge. Speaking of which; Formula 1 is up to a great challenge this season and that is a good thing! I, for one, like the turbo sound!
