Exploring Hell’s Canyon – DEEPEST Gorge in North America | Jet-Boating, Hiking
SHHHH....Some say this river paradise gorge should be a national park but perhaps we should keep it to ourselves. It's Deeper than the Grand Canyon with just a fraction of the visitors. That means there are many areas to be alone in this 650,000+ acre park. In fact, over 200,000 acres are wilderness. It's also close to the Frank Church Wilderness area too. I created this video to show you how to get around the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and where to stay. This is a compilation of a few visits I've made over the last couple years. You'll see that my favorite way to explore this wild and scenic river is via jet boat! Please jump into the comments if you've been to the area, are p...

I thoroughly enjoyed your Oregon Coast video. You have a great talent for highlighting key points. My wife and I live near Sacramento and want to relocate due to heat, water shortages, and fires. We've visited Crescent City and Brookings, but had trouble getting insurance in Crescent City. We're hoping you can help us find the perfect Oregon Coast city based on our preferences: Evergreen trees Organic gardening (45-75 degrees Fahrenheit) Small rivers Beaches Pesticide/chemical-free zones Plant-based eateries (a plus!) Warm communities Reasonable sun for Oregon We were planning an Astoria trip, but after your video, we're open to other options. Thank you for your time. We look forward to hearing from you! Daren

Your relocation list is a great starting point! I don’t live in Oregon but I know many viewers do. I’m hoping they can jump in with some feedback and options for criteria like ‘welcoming communities’. That’s always a bonus but hard to figure out without some real experience. Have you thought about spending some time in the different areas? Home hunting is hard work - you’ll need some beach relaxation time factored in. 😁

Thx again for a great Video! Really comprehensive... and understandable. You covered the whole area. A lifetime ago (late '90s), my friend and I did a guided six-day Rubber Ducky rafting trip on the Salmon. Quite the wild ride, each of us in our individual boats, sitting right at water level. A little bit terrifying ;) At one point or another, everyone got thrown out of their boat -- except my friend and one guide. My friend is an athletic beast ;) On the sixth day, we landed at the confluence, turned in all our gear and got a jet boat ride back to Lewiston. I think I'm remembering it right. Incredible area. I've done a lot of river rafting over the years, including 13 days on the Grand Canyon. But my absolute favorite river is a one-day trip on the Lochsa (means Wild Water) in Idaho. The best!!! And fyi, I'm gonna make that Asian noodle salad. Looks so good :)

A week long trip on the Salmon would be a lifetime memory! WOW. And the person who is the best power swimmer stays dry - haha! You’ve got me inspired to check out the Lochsa River. Idaho is so gorgeous and wild, it’d be fun to spend a few summers floating and cruising around. If you make the salad, be sure to go big on the herbs and dressing. Game changer. 🥰. Aawww, the manatees! 2002ish, I snorkeled with them in Crystal Springs, near Tampa. One of the highlights of my life. I can't understand why Florida doesn't ban outboard motors in areas populated by manatees. Those props decimate our beautiful, slow moving sea cows. I guess boats are more important than these precious beings. And love the Wendell Berry quote, which I'd never heard: The food industry pays no attention to health; and the health industry pays no attention to food. That's it in a nutshell, isn't it?!? @@PlantBasedJan People have NO idea how much effort it is to put together a tight & quality video. You do... So I truly appreciate those that take the time. How many travel related videos I see where, you keep wondering where are they. Why don't they show a map. Or I can't understand what they are saying, or they overplay music so you can't hear what they say. We enjoy watching Less Junk More Journey - and they do a great job. He is very good with the camera. We used to trailer around a little bit in our little 21' trailer. Editing -- Even on my channel, before I had dropped off for church media ministry, it took many long hours to do a serious video. And I use a fairly professional editor (Vegas Pro). I remember when we gave end time seminars (about what the bible clearly shows about our time), where we were filming nearly every day, and then editing it for the next day; it took a great toll on us. But anything to help those that don't know. I grew up an atheist/scientist/engineer, but it was science that brought me to the bible, and the Bible brought me past nominal Christiandom to Adventist. That's one reason why we are so health conscious. Blessings !
